Our father in heaven, we come to you tonight and thank you first off just for the beautiful day, this great opportunity, and the beautiful weather you've been blessing us with here this spring. And it reads, "Whereas the Young Men's Christian Association, YMCA, founded in 1851 1851 in the United States, celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2026, making nearly two centuries of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. And whereas the YMCA of Morgan County established in 1961 and proudly serving Martinsville and surrounding communities for 65 years has upheld this mission by providing programs and services that enrich lives, promote wellness, and foster belonging for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Whereas the YMC County has become a cornerstone of community life, offering child care, youth sports, senior programs, health and f health and fitness initiatives, outreach services, and opportunities to ensure equitable access for all regardless of financial circumstances. And whereas generations of families, volunteers, staff, and community partners have contributed to the YMCA's enduring impact, helping to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected Martinsville. And whereas the dual anniversaries of the YMCA movement and the YMCA of Morton County represent a historic milestone worthy of recognition, celebration, and gratitude. And whereas the city of Martinsville acknowledges the YMCA YMCA as an essential institution that continues to inspire service, strengthen families, and support the well-being of our community. Now, therefore, I, Kenneth W. Cost, mayor of the city of Martinsville, Indiana, do hereby proclaim the week of May 11th to the 17th, 2026 as YMCA anniversary week. And we encourage all

So, please find find time to help them with this. This is something we have to do every 5 years. Additionally, all non-emergency offices and services will be closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day holiday.
