BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' APPROVAL OF WARRANT LIST FOR DISBURSEMENT VIA CHECKS AND ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS TO COMPLY WITH STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS

Pursuant to Chapter 136.06, Florida Statutes, checks, and electronic payments issued by the Board of County Commissioners are to be recorded in the Board meeting minutes. In compliance with statutory requirements, the Warrant List is added to the Consent Agenda for approval by the Board of County Commissioners. This Warrant List is for disbursements made between August 10 and August 30, 2026. Additional details related to these disbursements may be viewed in the office of the Martin County Clerk of Court and Comptroller or on the Clerk's website.

The Board is asked to approve minutes from the July 13, 2026 budget workshop meeting and the July 28 and August 11, 2026 regular meetings.

The Board is asked to adopt a proclamation declaring Fire Prevention Week in Martin County, Florida.

ADOPT A PROCLAMATION DECLARING SUICIDE PREVENTION AWARENESS MONTH IN MARTIN COUNTY, FLORIDA

The Board is asked to adopt a proclamation declaring Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in Martin County, Florida.

RENEWED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN MARTIN COUNTY AND THE TOWN OF SEWALL'S POINT FOR BUILDING OFFICIAL, INSPECTION AND PLAN REVIEW SERVICES

Martin County has historically been providing Building Official, Inspection and Plan Review services to the Town of Sewall's Point on an as-needed basis via an Interlocal Agreement (IA). The Interlocal Agreement is being renewed for another 12-month term, as well as being updated to streamline future extensions and adjust fees to reflect current costs.

CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION ADJUSTING THE SCHEDULE OF MAXIMUM RATES FOR THE TOWING AND STORAGE OF VEHICLES

As required by Section 115.13, General Ordinances, Martin County Code, Resolution No. 17-5.17 established maximum rates for the towing and storage of vehicles and provided for an annual automatic adjustment based on the percentage change in the January Consumer Price Index (CPI) - All Urban Consumers for the United States. Based on the methodology established in Resolution No. 17-5.17, a rate adjustment is required for the time period from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.

APPROVAL OF FIRST AMENDMENT TO INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARTIN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND THE TOWN OF JUPITER ISLAND

The proposed First Amendment to Interlocal Agreement between Martin County and the Town of Jupiter Island provides for the renewal of the current Interlocal Agreement for highly skilled first responders for the Town to ensure emergency medical services and fire protection support are available to residents, guests, and visitors of the Town on a 24-hour basis. The renewal commences on October 1, 2027 for a five (5) year term through September 30, 2032.

LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPOINTMENTS

After solicitation of applicants due to two members' terms expiring later this month and a resignation, the Board is asked to make three appointments to the Library Board of Trustees.
