As always, would like to thank you so much for your support. It is much appreciated that we always get so much support from the board, as always. We couldn't do what we do without all of you, as always. Since our last meeting, we've had all of our exciting activities. We have our usual things like our health talks, exercise classes.

2:41 – 3:11Speaker 4

Our farmers market now is monthly, but it's much appreciated. We are able to serve probably about 70 people, and in fact, we have one tomorrow. The week of September 22 is fall prevention week, so we have some health talks planned during that week on that topic, both in English and in Spanish, some presentations. October 13 at 11:30, our wonderful, very talented chorus is going to be performing for us, so stop by if you can. You know we have a lot of talent at our center.

3:11 – 3:56Speaker 4

October 24 is International Folk Festival Day where we celebrate all nationalities and all Everyone comes dressed in their national colors, they tell about where they're from, a lot of people like to bring food, which we don't encourage, but they do. October 31, we have our Halloween costume parade at 11:30. November 14, everyone's favorite day, WE bowling tournament, so start practicing, come out. November 18, we have our Thanksgiving basket day, so if any members of the public have any donations they'd like to donate to the center, we're accepting nonperishable items, toiletries, pies, frozen poultry of all kinds, chickens, turkeys. We assemble baskets.

3:56 – 4:35Speaker 4

I think last year we did, I think, 70 baskets, but you know, we like to increase the amount that we are able to give out every year. December 9 at 11:30, our chorus is gonna be doing their production that day. We call it the in house production. There's people singing, probably some poetry, different expressions of talent on that day. On December 11, Denise takes some members of the center to Tradewinds Park to see the Fantasy of Lights trip. On one of our buses, they go through, and they always like to They sing on the bus, and they have a lot of fun that night. December 15, we're having what we call a holiday race. It's like a game that we have these big blow up dice, they

4:36 – 5:20Speaker 4

playing field on the floor, and they move these wooden horses. But the horses have holiday themed heads, like a dreidel and a Santa Claus, and it's fun. So that day is holiday raceUgly Sweater Day, so that's fun. December 26, we have big bingo, and December 31, celebrate the New Year with a toast at noon, because we have Noon Year's toast. So that's us from now until the end of the year. But mixed in between, we have health talks and different programs, and we're also trying to we're going to discuss the mayor kindly referred us a new activity that we're going to meet with the commissioner to figure out how that's gonna work for us, but we're gonna incorporate that into our programming as well. So that's a health activity. So that's us.

5:21Speaker 1

It just took care of my whole year.

5:24 – 5:36Speaker 4

And we also had Florida Telecommunications Relay. They give out free phones for people that are hard of hearing. It's those phones with the big captions. She's been there twice already, and she ran out of phones. So And we had to

5:36Speaker 1

think that most of the people you have there suddenly have become hard of hearing?

5:39 – 5:56Speaker 4

Correct. And also what she does, once she gives out the phone, then she also explains how they work. So now she's coming back October 8, I wanna say it is. She's coming back again because she not she ran out of phone. Plus when the people receive the phone, then she goes over it with them like this is how you so she's coming back October 8 for another session.

5:58Speaker 3

That's only for people with hard lines

6:00Speaker 5

for the school.

6:01 – 6:22Speaker 4

Right? No. It's actually there's a little cell phone amplifier thing. Right? Yeah. There's, like, a little thing you can hook to your cell phone, and it amplifies the cell phone as well. So yeah. October 8, 09:30, I believe, she's coming. But you have to demonstrate an example of you don't have to have a hearing aid or a cochlear implant, but she'll give you a hearing test there to determine the need.

6:23Speaker 3

I'm sorry. Where is she?

6:25Speaker 1

I knew that. I was about to tell you, like I so knew that. I fell for that. Yeah.

6:29Speaker 4

I'm new here.

6:29Speaker 1

So knew that was coming.

6:33Speaker 4

So that's the story.
