The City's auditors, Pattillo, Brown and Hill, L.L.P., have audited the City's financial statements and have issued an unqualified opinion, which means that the financial statements are presented fairly in all material respects in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report will be submitted to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award. The City has achieved this recognition since 2004 and strives each year to receive this prestigious award. The auditor's letter and the audit report will be distributed at the Council meeting.
