Members of the public are invited to speak at the Manitowoc Public Library Board of Trustees meeting each month on any matter related to the oversight of Manitowoc Public Library. The comments from each speaker shall be limited to five minutes in length unless extended by action of the Manitowoc Public Library Board of Trustees. Do we have anybody present online or in person that would like to give public input today? Going twice. Any public input? Three times? Okay. Public comment is closed, and we'll move on to approval of minutes. So we have our regular board meeting minutes from March 24.

It was that first weekend in April. But and then leadership of Manitowoc County came for another presentation. They were using our space, but presenter was late, so I gave this impromptu tour to all of them. Perfect. That was fun.
So out of the humor with that. And then we do have one to one literacy reception is this coming weekend on May 4, if you were interested in that at 12:30. I think the awards are at, like, 01:30. But if you'd like to eat, you're on 12:30. And, And, of course, the manager highlights lots of good stuff in there. Anybody has any questions or comments?
What's the plan in the event of federal grant funding that

If your kids come to library and talk to people that are inappropriate, that has nothing to do with the library.

had one person that was filling our 25 o per week who was seeking different opportunities. So she turned her resignation, so we are now two positions open. So we're exploring many opportunities. One was with Ascend. We met with three representatives last week. We're also looking at getting temporary business or temporary services with either generator one, generator pro, and the other one locally here. I always can't remember that name. That's the only steamer. It's the other one. And what? You wanna be helping him? Well, anyway. No. It was up to all staff too. They're filling in for the vacancies that we do.
So they're filling in toilet paper and sweeping and can't get to make toilet, but there comes a bed. I'm sure they will. From top panel too. So so So thank you very much. We've got the radio HVAC. The seagulls, we tried to bring up a camera. We're gonna start with usually, didn't do little waiting till last. We tried bringing a camera up on the open, but they destroyed that one. They destroyed it. You just oh god. Right. You couldn't see through it.
And we camouflage it.
They don't like anything that's out of the ordinary. So they took the camouflage off out and then we got that camera. So we're not doing cameras. We thought it'd be kind of a new idea. Don't know.
We already talked about that, but Whether it was mind, body, or spirit, we did a great job. It went on perfectly without any flaws, especially when we got the valet service. Was top notch. No crashes. No accidents.
Lots of tips. So and then lastly, our fish committee had a draft tailgater for staff last week. So we thought about either renting out the staff break room with our TV for people up in Green Bay to come here for a thousand bucks a night. But, no, we had no takers, so we thought we'd give it over to the staff. So we have TV with the draft going. We had fun and games, hot dogs, and root beer from. So I'm sorry. Good time. So we thank staff for being involved in the fish community and our person who advises So is there any so that's all I have. Do have any questions?
I just wanted to ask for the physician. Mhmm. So to be clear, that's our janitorial Right. Maintenance position. And we are thinking about exploring just the position and it being competitive in terms of pay and hours. So I may be looking to change that up. But we're doing the research behind it first. So Okay. So I don't know if there's anything I'm not gonna push forward any new policies in the next three weeks. So due to lack of agenda items, we could cancel the meeting unless there is an emergency. That Terri can call emergency meeting. Right. Right. If something were to come up, I can still call a meeting. But as of right now, with there not being anything pressing for agenda items, I did want
