Perfect, the first item of business is new business. The following legislation will be assigned to committee. Items one through six will be assigned appropriations. Item seven will be assigned to budget. Item eight and nine assigned to equity, community affairs, housing, health, and education. We're joined by Councilwoman Chappell. Item 10 through 12 will be assigned to labor and economic development. Item 13 will be assigned to parks and sustainability. Items 14 through 15 will be assigned to planning and zoning. Items 16 through 17 will be assigned to public works. Any objections about any of the assignments? So they are assigned. Madam Clerk, next we have pending legislation, a reading of item 18, please.

A resolution pursuant to the capital and operating budget ordinance is approving the appropriation to fund the following professional service contract for Louisville Metro Office of Internal Audit for Workplace Investigation Services, Bols, Stauffer, and Graves, LLP, $20,000.

Hello, I am David Gooch with the Office of Internal Audit. So this is a harassment investigation contract that's required by ordinance for any allegations against Metro council members or employees. We're required to send any complaint such as that to a third-party investigator, which is why I'm here.

Got you. So essentially, this is like when people call in on the tip line or report something, we then assign it to an investigator. The previous investigator unit, this is a change in contract, correct? Yes, different investigator. Different investigative unit. Bell Stouffer Graves, a premier law firm here in town. Mr. Jackson is a premier lawyer here in town. And so any questions or concerns regarding this?

His finger went up first. Go ahead. Thank you, Mr. President. Was this a sole source contract or has this been RFP'd?

This was a professional service contract where we got three quotes. before making the purchase. The value contracts capped at $20,000. Okay. How many hours does that allow us? Well, it depends on the people.

Okay.

The partner bills out at 200 an hour. The associate attorney's billed at 125 an hour. And the paralegal's billed out at 75 an hour. So it depends on who does the work.

Zero. The year before that, there were one, I think, and the year before that, there were four.

Yes. Thank you. Amanda Baker for the record. Um, I'm happy to answer any questions. I know I had said that a few weeks ago, but hopefully folks have had some time to digest. This is a fairly straightforward ordinance. It is just a cleanup of the title three section following that standard under 83 a cleaning up for inconsistencies with state law within the code itself and eliminating any redundant or obsolete sections of the code.
