Thank you. Good job. That's That's awesome. Uh next up is road work request. I think everybody at the top of your list is remove his eyes off the road and uh trust me, we're trying. Uh but unfortunately between us and the state, we are doing everything in our power. Uh we are breaking equipment left and right. Uh putting it back together and pushing it back out there. With that being said, district one, district one continue maint some snow removal, ice removal. I really do appreciate all guys, all their work. I mean, every all appreciate everything that District 2. Um, they've removed trees when you couldn't hardly get to the roads. Um, they've done an awesome job and be safe and continue doing what you're doing. Thank you, District 3. Not much to add. Just thank you for all that's been done. I'm glad that everybody's had safety most of all, but just continue to do what you do. Same thing. Just continue maintenance, be safe. We appreciate all the hard work.
I do have something to say.
Um, I was checking the roads yesterday. I tried to get to all of them, but um something amazing happened. I was on Shaker Town Road, which is in pretty bad shape, and then they came upon a tractor. And in that tractor was a farmer and his wife who were both together. So I followed them down there and I noticed they went on back to their farm. And when I got in there, I said, "Thank you." I got out, talked to her. I said, "Thank you. I know you're trying to help cuz there so they said we know that not they said their names were Mike excuse me and he real but before I left they said you need to be aware that Michael has been working on I said oh I don't have a phone number but I did have a Facebook account so I went on Facebook I said wow thank you for Afric said, "Are you aware that did I have and part of that?" I said, "No." And it just kept going. And this is what I have to say. We live in a county that not one ugly word was said and they all said, "Well, I didn't mind. I just wanted to help." I can't tell you what a grateful thing it was to have that domino effect to say to the people in this county and this morning to this court. Thank you.
That's all I need to say. District 6. With that being said, we've had a lot of people out working. Farmers were very appreci and I'm very appreciative of all their work. All our emergency services that have been out. They've been working uh nonstop trying to do everything they can. uh the jail uh that they they've done a wonderful job of trying to keep uh inmates working, helping us with with the uh inmates. Uh are very appreciative everyone has stepped out and done work. I think once they got out and actually tried to to to combat, they see what we're talking about about not being able to move this stuff. It's it's solid ice. With that being said, I need approval road work request. So move second.
I got a motion and a second. Um, we have no further discussion. Roll call, please. Diamond, yes. Good. Yes. Wilco, yes. Harper, yes. Crawford, yes. Balden, yes. Baker, yes. Next up is our elected officials. Uh, I told Stacy I'd go ahead and move her up. And she said she has nothing for us today. I I do want to let everyone know we're going to close the office at 4, but this week we just get our county office will be closing at 4 for the remainder of the week and opening at 800.
And we're obviously going to do Saturday. Okay. Saturday 9:30 as well. Okay. Uh, I will put that on my uh list. Thank you.
All right. Moving forward. Sheriff, do you have anything for us? Academy. I'm sure if you have a working on that you have an update for us as far as your department is on this winter weather wonderland. I don't like to say a whole lot but actually was extremely quiet. Uh we did manage a few DIS during the snowstorm but uh as accidents people stayed home and those that did get out drove very proud of calls that we were prepared in this we did get several rides search and rescue took a lot of that off of us cuz they you know we try to do a couple every time we try end up having to go somewhere off. No, it was it was very good. Got it done as usual. So, very good. Tell all your tell all your deputies and your staff. Thank you. They they love what they do. They appreciate the support always. Make a motion to approve [clears throat] personal action request for Kenneth Jau effective
um January 19th 2026 to move from LC-ST-1 to LC-SO-1 with zero years experience. I have a second. Have a motion and a second. Heat. Heat. This is you actually generally run to shift not shift. All right, with that being said, I have a motion in a second. Any further discussion? If not, roll call.
Yes. Good. Yes. Yes. Harper. Yes. Crawford. Yes. [clears throat] Yes.
Is that it, sir? That's it. Thank you, Sheriff. Next, come on up. Gentlemen, you have anything for us? I just wanted to thank our staff and emergency management, all the transportation that was given for essential personnel, all the nurses, medical staff especially, but uh but we had some that went above and beyond at the jails. We have some that live out of state that we couldn't get to. uh others that live either um in the county or surrounding county. We were we were trying to we we were getting to we were leaving, you know, 4 or 5:00 to get them there before 6:00 to start the shift. But but we had some that stayed um that stayed at the jail uh or if we would we would go get uh but they they they just went above and beyond. they put a lot of time in and I just want to thank them for uh cuz it it's been some some really early mornings uh and some late nights and diebacks each day. So, but uh just thank them for all the work that they've done. So, to prepare for this and but and I've got other items on the agenda later, but thank you.
There you go. Moving forward to department heads u archives and grant writing. Do you have anything for us? She know it's good.
Before I start, I want to jump on the Thank you, guys. Our main guy is amazing. He's amazing. All right, Chris. Yeah, thank you for saying that. Curtis has has worked his tail off the last few days, clearing the sidewalks and everything around the uh county buildings around here. Yeah, we cannot leave Curtis out.
He has. He He has been out there at dark 30 when I come in because Jason drops me off yesterday, but the sidewalks are safe and we can get in and out of the building and he's just been amazing. All right, Grant. We have one um that sheriff is working on Olivia. This is where that note comes into relevance. It is the Kentucky Department of Homeland Security Law Enforcement Protection Program. It is for um purchases of body armor, weapons, ammunition, pretty much anything that the sheriff needs. It is a reimbursement grant, so he is going to have to spend the funds to get them back. Um the deadline, we've got a little bit, but we want to go ahead and get this in. So, not wait till the last minute. Is there a limit on it? How much is it?
No. Like on the ammo, it's it has a reference of 500 rounds per weapon, which is for us about 18,000 rounds of ammo. But it also does rifles uh body armor which are up to date bodys which are up to date as well. So when you're looking at ammunition regardless. All right, we had a motion in a second. Sorry. We got things going on up here. With that being said, no discussion.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Harper. Yes. Crawford. Yes. Holden. Yes. Hiker. Yes. Questions. We do have another one that I know this morning. I just gave it to the sheriff. Please look at it. We'll probably come back later. Is a 100% because the um usually purchases. We submitted the grand. Yes, we did. So,
yeah. So, and we'll know something about it by March or April. you know, counties that don't have people like you who found these mow through their expenses without this kind of help. So, while you're thanking everybody, thank you for sending these grants. They come to me. I just have to do they don't just come to you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Did y'all get a tap submitted? You talked about sub for we have submitted for the tap grant. Correct.
Yes, we submitted but we haven't heard anything. Yes, we did submit for the T grant. It was due on the 19th. They extended it to the 26th. Um, so I'm not quite sure when that actually um gets notified, but the grant is due February 24th. So that one's transportation related to let us know what we need. All right. Thank you. Uh, moving forward, solid waste. Nathan Copper, you ready?
Oh, yeah. You go ahead. It's fine. He's got something on the list later that he's going to be waiting on anyway. So, he's so together. I just wanted to note real quick that we picked up 419 miles, 4,332 bags, and that was a 6% increase from 2024 559 uh dead jail. So appreciate very much the crew out there and 27 nonprofits that help continue to see that growth. We didn't spend all the money. So that's always something that we spend about $1,000. Nothing on that tablet. Uh I put a list of all haulers in there for your reference. And so you just got to keep up with who's who in this list. Um, and I did have today one hauler to present for approval. And that hauler is called Silver Creeks. They're based upon and they got all their insurance and fee payment to Amanda. So closer to you. [laughter] I make a motion to approve rentals as a call. Did I get a second? Okay. I apologize. I just didn't hear up here. I have a motion and a second to approve. Uh any discussion? If not, roll.
Yes. Good. Yes. Yes. Harper. Yes. Harford. Yes. Holden. Yes. Baker.
Yes. And uh only um has two or three recyclers to approve that I inspected in this last period. Uh one is Morgan's recycling. That's out on Stevensonville Road east of Russellville. They're temporarily closed at the current time when they land open back up in the spring keeping their permits. We have come to a scrap which is a former town road in Russville business here in American sustainable pallets west second street and all three of these were inspected and everything is finally paid their fee and motion to approve second. I have a motion in a second. No discussion roll call.
Yes. Good. Yes. Yes. Harvard. Yes. Crawford. Yes. Hold. Yes. Baker.
Yes. Thank you. Update on the Southeast garbage services. I've been getting some questions about that. Just to put that out there for the garbage service working. There's an outside chance they could run tomorrow. Sam the manager told me, but probably more likely than not. And so what'll happen? That means all the service was missed this week uh for garbage. And so as has been done in the past, they're sincere to get back on next week as we talk. But what you can do is customers can put out garbage that was missed last week outside their tote and stop get all that garbage and pick it up. Uh at that time they said Sam said one thing though they they can't do a lot of folks try I guess with a little more time on their hands. trying to clean out the garage and large large items out. So, what about what about the recycling?
So, recycling, if you're like me, recycling actually was this week. As sad as it is, that we missed because they have a dedicated drive now for recycling. And he explained to me there's just not really much way to get back. So, you know, you have to wait till next month. And you're of course welcome to take those out back if you had to, you know, all right. Any other questions for everybody? Thank you, sir. Thank you. Uh, next up is Eric with the animal shelter. You you don't have any report. Okay, great. Moving forward to judge's announcements. I'm going to try to make this brief because we don't have a whole lot going on. But [clears throat] there are some good things and some bad things. The uh one thing I'm really disappointed about is the second annual donkey basketball and school that was scheduled for tomorrow will be cancelled or Saturday, sorry, is canled January 31st. That is canled. Um February 7th is the monthly countywide outdoor warning system test. Uh it was scheduled at noon. In the event of inclimate weather, the test will be rescheduled. Uh the Endeavor Volunteer Fire Department is holding a chili dinner fundraiser on Saturday, February 7th at 6:00 p.m. at their station located 1107 National Road in Advil. Uh Dian plates are by donation or go plates are available for $10. Uh February the 11th, the Auburn senior citizen will be having a Valentine lunch uh at 12:00 p.m. uh lunch that is uh please call for reservations uh 2705428223 uh Monday through Thursday 9-2. Uh February the 13th, Logan County High School Baseball is holding the third annual chili supper uh from 5 to 7 in the high school cafeteria. For a $10 donation, you receive a bowl of chili,
hot dog, and chips. uh your choice of dessert and a drink. And January the 31st from 9:30 to 12:00, the clerk's office will be open for vehicle business only. Uh make sure you pay attention to your cards. If it has anything about the PBA, you need to do that on Friday, by Friday before closing time. Uh I think that's all the announcements I have. Um I don't think we have any reports at this time um committee reports because I don't think much has gone on since our last meeting. So moving forward through citizens participation of the hundreds of thousands that are in existence here today. If anyone would like to speak now's your time to come forward. All right. I'm going take that as everybody is is happy or shy like shy. Uh we have no old business. So let's move on to news new business. Item number one knowledge receive the county clerk's calendar year 2025 fee report recap. Stacy, you have anything you want to or Jim one is there anything you want to highlight on the report? No.
Good morning. We did um really great this year. Uh I didn't look back much farther, but um we collected 9,347,494.35 in fees this year. Um that's larger than the since I've been doing it. So that's our largest year. So and we paid um ex in excess fees to fiscal court $900,14940. Excellent. Make a motion to acknowledge the receipt of the clerk's 25 calendar year report.
Second. I have a motion to acknowledge and a second. No discussion. Roll call, please. Yes. Good. Yes. Welcome. Yes. Parker, yes. Crawford, yes. Holden, yes. Baker, yes. And since you're standing up here, we'll go ahead and item number two. I'll approve of the finalized calendar year 2025 county clerk's fe budget. So move second. I have a motion and a second. There's no discussion. Roll call. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Crawford. Yes.
Holden. Yes. Baker. Yes.
Thank you. Thank you. Item number three, approve the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-150 for the county Logan County Animal Shelter for a total cost of 12,500. Uh you'll see that uh the vehicle is detailed there. Uh and then there's uh comp other uh quotes from other uh dealerships that that are comparable to the same vehicle. There should be a Carfax report in there and Eric, if you have anything else you want to say about it. I just wanted real quick one that we're looking at 12,500. The deal we're getting from Roy is amazing. I mean, he's threw extras in it. We actually he sliding bed so we can actually pull out. So, uh when we put the cles in, we'll be able to slide out instead of trying to reach over the bed. So he threw that in. He had another truck. He just threw that in for us. Um, so it already has it already has a shady go lights. I mean, so it has warning lights, so we have to stop on the side of the road. We can turn the lights on. Uh, it's fourwheel drive, which is great. We got stuck yesterday trying to get get a dog. It's well well below our budgeted number. Motion to approve purchase of 2019 Ford a total of $12,500 from Roy Wayne and you get in there transfer fees to any transport fees anything to gohead. Sorry, I was looking for the proper wording for that. All those things.
[laughter] I have a motion and a second for all those things. We have no discussion or any questions. No, sounds good. Yes. Good. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Baker. Yes.
And then just a quick question. I'm sure somebody would know cuz we want to get it stickered. If we could, anybody has any idea of where we can go would be great. I love uh the outfitters LW. If you figure out a design or something you want, then I I can send it to them and then they'll ship it to you. body shop about $5,000 under the inmates over this whole thing while the weather was Yes, we appreciate that cheaper than magnets that you can move from. The stickers are more professional. Have a tendency of blowing off and especially with that being an aluminum vehicle. The forwards like that are mostly aluminum. So, so we'll talk about that later. Thank you. Good, good, good idea, Miss Amber. Thank you. I for approve of the AR state and local uh fiscal recovery fund expenditure approval in the amount of $43,420.38.
Make a motion to approve. Second. I have a motion and a second. Can you give me one second? What is this for? Provisions of government services. And this is we're spending it where the money you want with that go back in the general fund for dinner. This is No, it's already we already have the funds.
Yeah, the funds are there. Yeah, this is just one of the expenditures where some of the broad we are pretty close to having all of those funds expended. Okay, so this is one of the final that we Okay, any other questions? Davenport, yes. Good. Yes. Wil, yes. Harper, yes. Crawford, yes. Golden, yes.
Baker, yes. I'm going to ask that item number five be tabled till the next meeting. Uh, Ginger has lost her mother. She's not able to be here today. Uh so if it's okay I'm going to ask that we table number five till next week which is uh quotes for generator maintenance at the location ECC second have a motion to second roll call please yes good yes yes yes yes yes
yes item number six approve the guts agreement for the lone county sheriff's department for calendar year 2026. Sheriff, you want to go forward and discuss this?
Yeah, this just a pretty standard thing that we've done the past couple years. Uh they do have the language in there that requires the I guess if there's a dispute of contract be done in the state of Kentucky. So be sure that was correct. I know I think it's the same to you, but we did We do have an email that states yes I think that our little fight a couple years ago helped yes the state of the state put it in I think it's the same contract you entered into last year yes so it's pretty much the same contract it's just renewed every year so that runs our tax base website and our software office motion to approve
second I have a motion in a second. Any discussion? Not Rogoff. Davenport. Yes. Good. Yes. Wilfoot. Yes. Harper or Yeah, Harper. Sorry. Yes. Crawford. Yes. Balden. Yes. Baker.
Yes. Uh item number seven, discuss digitizing the vehicle inspection process of county Sheriff's Department and the purchase of an iPad for vehicle inspections. So the uh the way vehicle inspections are going to start be doing pretty soon is the state for put together a digital inspection sheet form. So our inspection sheets used to be done by hand paper which had our inspection on it and they discovered that people were taking our number keeping it and then creating their own inspections with the number. Nobody ever really knew it. So this is to keep down that type of theft uh for autos from you know just I guess car dealers that chose to do things you know to move some of the cars throughout the state. So it's no preventive way to prevent that. So at the office we can put the app on our computers but when we go out do inspections in the field that is the need for uh that's all I have before use have the inspection thing. So once you inspect the vehicle through the online service it automatically goes to Frankfurt and then the office. It's done. Nobody [music] inspire existing contract with our self. So what is what kind of motion we need to make
approving the board to the judge's office to add to the existing purchas the bill monthly and it covers the iPad service, you know, cheaper buy. I just fig le you're talking about doing one on cell base, not Wi-Fi.
Yeah, it has to be cellbase because Okay. You may not have Wi-Fi. Okay. I was thinking that we have the road guys. We thought maybe Cruisers may be trying to get service to purchase the necessary needed to do vehicle inspections remotely that includes a day. Second.
A motion and a second. If no further discussion, roll call, please. Yes. Yes. Yes. Harper. Yes. Robert, yes. Yes. Baker. Yes. Thank you, sir. Sorry about that. I was thinking I was completely wild. Totally understood. Thank you, sir. I approve to reappoint Tony Adler to the Todd County Water Commission board for a three-year term effective February the 14th, 2026. Motion to approve second. I have a motion and a second.
Yes. Good. Yes. Harper, yes. Crawford, yes. Walden, yes. Baker. Yes. This brings us into executive session. We have no reason to go to executive session. Uh which pushes us to post agenda. Is there anything for the post agenda that's like to discuss? If not, I entertain a motion to journ. Thank you all. Have a wonderful day.
