PROCLAIMING MARCH 2026 AS DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AWARENESS MONTH IN LIVINGSTON COUNTY

WHEREAS, Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is observed each year to raise awareness of the abilities, contributions, and rights of individuals with developmental disabilities; and WHEREAS, individuals with developmental disabilities are valued members of our community who enrich Livingston County through their participation in family life, employment, education, and civic engagement; and WHEREAS, inclusive communities are strengthened when barriers are reduced, dignity is upheld, and individuals are supported to live full and meaningful lives; and WHEREAS, organizations such as Arc GLOW play a vital role in providing support, advocacy, and services that promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities; and WHEREAS, increasing public understanding and awareness helps foster acceptance, respect, and opportunity for all members of our community, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Livingston County Board of Supervisors hereby proclaims March 2026 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in Livingston County. All residents, businesses and community organizations are encouraged to recognize this month by promoting inclusion, challenging misconceptions, and supporting efforts that ensure individuals with developmental disabilities are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. RESCINDING LOCAL LAW NO. B-2026 AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OR SALE OF COUNTY REAL PROPERTY WITHOUT PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT OR COMPETITIVE BIDDING

WHEREAS, proposed Local Law No. B-2026 entitled Authorizing The Lease Or Sale Of County Real Property Without Public Advertisement Or Competitive Bidding was heretofore introduced on January 14, 2026; and WHEREAS, in accordance with State law, a public hearing upon proposed Local Law No. B-2026 was duly held before this Board of Supervisors on January 28, 2026, at which time the public hearing remained open until February 11, 2026 for further discussion; and WHEREAS, on February 11, 2026, upon the public hearing being closed, proposed Local Law No. B-2026 was adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of this Board; and WHEREAS, after hearing continued concerns from the community about this Local Law, as part of responsible governance, the Board now makes the deliberate choice to listen to the public and prioritize trust and public confidence; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the aforesaid Local Law No. B-2026 entitled Authorizing the Lease or Sale of County Real Property Without Public Advertisement or Competitive Bidding introduced on January 14, 2026, is hereby rescinded as passed by Resolution No. 2026-66 dated February 11, 2026. CORRECTING TAX ROLL-TOWN OF OSSIAN

WHEREAS, the Livingston County Real Property Tax Services Director has transmitted a written report of his investigation and recommendation with regard to one application (1 parcel) for correction of the tax roll, pursuant to the Real Property Tax Law, as prepared for the Town of Ossian on the tax roll for the years hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, said parcel was incorrectly assessed and/or taxed for reasons set forth in the application for correction requested from the Livingston County Real Property Tax Services Director; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Livingston County Real Property Tax Services Director is authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the officer having jurisdiction of the tax roll so that the roll can be corrected and a notice of approval sent to the applicant; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Livingston County Treasurer and/or Town Tax Collector is hereby authorized to make the tax roll corrections and forward the corrected tax bill. WHEREAS, proposed Local Law No. C-2026 entitled Extending The Existing Livingston County Guest Room Occupancy Tax was heretofore introduced on February 11, 2026; and WHEREAS, in accordance with State law, a public hearing upon proposed Local Law No. C-2026 was duly held before this Board of Supervisors on February 25, 2026; and WHEREAS, said proposed Local Law in final form has been on the desks of the members of this Board of Supervisors since February 11, 2026, constituting a period of over six (6) days; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the aforesaid proposed Local Law No. C-2026 entitled Extending The Existing Livingston County Guest Room Occupancy Tax introduced on February 11, 2026, is hereby approved and adopted as Local Law No. 2-2026.
