Board of Zoning Appeals - Regular Meeting

Hello and welcome to the Minutes Minute. The April 6th governing body meeting was focused on consent agenda items, all of which were approved. That included agreements for school crossing guards and resource officers for the upcoming school years, along with several public works projects. Those included sidewalk and crosswalk improvements near Town Center, continued design work on the 83rd Street reconstruction project, and progress on the safe streets for all initiative focused on improving safety for all roadway users. That program will kick off later this spring. The council also issued a proclamation recognizing the seven days of kindness initiative encouraging our community to come together through simple acts of kindness the week of April 20th. Council members added updates on committee efforts like a monarch butterfly pledge which will be referred to the sustainability advisory committee and updates around Leewood for the goal, including school outreach, the upcoming launch of shopdine leewood.com and how we're now taking registrations for the threeon-ree soccer tournament at leewood forthegoal.com. Finally, the city administrator shared updates on efforts to improve wireless coverage across the city, including potential tower upgrades and ongoing coordination with providers to address gaps in service.
