All right. Good morning everyone. Adequate notice of the special meeting of the Lawrence Counter Council being held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 was forwarded to the Tronian, The Times, and the Prince on December 23rd, 2025 by the musical clerk. We will now have an inspiration and our May. We carry out our work at this meeting in a just, honorable, and sincere manner. Always bearing in mind our duties in continuing to keep Lors a wonderful community in which to live.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Madam reck here. [clears throat] Mayor Palmer
here. Okay. Meeting will be brief this morning. Thank you all for attending. Um we're going to do the awarding and or rejection of bids. I could have a motion for the first. Mayor, I'd like to move uh A1 number 348 384 authorize the bid to MJ Birch Construction LLC for the rehabilitation of 81 Phillips Avenue. Second
there. This is a part of our rehabilitation plan. This is something we're fortuitous that we're here able to do this because this was an emergency situation. Um, and we needed to get this on so that the repair works, uh, performed by the contractor could get done since it's been very cold. And, um, so, uh, normally this would not be the purpose for a special meeting, but, we're just taking advantage of the fact that we're redeeming and we're able to get this, uh, resolve for the property. Thank you. Okay, the motion second. [laughter] Do we have any public participation on this matter? Seeing none. Madam clerk, if you could call the ro, please. Mr. Bett, yes. Mr. Kaki, yes. M. Perry, yes.
M. Yes. Yes. And now for resolution. Um, we can have a motion for resolution 385. Mayor on B1 number 385 authorizing the transfer of 2025 current fund appropriations for NJSA 448 4-58.
Second, M. And this is the purpose for our meeting to have it at the the calendar year of 2025. This was on our agenda last meeting. This particular transfer requires uh at least four votes of the governing body. Um and unfortunately the last meeting we only had three members. Uh one at at the last minute had a a medical situation and could not attend. So although we did get three votes for this was not enough to satisfy the statute and we wanted to make sure that we were able to get this transfer in in 2025. Okay.
Uh there's a motion and a second. Is there any discussion? See none. Madam clerk, if you could call the role, please. Mr. Bab, yes. Mr. Kaki, yes. Merry, yes. Yes. Okay. Um this brings us now for uh the opportunity in our meeting for public participation. [laughter] Okay. Seeing none closing public participation. Um any comments at this point? Hear none. Can we have a motion for journ? All in favor? I
thank you. [laughter] Okay. [laughter] Yeah. tomorrow.
