Planning & Zoning - Regular Meeting

Hey Las Cruces! We just had our work session on your community input for the strategic plan, and we heard your voice. From 331 survey responses, 86 public participation, and 4 focus groups, we have a good idea of what our community would like to see from us. So thank you all for your participation. Now what did we hear? First, we heard what you wanted us to keep doing. Providing community, culture, and natural environments for families and bringing quality of life while still keeping that small city feeling. But strengthening opportunities in housing, jobs, and things to do. While improving safety, well-being, infrastructure, affordability, and city responsiveness. Plus top three things you all wanted progress in was addressing homelessness, safety in our neighborhoods, and transparency from your city government. And there's so much we heard that I just can't fit in this short time I have. So if you want to see the full rundown, it's on our YouTube page, link in the description. But what's next? Our consultants will be drafting goals and priorities through September and finalize during September 28th's work session, so join us if you're interested.
