once you deep well inject it, that water tends to, for the majority, stay where you put it. You're going to lose some, and it's going to, in a roundabout way, leave through nooks and crannies. But for the majority of it, it's going to stay there, put, for you to pull out, possibly during the drought season. So aquifer storage and recovery, it's a little revolutionary. I mean, that's something that you have to look at. It could very well be negatively impacting someone else. So, not to mention all this water is basically making its way to the coast in one manner or another, specifically Freeport, and you have a large amount of industrial users that really want that water, that are waiting on it. But if you catch it before they get it, off topic same thing but on topic you keep hearing about these data centers i mean how much water around is that affecting us could it affect us they can always affect us they use it well it depends i haven't done enough preliminary research on this to speak in absolute confidence but it's they don't only have to use water for cooling there's other measures of To some degree, there's still going to be taking water, and yes, it is a tremendous amount of water. So I don't think currently we have a way to restrict that in some manner, other than the fact that we can serve it every day. Right.

Discussion regarding tentative budget, workshop dates and times.

Mayor and council, a few weeks ago I sent out an email to council requesting that you may or may not be available for budget meetings. I've heard back from most of you, and I think in speaking with the mayor and mayor's pro tem this morning, we'd like to propose that our first budget meeting be July 1st at noon. I know that's an early start, but we have a lot of important topics that we need to cover. I realize that's a church day, so we can get out before anyone

How long do you anticipate ? Because once school starts, after July 14, I'm not good with anything at lunch.

Yeah. I just really am pushing for that one daytime meeting, because I think it's important that we all sit and talk about some things. And then I think we can accomplish what we need to at evenings. I know, Dorothy, you've got quite a bit of availability month of July and Davis is out the full last week of July. Last year we kind of piggybacked our budget workshops pre-council meetings. I'm up for any other statements.

In Passes 2, Investments LLC, the property owner is asking to rezone from their existing retail with an approved specific use permit for one assisted living facility to a retail with a planned development overlay to allow for two four-story independent living The area is characterized as retail. The property is surrounded by single-family homes, ag, and retail properties. All notifications and publications as required by ordinance and statute have been made. Staff mailed 10 notices to property owners, and one letter in favor was received back and had to come from the property owner. The request was for both the Commission at the June 4th, 2026 meeting, and it passed with a 6-0 vote. So this is the area. that's where the plan development overlay would come from so how are we doing on defending that from fire i'm sure it's got to be sprinkled and i'm sure it's in the fire because i've already heard all about it well for building code you're required to sprinkle any building over two square

They are in place so that things don't happen to people in those four-story buildings or high-rise buildings. They'll be sprinkler. They'll be standpipe. They'll have smoke-protected enclosures in the stairwells that are too high on reinforcement.

The plan development requires that you identify specifically which portions of the zoning ordinance you are asking for council to approve you to vary from. So when they apply for their PD, they state very specifically, I'm looking for smaller setbacks. I'm looking for four story instead of three.
