Town Council - Regular Meeting

meeting at 6:00 p.m. Do you have a copy of the budget with you? The room is where you guys sign. So, I'm supposed to put some here resolut something. It says seven. But it was this. And this is saying this. This is what he sent me. Who's he? Daniel.

Well, this is the amount on last year's budget. This is the amount on this year's. So, I'm not signing $759

when it should be $831,000. [Applause] Yeah, for the tax has to go on top of that. So, well, these numbers are not correct. Wonder how can I look at it real quick? Dan, can you see if there's anything in my mail over there? Can I look see if there's anything in the mailboxes in my mail? For

anything. There wasn't for me. Maybe for you, for me, for April, for anybody. Did you forget to switch out? All right. Sorry. Thank you. It was all just me.

Um, is there a date this has to be in? I think it's to begin. Yeah. Well, our next meeting is scheduled on November 3rd. email. I'll email you. So, at this point under for our budget adoption, the numbers are not correct. It looks like it's just not updated. Yeah, but I'm not signing it if it's not updated. No. What's our deadline? When are we supposed to have this done? November 765.

Okay. So this number is yeah the h the maximum funds to be raised including appeals and levies exempt from maximum. So that's the adopted tax levy. That amount is correct. The budget budget amount is correct, but the budget amount is last year's budget amount, not this year's. And it went up considerably.

It was 759500 and the new one is supposed to be 831. I believe it was 831. So that is 30 + 40 that's a $70,000. Is there a way to make a motion to where we Okay you to sign it if if he sends her that up. We could do that. Um, how much did the salaries go up on this? Cuz we never heard a percentage or amount. I think it was 3% again. It was 4% last year,

wasn't it? 4%. So, we don't know what it was. He said it went up the same as it did last year. It was 4% last year. I think we did a big one last year cuz we knew that there'd be big changes coming with a lot of stuff. Well, that's what was allowed last year was 4%.

So, that's what we did. I guess I'm just a little disappointed that we don't know these percentages and that this number is not the correct number. But yeah, I'd say he just didn't change the cover sheet cuz everything else is cracked out. So, did you take the budgets into consideration that everybody turned in? I think those are and I mean that's stuff that we change inside Keystone a lot of it.

We have the deputy one on there. All right. Part-time deputy. So, Daniel basically did our budget. Correct. He put everything in for me. I gave him all the numbers I had. I hear in Patrick's budget and I hear Daniel's too.

Well, then I would like to ask for a motion that once the correct numbers are sent, yes, for myself as town council president to have permission to sign those budget papers when the correct amount comes in on the cover sheet. Correct. What is that actual cover sheet called? The ordinance of ordinance or resolution for appropriation and tax rates. And we also need an ordinance number or resolution number. Whichever one it's supposed to be. I just didn't know if it written. I don't know if it's ordinance or resolution. Whichever one it is does need to be written in, but we need to know. It's an ordinance number.

Okay. which I have. But once that's on here and then the correct number for the 831 is on here, then I would like to be able to sign these papers on behalf of the town. I will make a motion to go ahead and give Lori permission to okay the ordinance resolution for the appropriations for next year's um budgets at $831,143. Once that sheet is given, then she can sign it. I'll second that.

I would just like to I'm I'm a little disappointed on how the budget went this year. Um, usually we get everybody's budgets in, then we all sit down and we have a meeting and we kind of adjust this and that and that was not done. Partially could be on us for not pressing it to make it happen. Jacqueline, you've been the clerk for over a year now, so that should have been some on the schedule.

Um, and then to not have these papers right is another disappointing moment. So, I I don't know if we are failing you, if you are failing us, or if it's all my imagination, but it's a concern that I have. So, I'm bringing that out now is all. Okay. Anybody? Patrick, anything?
