Okay. Thank you for that. Uh item number three on the agenda will be approving the minutes for two previous meetings. This will be for DRC meeting for November 17th, 2025 and December 1st, 2025. Are there any notable changes needed to those minutes? No. Will someone please motion to accept those minutes? I'll move acceptance of the meeting minutes for November 7, 2025 and November 22, 2025. I'll second that.
Sorry, can we do a quick correction on that on the minutes? Yeah, chair. So it'll be for November 17th, 2025 and December 1st, 2025. 17th and first I have my date 12. Thank you for the correction. So do we need to re motion to accept those minutes or we use I think we're good. Okay. Well, staff, please call the role. Kind. Yes. Uh, Vice Chair Lee, yes. Commissioner Du, yes.
Commissioner Bates, yes. Commissioner Salute, yes. And Commissioner Sangry, yes. Thank you. 6.
Okay, now we're on to number four, which is the findings for LU25-000025. It was a request for approval of the development review permit to construct an additional 8 unit multifamily building on an existing site and removal of five trees for public improvements. The site is located at 45501 and 4519 Lake View Boulevard, 460 through 4602 and 4614 Lower Drive. The staff coordinator was Aaron Franstead, senior planner. Uh, do any commissioners have any comments on these findings? Will someone please motion to accept the findings for LU 25-025?
I make a motion that we accept the findings um as stipulated and corrected at our last meeting for LU25-000025. I second that motion. Thank you. And staff, please call the role. Chair Lindstöm, yes. Vice Chair Leak, yes. Commissioner Duke, yes. Commissioner Bates, yes. Commissioner Soluke, yes. Commissioner Sangry, yes.
6. Thank you. Moving right along here. Um, agenda number item number five was for a public hearing LU25-000019, but this hearing has been postponed to January 5th, 2026 at 700 p.m. Um, so now we will move on to item number seven or six, excuse me. So, I'll turn it over to Miss Hasty.
Thank you, commissioners. Um, I do have several updates for you. Um I've been trying to send emails so you're kind of kept aware of the upcoming schedule. Um but starting on um January 5th, yes, we will have two hearings that night. The first will be for the 11 lot subdivision that was postponed tonight. The second will be for a type 2 tree removal. Uh for the first hearing, you will likely receive an updated staff memo regarding uh the changes to the storm water plan. Um, and then for the second hearing for the type two tree removal, uh, the request for hearing on that, you'll receive the staff report 10 days prior. And I think that actually is going to be a little bit early because of the holidays. Um, in any case, we'll hear both of those hearings that night. Um, also on that night, and we can figure out where we want to put that on the agenda, uh, the elections for chair and vice chair are coming up. And I did try to give a bit of a um preview on that one. Uh Commissioner, Vice Chair Leak, because your term is up on Janu or sorry, June of next year. Unfortunately, you can't be reappointed um or reelected to the vice chair position. Um but certainly if you are reappointed, that can come up again if you'd like to be or if you um are reappointed. Um so just for everyone and we can talk to Commissioner Mino about that. Um, let's be aware that the vice chair position will need to be filled. Uh, Chair Lindstöm, because your term does not end in 2026, you can be renominated and reelected. Um, if you so choose. Any questions about that or comments? Anything we should take into consideration? Okay. Um, I am going to be out of the office for two weeks in January. I tend to take my Christmas holidays after everyone else. Um, so everyone with
family near and far can spend the time. Um, that does mean I will not be here for the January 22nd meeting and remember that's a Thursday meeting. Um, Jessica Neonalu, your former DRC staff leazison and now the community development director will be covering for me. Um, I believe that date it would just be, let me check my schedule here for the 22nd. Um, we do have a hearing that night as well. Um, it's just for an LGV remodel. It does have uh or include design variances. So, you will have the findings from the 5th and then another hearing on the 22nd. But I will have prepped uh community development director Num Manaloo. So, she will be ready to assist you if you have any questions. Um, another upcoming item on the 15th of January is the annual boards and commission summit. And for those of you who are new to the DRC, it's an annual event um where all of the boards and commissions get together. And uh the mayor is shaking it up a little bit this year. Um, and I did forward you an attachment. I don't know if anyone had a chance to look at that, but uh they are going with a kind of mock shark trials. I think that's what it is. Um, and it's reminiscent of that TV show basically where the commissioners, boards and commissioner members are going to be placed at different tables, sort of mixed up and work together to generate some ideas on a hopefully lowbudget, low uh staff involvement, high impact, lowhanging fruit, some sort of community event or um project that um could take place. And this is moving away from kind of the goals that the council should
hear about. The council counselors will be there that night. Um but they're looking for a chance for the boards and commissions to actually um come up with a a proactive idea that would have some sort of community benefit. Um because as you know um if you've been paying attention to the city council and politics, local politics, there are a lot of goals already on their agenda. um some of them which didn't get fully addressed this last year and so those are caring for the next year. So again for this boards and commissions summit they're just going to try something new to see if they can come can come up with a a good community benefit project. So that will be interesting. Unfortunately I won't be there that night. Um Jessica Neonal will also be covering for me then. So I'll look forward to an update from you.
Where will that take place? Same I I believe in the um ACC. Oh actually I'm sorry I take that back. Um, I can't remember the name of the room, but I think this year they're trying to go with a community room on the Lorac or uh golf course site. Um, darn it, I can't remember by the entrance with that big area out there by the entrance
possibly, but I think that there's an event room in the clubhouse um that might be taking place there. In any case, uh Madison uh Thesing from the city manager's office is going to send you out an email with an RSVP and more details. Um so, uh that should come out next week and we can solidify the the location and time and um a better understanding of this what this event will entail. Um and what was the date of that again? That is on 15th. Yes, January 15th. Okay.
And typically those start a little bit early. Um I think this one is starting at like 5:30 5:45. There'll be like a mingling and networking um discussion opportunity and then breakouts into the tables and the idea generating from there. Um the uh caveat to this new idea is that it is new um and it will be a learning experience for everyone. So, we'll see how it goes and uh report back to the mayor on on that that change in process. Um those are the updates that I have. So, three more upcoming hearings. We are scheduled out uh for meetings until February 2nd. I do have a number of other applications that are um out there, not yet complete. So, dates to be determined. Any questions for me? Anything else? Um, any of the commissioners want to talk about tonight? I
think just a a reminder that that meeting on the 22nd of Thursday, not a Monday, and it's in person. Apologies for this last minute change. I didn't figure anyone wanted to drive all the way into the city for what is now a 12minute meeting. So, we thank you. Yeah. Yeah. I'm glad it worked out. Thank Thank you to Cat for making that work out. Commissioner Mino's still sitting at city hall right now. Probably.
I'm just kidding. Um, okay. Well, thank you. So, I guess that moves us into item number seven, which would be adjourning this meeting. So, everybody have a great night and happy holidays and I'll be speaking with you soon. So, I adjourn the meeting. Thank you all. Happy holidays. Byebye. Happy holidays. Bye. Bye.
