In accordance with federal regulations and requirements at 24 CFR part 91, the city of Kingston, New York has prepared a direct fiscal year 2026 annual action plan, a one-year planning document that identifies the amount of community development block grant funds expected to be available and the proposed use of those funds for the upcoming program year. The annual action plan covers the period from July 1st, 2026 through June 30th, 2027. For fiscal year 2026 through official notification from HUD, the city of Kingston expects it will receive approximately $737,340 in CDBG funds. The proposed use of funds include activities such as public services, public infrastructure improvements, and program administration consistent with HUD requirements and the city's approved 5-year consolidated action plan. The draft fiscal year 2026 annual action plan is available for public review online on the office of community development page for the city of Kingston website. This public hearing is being held this evening, April 20th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in conference room 2, City Hall, 420 Broadway, Kingston, New York 12401. The draft fiscal year 2026 annual action plan will be available for a 30-day public comment period from April 20th, 2026 through May 20th, 2026. public hearing. The fiscal year 2026 annual actions plan will be submitted to HUD on May 21st, 2026 for review and approval. At this time, I will open the floor to anyone who wishes to speak regarding a written draft of the annual action plan. As part of our citizen participation plan and HUD requirements, anyone wishing to speak will need to state their name and address as this public hearing and the comments will be made available to HUD. This is the first call for anyone present who wishes to speak on the fiscal year 2026 annual action plan. This is the second call if anybody wishes to be heard.
