So, I call the meeting the selectman's meeting to order for Monday, October 20th at 6:00 pm. Um, we are without Boberson tonight. So, we'll catch up with that in the minutes and I guess we'll get started on the budget. Yep. Great. Arlene's here. You want to take a budget with the board here? There's something to the budget table there if you'd like. Are you here for the rack? Yeah. Okay.
Yes. So you all should have budgets in front of you. This is my admin which is Carlen's 4150. She shares that with some of my stuff too. So, we have some things that are intertwined down in this budget. Um, the change that was the 5% that I put in didn't put in a raise for yourself, but I did the 5% like I did everybody else. Um, and then to get down to the 3% that the board had requested and this is what we total the difference in the 40 and the difference of the salary. So there's a 40 or four difference between 5% and
yeah. Okay. Yeah. And where is that applied here? Part-time wages. No. The 4136 elected officials tax collector. It'll be right here. Great. So it's this line all the way across. And part time you left alone? Um, yep. Yeah.
I mean, assessing services is you have to actually the price will change just a little bit. It wasn't a big change in that. Yeah. Was that that change on part-time hours or hourly rate?
Um part time will be those change. Okay. Yeah, we can. No, for Linda 16 that's going to come down a little bit too which and then that'll change the taxes. Yes. And so that changes if you look down here, it'll change these taxes a little bit less money and then it changes your overall make everybody dizzy. Sorry, but it's at 49. Do you have the copy of my project?
I do. No. No. I can put it right after you if you want. I have any question about them? The assessing services and auditing services that all on your contract? Yep. Okay. So there's no
the automatic went out like 1700 there. I just I just got that word. That's why some of the things changed last day because I didn't have those figures from them yet. Everybody's running a little bit behind and they're getting to 19750 now for the year for the spending 18. We don't finish paying up that 18 until we get our final. Thank you. And it looks like assessing went down slightly though. The what? Assessing services went down slightly.
Yes. So, I had assessing services had a little bit more than um I think it was like 2,000 more in there because I had doubled I had put the um the tax maps on that line item. So, I took that out and we'll do February. I don't know if yours is. Do you want to look at the details of card meetings to see like all the hidden she has? Let me get the Sure. Yeah, let me get it. I'm going to go scan again. Um, Carlen, if you want to start going through some of this stuff while I'm getting getting the page for them to look at. Um, maybe just highlight your meetings and any changes from last year, like going across here, the increase to
the decrease to your meetings and trainings, you kind of went down in that amount a little bit. If you want to just let them know why that was able to go down last year. your meetings and trainings went down from last year. It doesn't it's not as high your number is 877 instead of 1275. Let me get you post office. It's just sort of hard that I have to send out my tax from 8200 for the July and one for the December.
Which line item is the or the stamp send or the postage? Mine is the same as I have done the conference workshop and then so you will be able to go with 80. So that's $60 each. That's the 120. Is that what you refer to?
Yeah, that line item is just a little bit lower than last year's. Um, just for budget, the avatar software support, it's always a guess because they tell us it's four to 5%, but we don't get the bill until December. So, it's hard to put a hard number in there until then. Um she has to have two billings July and December and and uh bills that go out. Uh postage for those bills. Um stamps for certified mailings and and other miscellaneous things for for searches. It's approximately 300, but if you have more lanes, it could go up or down. Um that's a variable number as well as a certified, right? Yeah. Um the tax collectors convention can be up to 500. The spring workshops are usually $60. I don't think they're going to go up on that, are they? No. No. Um and then the mileage for convention and her bank deposits that she gave us now. Um, is there annual dues and miscellaneous uh cartridges? She pays for her um printer cartridge that she has under her own out of her budget. Um, as well as like stamps or uh like the the cancellation of stamps and stuff that comes out of her budget. Um, she had put the 19 and 620 in there, but it's actually 20,815 if you do the 3%. She wasn't putting in
a raise. She actually gave herself a motion. She made 20,000 from 209 last year, but she only put in 19. So I owe that to her 3% more than last years and then the site back for the salary for deputy um tax collector that will be paid out one or two times a year depending on the So that's where is the the uh 1500 line item putting in uh this segment. Oh, that's with that's going in here with part-time majors. So, part of that only 16 162 with Linda and the rest is
so they share that item between those two departments. And this is this is actually getting built to us. We already have the maps. It just didn't build us yet. I think um the IT support that's coming out um we have that that is coming out. It is coming out. Okay.
Yeah, we had um that will be just got for and is that something that there's a a standard rate for the year or is it a tax as you would use it? You get you get charged for it, right? Um is actual rate if you're um I can get to actual rate of
no just more so thinking you know there's a chance that we could end up way under some of these or we could end up over if someone were like to an issue some place. For sure. For sure. Um, we try to we try we try to expect things and then if if something catastrophic goes wrong, you know, we talk amongst our departments obviously. So if somebody has something that goes wrong in their department and they they don't have the funds for it, that
