As with me, gracious Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for each and every day you give us. Thank you for your many blessings, your hand in protection, your provision. Thank you for the opportunity to gather here tonight for this meeting. We pray your blessing on each and every person here, whether they're elected or whether they're a citizen. We pray that you give us wisdom and understanding of the issues at hand, the decisions that need to be made to do our best to bring peace and prosperity to our community. And Father, we are mindful of those who are facing loss. Right now, we think of Mrs. Sinema's school community and the loss of Mr. Bayou. Lord, we pray your hand upon his family that you would comfort them and give them what they need through this time of grief and our community as well as we grieve his loss. We have a special guest tonight, our insurance man, Mr. Greg Lane.

He has a few words to talk to us about. Hello, I'm Greg Lane, insurance management group.

We handle all the property and cash insurance. In the past couple of years, we've seen increases. I would say this year we saw a level break is a 0% rate increase. We have about a 5% exposure increase. I did a quick overview of coverages. Currently, we ensure your package policy, the selected insurance, your low-competitiveness, your cyber liability employees, and your health for your volunteer fire and police reserve is prominent in the public first-come, first-served. The health and police volunteers You can stay the same Overall cost, the rule is $110,175.88. I will have you go through, right down the back end of this meeting, or to take a look at some of the vehicles to make sure that it seems like your year will be clear off a couple, maybe shape some of these. On the location schedule, the 6th and Fairmount Avenue, is that actually the cabin? It's listed as museum. It is. They call that a museum, but yes, it is a cabin. That's the overview. 110,000 is the $110,175.88. Vehicles didn't change. We will get all the decrypt to you. This is a July 1st renewal. This is the first year we've done this prior to July 1st. So it has been slow paying stuff. We did it early this year. I will tell you, as far as claims history... We mentioned I did talk to them. There was a lawsuit. I believe so. And it did not affect your removal.

It's just a renewal that we do every year.

I should tell you, too, we do a lot of marketing as well. Thank you. With regards to the market, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Selective are the three main carriers in the public municipality market. The problem is, the challenge is, Liberty Mutual and Travelers have a minimum premium of $100,000. So you're right at the minimum, and that has been a challenge. Selective is still the main player, And they rank the majority of the smaller communities here instead of neon.

And P&C has been going up like crazy. So 6% increase seems reasonable to me.

There's a big list of possible things that could be looked at and audited, and I can't do all of them, but I'm going to start ramping up, looking through some receipt books and confirming utility reports and things like that. Two tires for OC men. They were a base from when my son was in high school and came in and we had a field goal in our side. And I've not been able to get rid of these things.

I think the gas city, the recycling center in the gas city will take tires for a fee. So say someone was considering volunteering. Would they reach out to someone? Would they just show up at 7.30? What would they do?

What would they do to show up? Most of the work is done by the patrons as they dealt with themselves. But we'll get some people down there who will help them out a little bit. No trash. tell people it's got to be bagged, it can't be just loose trash. Of course, I say that, the first person will probably be like that, but fire department will be there. As we go, we've got to set up the rotation where they go in and they go out, and it's worked out real well. We are going to leave one dumpster here for the rest of the year. Of course, there's times that people end up paying the taxes down. They pay for it, and then you drop something. We'll talk about that. Okay. I did not get a commitment to this.

I'm calling in. They didn't confirm the other four. So we have four of them. So bring your stuff. You're not going to fall. Updating on the park toilets. We haven't cleaned out, but we're going to do it this week. So the new signs I had made, it's going to say it opens at 6 a.m., closes at 10. We're going to have three of them up, two as you go into the main parking lot and one over there where that drive-thru where you can go through to go to the cabin. We're going to put one there.

Also, we're going to put up, I think I got two or three of them, no motorized vehicles in the park. Because we have problems with that because there's no signs. They were saying they couldn't stop people. So it's on the, there is a sign down that has certain rules, which is really small print. So we're going to put three of these up, plus no motorized vehicles.

Does that include golf carts?

Is there a session during fall games?

That's something you guys are going to have to decide. She said, is there an exception for ball games?

Exception of what? Letting golf carts park along the back fence, like the outfield.

I think this is more going to be for the playground area than over there. What we're doing, I can bring you up to Hambers and stuff where they're taking the motorized bikes, not the electric ones, doing donuts in the gravel in the playground area. running across the field while kids are playing. It's more for that playground area than at the ball diamonds. And there won't be none over at the ball diamonds like this. It'll all be at the park area.

No, I don't think we should restrict the golf course around the ball. No. And I don't think we're going to be driving in the... That's one of my pleasures, right?

We doesn't put any of the motorized vehicle ones over there either, just at the playground. Okay.

The other thing I've got is the parcel of land over here I didn't equal. I went over and got the finalized dates that are going to hold their meetings, and we should know probably by July 22nd the answer of that. I've had these three meetings. I thought they were going to happen, but I can't go down today. I'm not following. in a couple, a few days, we'll be identifying all of the memberships. If they don't have any objections, they're going to go to I-21st Ward. Give us an update on that. You know anybody that's a member over there? We need that partial anchor. We've got one part of the anchor, we need the other side of the anchor right there. That's all I have so far, John. I've got a question.

I know we were sued. We lost the lawsuit. We had to pay up. I see we're the owners wanting to sue us now. Are we going to go after our portion that we have paid?

Now he complained because we cleaned up down here because we lost the portion we had. I feel like as a council member, since we had paid, now he's coming to complain because we claimed to ease it up. We should go back after him and say, you paid our portion, we paid in a lawsuit.

up on it, and I think we're out of luck on that because that kind of claim should have been made in that lawsuit. So... Yeah, but now he's after us. We'll coin him up. We'll defend that.

Just a few things. Brooks Construction didn't finish the painting, but the Brooks are good looking boy and worth it. Tomorrow, Quentin and I are going to take a drive and just look at, make sure that everything looks good. From what I can see, there's just maybe a few manholes that we need to address. From what I walked, it was great. When we walked the dogs, yeah. Good, good. That's good to hear. So, yeah, they come in. We got that job. I'm impressed.

No, no, no. Do look at that one on 4th Avenue where that truck was. And that's why I said that's on me because I noticed it and I can say it in the future. We've got to make sure those cars are parked.

So going back to the other company, the 2025 Water Street project, they're going to pay tomorrow, they bill today. The sidewalks are in. There are a few areas that we still need to address. Some areas have a hoard that we not really, it's not up to our liking or our specifications. Then there's another area where we're going to add sidewalk, which is And that's gonna come in a later date, but nonetheless, it's coming. So yeah, paving tomorrow, then we'll finish final grading and seating by the end of the week. So by the end of the week, they should be with the majority of the project be done.

I forgot to ask in the last meeting, what about the retention wall at 212 South Bar?

Yeah, so that's when we're coming back and fixing that. In fact, that was kind of carried on Um, going back to the water plant project, um, Thursday, I know I didn't, it's going to be here on Thursday, but the contractor's coming back. Um, I know we put the plaque in and finished up the two or three remaining things on that side of that strut out. We just had to... Good news is we've held their money, so they are coming back for that, at least. That's an incentive. Yeah, it's an incentive for them. So that's finished up. Then there was some damage to the water tower. on the fence, from the painters, from the mayor, two back. We just hired a local contractor to make those repairs to the fence. And that's all covered by the contractor himself. Looks like that contractor can get it right on us, so we have that too.

What's the water plant, Brad? I know they tore down the old one and tore it apart. Are we holding back money for what they owe us?

I do have a, just, if we have a timeline, the ground where JC Knight was looks great, and I see the hay is down, they planted, that all looks great.

I don't know if there's a timeline, and there's still the pieces of fence, and there's the equipment there, and there's still like a bunch of stuff that's in the contractor. Yeah. I mean, the project...

He was supposed to come up to me to meet with me and Quentin, but they have kids, and we want them off our property. Yeah, I kind of do, too.

I actually saw him in town last Thursday or Friday, but he just drove through.

I don't know.

It's not that I'm incredibly impatient if there's a good reason, but I also don't really want it to just stay there because it's been closed theoretically for a long time.

We talked about us or Kings or somebody just putting like the blocks to define where the parking stuff just will look nicer and be safer. How much would something like that cost, you know? I mean, I don't have any idea.

I think I have at least one or two of the bumper blocks from where we done the community building. And I can usually get them out there at 18. I think they're still making them there at 18 and 600 East. I don't think it's real expensive. Earl may even have some I know Earl was taken a lot of stuff from them out there because it did change names So he may even have something I'll try to get a hold of him tomorrow and see if he has any bumper blocks I don't even know where you're talking about. Someone's going to show me where you mean to go.

and he's never got back with me he keeps saying he wants some grindings for that back part he never has come and got any or asked for any so we'll hold hostage on that we may have some for him if he loses that foot if he loses that foot we might be able to find him some time alright anything else for our own business thank you for all your comments I appreciate it uh I don't have anything, other than I want to remind you, please show up for these movies in the park. The only thing I have is that I passed out. This was kind of sent to all Crooked Treasures from another city, and I thought it was a great idea. So we'll just kind of use this template. And I did mark the pending litigation, so we can discuss that issue at the meeting on Wednesday.

I also noticed we've been wondering or been kind of cagey about purchase or lease of real property as we throw numbers around or, hey, we want to authorize this or, you know, maybe in the future, since I know that's an option, we might want to consider that discussion for some of those.

And I have actually four more pages that will go with this that kind of detail a little bit more than the IC codes if you guys want those. I didn't make copies tonight. No, that's good. If you want them, I will get them for you.
