Nominating and Rules Committee - Regular Meeting

I'm gonna go ahead and call the nominating and rules committee meeting to order. First item of business, please mark your attendance. Next item of business is election of a chair. I do have one item that I wanna, I'm gonna bring this up at the full council as well but I'm gonna go ahead and bring up to this committee just because we are in charge of establishing the smaller committees. In the interest of clear oversight, strong community engagement and more efficient coordination across our city's quality of life services, I respectfully request that the committee take action to reestablish the Public Services Committee as a standing committee of the City Council and enhance the involvement of the Parks and Recreation Community Advisory Board so that both bodies actively serve as a structured resource to the Parks and Recreations Department.

I wanted to ask a question because while I do think that parks and recs is important when you talk about it, but you're saying starting back the actual Public Services Committee. Now, that put parks and recs and then J. T. All of them in the same back where they were?

That's correct, yes.

Q. Makes sense. It was disbanded because they didn't have a lot of meetings going on at the time and they just thought, well, it's kind of a have people show up and we don't any business, but apparently it is gaining importance and there's more So it's probably worthy of having committee and act again. And if there's no business, like the rest of us, you just call the meeting for lack of an agenda item.

Will you want them monthly or every three months?

I think we can do those quarterly at this point and then as needed. I like that idea.

I will ask for those volunteers tonight along with the other committees that we're going to be appointing.

Then I guess the next question would be if the full council agrees, when would that
