Um, Pastor Jimmy Burries is uh seeking permission to um hold their 15th annual community block party on June 6th, 26 at 400 West State Street. Uh he would like permission to block the street off from South Bayet by the high school apartments from West State to Jordan Street. It's free event for anyone in the community to come out and um I think I sent this to everyone so you'd have a chance to look at it if there are any questions.

Thank you. Okay, thank you. Um, awesome. Okay. Uh, mayor's report, we were having discussion up here. We got it right. I mean, we didn't know exactly because it's been a while since we've done two, but the question was asked. We had a motion in a second, but we never voted. And we don't looking in the past we felt that's all the requirement. It's more my call and I'm getting permission from the council with a couple motions. But if we have to formally vote, we'll come back. But I think even if this is not on the agenda, I'd like just to still call a vote, a voice vote, just to show that this is the time. If you don't want one of these gentlemen, this is the time. However, I would like to vote on this one. So, I vote yes. If so, is it okay if I appoint Alderman W one alderman Rob Thomas and W five alderman Mark Sorrow? All those in favor of Mark and Rob being alderman of Jacksonville, please respond by saying I.

I opposed. Okay, so that'll buy us some time maybe, right? U remember Jeff and I are we're new at this uh as far as working together. I have had Dan for plenty of years. We're getting to know each other and quite frankly sometimes I'm intimidated by Jeff because I better do it right in front of this guy because Dan Dan I knew I knew I could beat up Dan, but I don't know about Jeff. So, okay.

Yeah. Anyway, thank you very much. Item number two under the mayor's report is the reappoint of Kevin Heights to the policeman's pension fund board trustees term to expire May 9th 2028. First is resolution approving tax increment financing redevelopment plan and project grant agreement between the city of Jacksonville, Illinois and IFO Alii number four Oddfellow's building 312 East State. The second is a resolution authorizing the waiver of advertisements for bids and accepting proposal from Bobcat of Springfield for the purchase of a Bobcat skid steer for the Jacksonville Maintenance Department. After that, it sets the motion on when we can start the uh demo and to mobilize. I know the big cranes there obviously, but or is it still there? Because there was talk they may move that. However, uh I think if it fits their schedule, it'll be pretty quick once it starts. old business.

Um, but at 5:30 is the very quick ceremony of the uh time capsule burial. We're going to work on it every We're we've got everything in motion uh to fill it. Next week it'll be on site to put the things that we have collected as a group and community to put in it uh with the help of the uh the museum folks um you know alderman you know if there's letters you want it's it still can for the public. If Lily wants to write a letter to herself in 50 years do it. And I think those are the neat things. Um there might be some surprises too in there. So I won't be around to see it, so I'm going to really throw something in there. But um that will start at 5:30 and it'll be a quick ceremony. Um there'll be some cookies. And then after that ceremony, we'll just come back here and start up a meeting at six. So it's kind of to build an audience. I mean, a lot of people is you don't really it's not your you're burying something and you we just wanted a quick hitter. It was last year the bsentennial. However, we felt it was appropriate to kind of get the interest going on the 250 years of our nation's birthday, too. And why not with our burial and then really kick off some things that we have planned for the 250
