Okay, perfect. Good afternoon, Englewood City Council and Mayor Butts. My name is Sheila D. Richardson, Commissioner Sheila Richardson from the city of Carson under the tutelage of Mayor Lula Davis Holmes. I am also... president and founder of Exclusive Systems, and the wonderful package that you see there. The handouts reference constituents' concerns, what I do, and how it relates to the community, and how our district leaders do what they do as far as meeting the needs of each and every one of our constituents. And I think that it's imperative that we continue to do what we're doing. I think the city of Englewood, wonderful with what you've got, the SoFi. I just wanted to stop by on your meeting today and introduce myself and my documents. Please feel free to contact my office if you have any questions and are concerned.

Rick Ford, longtime resident of Englewood. People here should know that the family members of Brian Bostic have been excluded from attending this meeting for 120 days, not only illegally, but totally immorally. This family has been deprived of a loved one. They've been here asking for justice. They got a statement from the medical examiner's office which is filled, riddled with inaccuracies and contradictions. They got something else that today, and I'm going to call it what it is, fascist tactics. Fascist tactics to try to keep the family down, try to keep the family out, to try to keep the family at bay. This struggle will not stop. Justice for Brian Bostic. Thank you, sir.

I saw them. They represented you well.

Thank you very much. Great. And also I want to congratulate the USA team. I know they won this past Friday and very happy to know that the city was able to manage the overflow of folks in this city this past weekend. So kudos to Traffic Manager and everybody involved in that, everyone in the city. I want to congratulate, congratulations to the City of Hope Community Development. They received a grant from LA Care Health Plan to build a community, create a community garden. And I think it's very important that people know about healthy living and learn how to plant those vegetables and things that do provide healthy living. So congratulations to the Center of Hope Community Development Agency. Also, I want to thank Tony Olmos, who is here in the audience, and his team, because his team has started working in District 1, and I have to say that I received a lot of kudos to City, your team, for slurring in the streets. So thank you very much for improving our streets. It's very much noticed in District 1, and our residents are very, very appreciative. Also, this month, I believe the beginning of this month, we've missed a few meetings, but I want to say happy birthday, a special birthday to District 1 volunteer Crystal Alexander. She had a special birthday, and she's a great volunteer and always shows up to support the city. And it's always nice to acknowledge our volunteers that are residents who do play a key role in the city. You know, every week I talk about civic engagement, and I always encourage civic engagement, but I also believe in civility when the public presents their comments because you want your voices to be heard. So just remember that. You have a right to be here to make comments. But remember, civility is important in terms of when you present those comments because you want your voices to be heard. Also, last week we approved an item for body cams, and I've said before that it should be policies related to the use of those cameras, and I do believe that community input is important when you create those policies. So with that, thank you very much, Mr. Mayor.

So as I was mentioning, so it was a great event. A lot of good folks from all over here to watch the game. And as we know, you know, it's still at, so if I see AD, that being said, I want to thank our public safety folks. You know, we had fire department out there, paramedics, police from all levels, local, state, and federal levels to be there to ensure that we had a safe environment enjoyable event. So I want to thank all our EOC folks, Brian Walker, all his folks, Chief Ron Arata, all his staff, the outside agencies that came in to ensure that we were safe and they will have a presence at all our games. So, you know, that's just to make sure that we all get to enjoy the World Cup experience. Also this weekend, I had the opportunity to attend Inglewood Little League's closing ceremony. All the families, the kids were out there. I was out there with the president and Patty and her board. The TOC, Tournament of Champions, were there. The Orioles from Inglewood Little League. So it's just a fun-filled event. day with our families, our kids, the parents, a bunch of which were at the Wood Cup. So it was good to see them at both events. We have a concert coming up at our world-famous Miracle Theater in Inglewood, coming up on June 26th at 8 p.m. It's a Momo Rodriguez, actually it's a comedy night, which is, I think, even just as fun. It's gonna be a comedy night with Momo Rodriguez and his group at the Miracle Theater, June 26th, doors open at eight. Event starts at 9 p.m. Stella and I will be there and we look forward to seeing anybody there that can make it. Guarantee you're going to have a great time. And before you go there, go enjoy some of the restaurants that are in the area. Also, I just wanted to say that. Use the shuttle service when you're going to L.A. Stadium if you can. It's a lot smoother than trying to drive your own car there. That's just what I do, and it seems to work out. And on a final note, to all the fathers, to all those that are in that father figure, enjoy your Father's Day, not only this Sunday, but every day. Que todos tengan un feliz dia de los padres. Councilman Morales. Thank you. So some of the same stuff. First, congratulations to the Little League for closing out yet another successful season. I know they'll be temporary at a different location, but that's not going to stop them. So congratulations for that. I do want to mention there was an unveiling of a mural over on Century for an upcoming coffee shop, which was really cool. It's owned by a young lady who grew up in the neighborhood. And, you know, she's trying to start a small business. And, you know, we wish her well. I know she's going to open up later on this month or the beginning of next month. So congratulations for Gio's Coffee. And then I do want to congratulate our staff for the Wood Cup. I mean, it's amazing the way we continue to pull off these type of events. So the way that we use Market Street, everybody from the police officers to our code enforcement, to our staff that puts it together. I mean, amazing. But what was really cool was just watching everybody take advantage of the watch party and kind of unify and enjoy the game together. So that was really cool. And then, of course, a special shout out to Thomas, who was there on his birthday party. Thank you very much, which kind of highlights the commitment of our staff and how they're committed to just making us very successful here in Englewood. So it was one of those things that helps us brand ourselves. It helps us be the city that we want everybody to see. I think we got a lot of nice kind of shout outs on different news channels. And really, that's who we are. So congratulations to all of us. Thank you very much, Mayor.

Thank you, sir. Not only was Thomas there on his birthday, he brought his whole family. Exactly. So they celebrated his birthday there. We appreciate that, Thomas. The country, I don't know, I guess it's the country. Me, to make a presentation, I said, well, you know, we're Englewood. He says, but you're the international city. So I thought that was nice of them to invite us. As far as the Wood Cup, we use an analytic tool There were 4,700 close to 5,000 people on Market Street between 6 in the morning and Midnight on that Friday. That's 44% more people than walked through came through Market Street the Friday before and 40% more people than the average that would come on Market Street, so it was a big success Cosmo Tia stayed and watched the match and With the crowd, I saw him on Instagram. And this was really an event that really branded us as an international city. And so I want to say my best congratulations to our city staff, to our contractors, everyone that had a role in this production. And with that, we're adjourned.
