Second Option to Extend the Linen and Laundry Service Umbrella Agreement with Mission Linen Supply in the Amount of $80,205
Recommendation: That the Board of Supervisors: 1. Authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute a second amendment with Mission Linen Supply to extend countywide linen and laundry services for one year and increase the maximum amount payable by $80,206 after review and approval of insurance documents by Risk Management. Recommendation: That the Board of Supervisors: 1. Approve and authorize the County of Humboldt to continue participating in the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) Jail Health feasibility study at a cost not to exceed $155,823.42; and 2. Approve a transfer from General Fund Contingencies in the amount of $155,823 in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 to budget unit 1100-490, Medical Care, to be carried over to future fiscal years if not expended in the current year and not to exceed actual costs (4/5 Vote Required); and 3. Direct the County Administrative Officer, or designee, to execute all necessary documents to facilitate participation in the study. Extension of Extra-Help Hours for 2 Employees of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) (4/5 Vote Required)
Recommendation: That the Board of Supervisors: 1. Approve an extension of the 960 extra-help hour limitation for Stephen Falkenstrom, Extra Help Deputy II, (Budget Unit 1100-221600) of an additional 735 hours, for a maximum of 1,695 hours for fiscal year (FY) 2025-26, pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution (4/5 Vote Required); and 2. Approve an extension of the 960 extra-help hour limitation for Alice Rosendahl, Extra-Help Administrative Secretary (Budget Unit 1100-221100) of an additional 477 hours, for a maximum of 1,437 hours for FY 2025-26, pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution (4/5 Vote Required). Governing Body Resolution for Grant Fiscal Year (FY) 2025, 2026 and 2027 between Humboldt County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the United States Department of Justice Domestic Cannabis Eradication/Suppression Program (DCE/SP)
Recommendation: That the Board of Supervisors: 1. Authorize the Chair to sign Resolution, the Governing Body Resolution (Attachment 1) for the DEA of the Department of Justice DCE/SP and direct the Clerk of the Board to certify; and 2. Authorize the Sheriff, Undersheriff and the Deputy Director of Financial and Support Services to execute all the necessary applications, strategic plans, letters of agreements, contracts, amendments and reimbursement claims, in the name of the County of Humboldt, required by the United States Department of Justice DEA DCE/SP program with approval from the County Administrative Office and County Counsel; and 3. Resolution Re-authorizing the County Planning & Building Department Division of Housing and Grants to Apply for Pro-Housing Designation and Grant with the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD)
Recommendation: That the Board of Supervisors: 1. Re-adopt attached Resolution (Resolution 24-140) (Attachment 1) to: a. Approve the Planning & Building Department Division of Grants and Housing to finish applying for the Pro-Housing Incentive Program (PIP) with the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for supporting a privileged designation and assistance in continuation of the division's housing subsidy programs and a marketing/demographic strategy for public education and outreach efforts. b. Authorize and direct the Planning and Building Department Director to execute, in the name of the County of Humboldt, the application, the standard agreement, and all other documents required by HCD for participation in the PIP Program, and any amendments.
