Hello, I'm Jim Coker. I've been living in Homewood for a long time. I've served all the residents of Homewood and Jefferson County. But I'm in favor of Ed Smith. Ed Smith, Ed Jones. I would like to share a little about the program we conducted in your beautiful city of Jefferson County, EMA. The program we run is known as CERT. This is a community emergency response team. We like to call this as a force multiplier for fire departments and police departments. In short, this is a group of volunteers who can call us at times of need. We teach this throughout the county, but we do this for the first time in Homewood. It was a snake stone. Another thing is that, in the US, it is our knowledge that tekkukizhakan teach this class in Spanish through certain languages. So this was a big deal. From Jefferson County and some surrounding counties, we were able to train about 28 Spanish speakers. Seeing the happiness in that community, seeing people wearing uniforms and asking questions, was a joy. I think this is not only for Homewood City, but also for us as an agency. Without the cheap approach and the Homewood Fire Department, this wouldn't have been possible. I have a letter in my hand. It's not that long. We would like to thank some of you. For the Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Chief Broadhead, Homewood Fire Department, and others for the first local Spanish-language community emergency response team. Your contribution to this program has contributed greatly to the success of this program. We would like to express our special thanks to Training Captain Matthew Murphy, Battalion Chief Avery Guvera Orsini, Firefighter Antony Peralta, Firefighter Chase Lani, Firefighter Paramedic Brad Harvey, Station 3, and the entire team for their time and professionalism. Public safety, community readiness, and their commitment to service, each of which has a meaningful and eternal meaning. As the first Spanish-speaking CERT in the United States, CERC is a major player in this class. With your participation in the Homewood Fire Department, it helps to increase the readiness to enter the facility, strengthen the relationship with the Spanish-speaking communities, and establish a bond of mutual respect. Her service as a Homeward Exceptional Foundation was not just a temporary commitment, it was a heartfelt commitment. The support, encouragement, and unwavering faith in the foundation and the Homeward community, which was in the hands of others, was required by Maya. Her service continued through the lives she lived and the families she grew up in, with the help and support of the community. In the life of Trisha Kirk, the Homeward City is unparalleled. She reminds us that one can bring great changes through kindness and dedication. Last week, I was able to participate in a two-day conference called Design Alabama. There, they selected five cities across the country and discussed them in depth with a great design panel. I knew many of them. Andrew Brain was there. Andrew has worked in my and Winslow's houses for a long time. Then Cheryl Morgan was a wonderful Cheryl Morgan facilitator. My good friend Ben Weisman was with me in leadership Birmingham. They are very good people. Other communities were very different from us. 100% difference, 180 degree difference. There was a girl from Alabama under Huntsville. Huntsville is growing in that area. A small town called Cuseta in Walikpur. Their son used to live in an open house near my son's house. It's amazing.
