This won't take long, buddy. I don't see a good guy. You're okay. Find a seat.

0:17 – 0:520

We need a sign sheet. I have no idea. Just the name. Yeah. Your name and your address.

0:49 – 1:310

Address. Name and address. Are you a Wildcat fan? We're trying to get him to be one. Hey, right here. Right here. Right here. Hook him. Hook him horns. Are you really a long arms fan or

1:28 – 1:390

No, I did I did this because when I'm down in Texas, they're all Texas A&M. So, I always wear this just to get them all hooked up.

1:42 – 2:010

My daughter bought it for me. It was random, man. One guy says, "Hey, you got no realize where you're at." Yeah. Says, "And you got that Alabama shirt on down here."

2:04 – 2:230

It's like going and knocking on the door when you have a dig shirt on. Yeah, that's funny. It's kind of funny at first. Wait a minute. danger. Stick around here too long, right? No beads for you.

2:35 – 2:550

So, how long you guys lived up here? Nine years. Yeah. We're going to call the meeting to order. This is a special meeting with Grace Smith for um land a building a building. So Taylor have it.

2:52 – 3:410

I think you know this is kind of just an opportunity for everybody to ask questions and you know get any answers that anybody would like to get. Um you know I don't want you to feel like the last meeting that we were you know trying to pull anything over on you with that um ordinance that was adopted. Um, I think the issue is just that we want to make sure that, you know, the town is able to access the main that you guys have are able to ask any questions at the town that you'd like to ask. Um, we've got kind of a proposed agreement for you um for you to look at to see if you're agreeable to signing that. Um, but yeah, I think just starting with any questions that you have of the town or any questions that the town council members have of you guys. That's kind of what the purpose of the meeting is today.

3:38 – 4:110

Yeah, perfect. We're we're just here for like clarity and transparency. What do we need to do to kind of proceed with with this? Yeah. And I think that um you know, from the town's perspective, it's really just that they want to be able to access their main if they need to service it or or maintain it or repair it in any way if there's an emergency, anything like that. Um, I mean, Scott, jump in if anything that you're saying is not accurate.

4:09 – 4:530

That that's honestly that's the main reason. And I mean, if something were to happen with that, it's it it will cause an issue with for sure. And you know, that's something that just to expose it, I mean, you got to dig a sizable trench, not like sideways, just along with it. So, I mean that that's just you guys need to know that if something like that were to happen, it would cause quite a bit of damage to your building if not completely just totally. Yeah. What is what's your on your proposal? What's

4:49 – 6:340

So, um and I don't even think I've given a copy of it to everybody, but it's it's really just an acknowledgement that you guys understand. Um should have enough that you guys understand that there is a main that's going to be underneath the building that you're proposing to erect. Um, you know, and kind of just laying out the terms of the town's ability to continue to access the main if they need it, if something happens, where the liability lies. Um, you know, I don't think that the town would be agreeable to, you know, assuming the risk to your building if something happens to the main because typically buildings aren't placed over mains, you know, so it's not something that the town normally has to worry about. Um, so I think that's kind of the purpose of the agreement is just to, you know, for you to acknowledge that you understand that there's a water man underneath the building that you're wanting to build. um acknowledging that the town would have the right to access the main if they would ever need to for um inspection or for maintenance or for repair. Um you know, you also assuming the risk to that building if there was a water mane break or if there was um you know, excavation that was required. Um you know, and then I I would also recommend that we record the agreement just so that future homeowners would be on notice that there is a water mane underneath the building that's on your property. Um, and just that the term of the agreement would be as long as there's a water name that exists on the property. Um, so that's kind of, you know, the terms of the agreement. Um, and I think that, you know, it's it's as basic as it could be. I tried to make it, you know, not have a bunch of

6:31 – 7:140

Yeah, we're not uh Yeah, lawyers. I know. I said, tell me how it is. I'm not a lawyer already. Yeah. I But that's that's the gist of it. is just that, you know, the town wants to be able to access its main so that it can continue to service your property um as best as it can. Um but just also you guys acknowledging that that you know that there's a may underneath and that if anything would happen that you would be responsible for the damage that would result from the main breaking any damage to your building or any you know surrounding uh the the ground or anything like that. Okay. So, do you mind if we take time to Yeah. Yeah. through it and I don't want you to break it down a little more.

7:13 – 7:570

Yeah, because you guys are the ones that are going to put the risk of putting the building on. So, you know, that's up to you. Okay. And yeah, you need to look at all question probably more for Scott. like if we are if we move it over um what like how far would you well I mean it would be best if it was you know 8 foot to 10 foot away just because when you dig something you know you have to have a place to put your spoil right um but the way it is now the poles on the west side of the building are pretty much right on top of that main. Mhm.

7:54 – 8:320

So if you could at minimum if you were to move it move it maybe to the east. So that would be toward your neighbor Craig Norris. So at least that line of poles is not right on top of Yeah, I get you. You know that that I mean that minimum that would be helpful to everybody. Okay. Um and um then if we did that, would we still be subject to the setbacks? Like as far as we understood, we had to be 8 feet off of that that side, but there's not technically a an easement.

8:31 – 9:160

Like we talked before, you just have to get with Norris and have him sign a an agreement that you can move it over that towards towards his property. Um and then come to the town and say, "Hey, we got this letter." and then we'll look at it and in possibility of granting you that waiver allowing you to do that. We've done that in the past. It just you just have to have agreement that with your your neighbor saying, "Hey, is it okay if I move a little closer to your building or your property line?" They say yes or no. And then when if that house if Craig Norris were to sell his house, that would already be be in the waiver. He signed it legally. Yes. And if you bring that waiver here, we look it over and he has signed it. Then that goes with the property. Okay.

9:16 – 10:010

Yeah. So you don't have to worry. We've had people do that before. Have a car port a little closer still on their property, but maybe not the 25 ft from the back, you know, because that's a lot in a regular small lot in Holland. 25 ft lot. Yeah. You know, and most of this stuff is grandfathered in. The person that lives right behind me is about this far off the line, but that's the way it was built, right? You know, and we don't have any problems with that. Yeah. Yeah. Make sure your neighbor your neighbor agrees with that, gives you a letter, you bring it to us, we'll look at it. Recorded. You guys explain where you're going to put the building at. 99% of the time it's a not a problem. So, yeah, most people

9:59 – 10:430

unless we have another water m somewhere that we don't know. Hope not. Well, and then that's recorded just the same way that an agreement like this would be recorded so that other future homeowners are on notice. That's sort of and it travels with your home and he'll get a copy to so they when he sells it that it's on there. They know it that it's not an infraction. It's on the ground where it's supposed to be. Yeah. Yeah. It stays with the house. Perfect. So, yeah. Look over it. Yeah. We just wanted to Yeah. get a little clarity. And then um like we plan to get back with you guys probably Monday. Can we who do we contact if you want can we contact her directly so we don't stop

10:41 – 11:190

bothering Katrina? Yeah. No you can just call her and she's and if there's some small change that you want to make run through Taylor. Okay. And she can contact us that way then we can get the agreement going so get the building going. Yeah. Okay. Perfect. Awesome. All right. All right. Well, thank you guys for Thank you. Thank you. Appreciate it. Now it's vacation time, right? Wedding time. Well, not really vacation. Well, wedding. Yeah. So, did we really clear this up? So, if they agree with all this and they sign it, they don't they can move forward then, right? I think we would, you know,

11:17 – 12:020

rather subject to amendments that could be made in the future. But yeah, we just don't know until you guys look it over. probably take action at the next council meeting. And it could be that we could have another special meeting if you have to. That's what I was getting ready to say if if you decide to move the building, you get the waiver from your the letter from your and you want to talk to us about, you know, moving it over. You're going to move it over and get the eit or setback directions on that special or just wait till the next meeting. Whatever you want to do. If you decide you want to go ahead and sign or you want to make some changes around Taylor, then you can just let us know. We can meet

12:01 – 12:400

over it as long as But if they're in agreement with doing what we've asked moving it Yeah. and all that, then we're okay with it by Monday. I tell you, we can probably vote today. Well, I think if you if you guys decide to move it, then we don't really need this agreement, right? Yeah. This is it is where it stands. Yeah, we don't see this. Yeah, but I think that the council would approve this if you as it is right now. Yeah, I'd approve it. And this would stay with your house, too. So, like I said, if you would happen to sell your house, they would absolutely know there's a line under there. Whoever bought it, right?

12:40 – 13:170

So, then whenever you decide what you want to do, just give Taylor a call and we can move forward because I mean, I'm fine with this agreement that you know it's there. Okay. And that somebody else knows that. Or if you want to move it and you decide to move it, just let us know and then we don't have to worry about anything. Sounds like a plan. Okay. Thank you. Yep. Thank you guys. All right. Thank you guys. They're ready to go. You have to go very far for the way Virginia
