Okay. I'm gonna I'm gonna put up the voting, and you can actually vote. It just takes a little bit of time. Thanks. Thanks, mister Lugo.

4:32 – 4:462

Okay. Voting has started. Would you like to press your vote, Jacqueline? Perfect. Thank you.

4:592

I want to say a special thanks to Mr. Lugo who is filling in as our chair since we have other members absent. So we're moving on to item number three.

5:09 – 5:250

Item number three is the Neighborhood Pride Enhancement Program. Would city staff member Arlene Camayo please come up, for the presentation?

5:27 – 5:524

Yes, may. Good evening chair and committee members. Tonight we will be looking at the quarterly nominations for the Neighborhood Pride Enhancement Program. As a refresher for the program, I will be going over a brief presentation. The Neighborhood Pride Enhancement Program recognizes residents who have made external improvements or enhancements to their home which contributes to the overall curb appeal and charm of his various neighborhoods.

5:56 – 6:334

Features that the committee considers during selection include manicured landscaping, drought tolerant landscaping, rockscaping, flowers, plants and trees, driveway resurfacing, window enhancements and exterior paint and overall curb appeal. Program guidelines include the following. Nominations must include a nomination form as well as before and after photos. Nominations are considered for a twelve month period after which an applicant may reapply if not selected. And then honorees will receive $1,000 in gift cards.

6:33 – 7:154

This quarter we are doing $400 for Harbor Freight, $400 for Ace Hardware, $200 for affordable decorative Rock and Cal Herbold's nursery, as well as a neighborhood pride enhancement program yard sign. In addition to these guidelines, we're also including that only Hisperey residents may be nominated, self nominations are allowed, and city employees and persons affiliated with or a representative of the city are not eligible. This concludes my presentation. I'm available for any questions, but if there aren't any, please feel free to begin reviewing the nominations for this quarter. And when you are ready, please listen from top to bottom. Thank you.

7:190

Thank you. Is everyone ready to

7:271

Oh, yeah. Yes.

7:290

Their nominations? Wanna call them out or?

7:352

Each person can call them out and then Arlene will and I will both tally them and make sure we have a we agree. So whoever would like to go first, you can choose.

7:450

Buddy, would you like to go first?

7:46 – 8:001

Absolutely. So for my ranking number one, I got I have home number four. For my ranking number two, I have home number three. For my ranking number three, I have home number one. And for my ranking number four, I have home number two.

8:03 – 8:243

For my ranking for my ranking in first, place, I have nomination number four. I have nomination number three. I have nomination number one, or I have nomination number two.

8:29 – 8:420

My rankings ranking number one, the nomination four ranking number two, nomination three rank three, nomination one ranking number four, nomination two.

8:44 – 10:514

Okay. It'll be just one second. Would everyone please be able to restate their rankings, but instead of reading it as, so you would read it as House 1 is two, House 2 is three, House 3 is etcetera. Okay.

10:53 – 11:160

House 4 is one. Okay. House 3 is two. House 1 is three. House 4 excuse me. House 2 is 4. Okay. So it should be 4312.

11:181

I have the exact same thing. Okay.

11:222

We'll have 4312. Yes.

12:154

I have the winner as House 3 and runner-up House 4. Is that correct?

12:200

No. No? Should be the winner should be House 4 and runner-up House 3.

12:392

Agree. Okay.

13:194

Okay. So winner's gonna be house four, runner-up house three.

13:230

Correct. That's what I have.

13:254

Me too.

13:272

Got it.

13:274

Thank you.

13:421

We need emotions.

13:45 – 13:590

Well, I moved to select house one as the honoree of the city neighborhoods pride enhancement program and number three is the runner-up. Do we have a second?

13:591

Second. I motion to put it in. Could

14:042

you repeat that, Mr. Lugo? I thought we said that number four was the winner and number three was the runner-up.

14:090

You are correct. I stand corrected.

14:112

That's okay. I haven't done the motion yet. You wanna do it one more time?

14:16 – 14:270

We'll select number four as the winner and number three as the runner-up. Letty, can you second that again?

14:280

Correctly this time.

15:240

Motion carried. At this time, we'll ask for any comments from committee members. Or, do you have any comments?

15:34 – 15:501

I was just asking about the the Christmas one that I've seen. Is that through the that's not through us. Right? I've seen something is there are they doing through the city of Hesperia, are they doing, like, competition with the house decorated for Christmas? I think I've seen it online, but I

15:512

Yes. That's correct. That's gonna be a city council decision.

15:591

I was asked by a neighbor. That's why I was asking. Well, that's he was winning. I said, I don't know. I know that we they give a thousand dollars over a year, but I don't know what they're getting.

16:082

Right. Can we pause and just go over the voting one more time? Because I don't wanna have a meeting where it wasn't correct. So I'm gonna pause the meeting so we can discuss it.

16:183

Okay. Is that alright?

16:191

That's fine. Okay.

16:39 – 16:512

We are back on. So we were just gonna clarify the voting that everybody chose. Would you clarify that for the for us, please?

16:510

Yeah. We'll clarify it as

16:532

House number one.

16:54 – 17:060

House number one was ranking four. House number two was ranking three. House number two was ranking

17:072

House number three.

17:080

Three.

17:122

Four three two one. Correct? That's 4321.

17:15 – 17:462

Okay. So the committee chose the ranking as house number one is four, house number two is three, house number three is two, and house four is number one. So one was their favorite pick getting the least score. So number one is is house four, which is the winner. Correct. And house three. So I just wanted that on record that our motion is correct. House 41 and house number three is the runner-up.

17:460

House number four is the winner.

17:492

Yes. Did I say that backwards? Yes. Okay. House four

17:540

is ranked one.

17:562

House four is ranked one house three. Two. Okay. Perfect.

18:050

We need to make a motion on that again or are we good with I the

18:13 – 18:262

think our motion stands and I think our verbal conversation substantiates it being that we changed it from 4,312 to 4,321 ranking houses one through four. Thank you for that I appreciate it.

18:260

No problem.

18:272
