You may bow your heads. Heavenly father, grant us the wisdom and humility as we serve our community and make decisions today. Guide our words and actions so they reflect integrity, respect, and care for the common good. We thank you for the men and women of our military who protect our freedoms, often at great personal sacrifice. We also lift up our hearts and our mind, our thoughts to our first responders, asking for their safety, strength, and peace as they serve others. I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The first item on our agenda is or the next item I should say is the election of county council president. I had a wonderful year serving as president. It was a it was a privilege to serve the residents of our counties and my fellow council members. Thank you for that opportunity. But then at the new year calls for a new president. So, may I have a motion for president for 2026? I'll make a motion for Brad Beaver. Second. All in favor?

Of course. Um we also need to confirm or appoint individuals to various boards, commissions, public agencies or other entities. This action was completed on December 3rd. We need to confirm or appoint council members to various responsibilities committees for as liaison to various county offices or entities. This was also completed on December 3rd. We need to adopt our annual council meetings and deadlines. This was completed during budget season um was completed on October 13th. Need to adopt and amend um the procedural rules. Um, this will be reviewed um and put in front of council at our next council meeting on February 4th. We need to confirm or employ um the attorney, fiscal advisor um and or staff members and this was completed on October 13th as well. Um next would be to select a parliamentarian.

I'd like to make a motion to amend the incumbrances as follows. Uh before we actually get into approving the incumbrances, a reduction of $45,000 in fund 1237, $45,000 in fund 1237, and a reduction of $5,736 and a quarter in fund 4906. So 5736.25 25 in fund 4906. Do I have a second for that adjustment? Second. All in favor? I opposed. Okay. Now you have your list that has been adjusted or amended of the uh encumbrances. Motion to approve with those modifications.

And then I would just like to inform you that uh we received our final 1782 notice from the state today, which means the county's 2026 budget's been officially certified. So we're open. We're open for business. Is that the quickest that's ever happened? It would have been a lot quicker if some people would have signed something and and we we can't have recrimination. No, no, no.
