Good morning, everybody. Today is September the 14th, 2026. The time is 855 a.m. We'll call the special meeting of the Guadalupe County Commissioner's Court to order. And today on our agenda, item two is executive session in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. and pursuant to Section 551.074 to deliberate the appointment, employment, and duties of a public officer or employee to a road and bridge administrator. I believe the plan today is to conduct three in-person interviews. Commissioners, any other comments or discussion in open court before we start interviews? No. No, sir. All right, then we will recess from this regular session of Commissioner's Court and enter Executive Session at 8.56 a.m. All right, coming back from Executive Session, We will reconvene this regular session at 1.05 p.m. We did go into closed session for section 551.074 to talk about road and bridge administrator. We did conduct three in-person interviews. Commissioners, any comments, discussion, or potential actions to consider?

Yes, Judge. I move that we appoint Mike Brooks as the road administrator and that his salary will be based on the budgeted amount in our current budget that we have approved.

I do have a motion and a second to appoint Mike Brooks as the road and bridge administrator for Guadalupe County with an effective date of today, September 14th, 2026 at the current budgeted amount in the county budget. Any other comments or discussion? I do want to just quickly say thank you to the applicants who took the time to go through the process to come in and talk with us today. It was very beneficial for the court and the individuals to spend the time we did this morning. So just wanted to say thank you to those who did that. Any other comments? All right.
