With the arrival of warmer weather, spring and Greer is right around the corner. This week's Greer View is packed with opportunities to get outside, connect with neighbors, and celebrate our community.

Spring has sprung and that means Greer Alive is back. This fun outdoor event features live music and food as well as local vendors to explore as guests enjoy an evening at City Park. We're gearing up for the Greer 150 Big Bash as we continue to celebrate our city's Cesqua Centennial anniversary. Join us on March 28th in downtown Greer as we celebrate with activities including a classic car show, live music from Guardians of the Jukebox, and even a laser light show to round out the evening. Don't miss the first farmers market of the season this weekend. Local growers and vendors will set up in City Park this Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with fresh produce and goods to get you in the springtime spirit. Coming up, planning commission will meet tonight on March 9th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. City Council will meet on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30 p.m. Some areas of Century Park are getting an upgrade for the new season. Updates to the slide, lower parking lot, and zipline are underway and should be ready for warm weather fun by March 28th.
