A peek at a springtime family favorite, a look ahead at the next GER 150 celebration, and a fundraiser featuring more than 25 local restaurants. I'm Annaise Lewis and this is your career view.
With this past weekend's warmer weather, we can't help but get excited for springtime programming in the city. We're less than a month away from Greer's Easter eggtastic event, which features an Easter egg hunt, inflatables, games, crafts, and of course, a special appearance from the Easter Bunny himself. Mark your calendars for March 21st, and head to the link provided for more info. After you spend the morning stocking up on candy and Easter fun, head over to the historic Greer Depot for the first in a series of four story of Greer events as we continue celebrating Greer 150, our city's cesquisentennial. Heritage Museum director David Lovegroveve will tell exciting stories of Greer's tumultuous past. Check out the link provided for more info. The Rotary Club's annual fundraiser, Dining Around Greer, returns this Sunday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Your ticket gets you samples from more than 25 local restaurants, a cash bar, and raffle prizes. All proceeds go to support the Rotary Club's community projects.
You just go in and try sampling everything that's there. Every restaurant, you can sample as much as you want. Uh, so it's sort of like an eatfest, you know, uh, and I'm people do.
For tickets and information, head to the link provided. Coming up, the Greer Planning Commission will meet tonight at City Hall from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. City Council will meet tomorrow night at city hall at 6:30 p.m. Construction on the city of Greer's new sports and event center is still on track for an early 2027 opening date in spite of some severe winter weather. Harper General Contractors is working with many different trade partners to build this community facility. Visit the link provided to learn more about Harper and some of the other upstatebased companies who are bringing these plans to life.
