City Council - Special Meeting

Good evening everyone and welcome to this special call city council meeting on this Monday, December the 22nd, 2025 at 5:32 p.m. Miss Derry, would you mind calling the role, please? I would not mind. AC Brown here. Ralph Maker here. Tim Terry's absent. Roger Rainwater here. And Steve Tedford is absent and Rod Pal is absent. But the mayor can make a quorum. So we do have a quorum with that. Thank you ma'am. We have one item on the business one business item tonight. This resolution to mend budget for special additional holiday pay uh on Friday the would be December what 26th.

26th. So this is open for discussion. We discussed it somewhat the other night at a study session but it's open for discussion and look for a vote. Seven discussion. So just just to verify and be clear this is a one time because of Christmas Eve Christmas day Thursday this is going to be Friday very similar off on Friday holiday very similar to what the state federal government is

so with our employees will be off the city will be closed Wednesday Thursday right yes and the with pay is what we're Yeah. It won't be not a thing that we're setting a president that was going to go year after year. Correct. It's a one time deal. Correct. And the only the only financial really consideration is holiday police officers. So they're they're factored in too. Okay. And the overall cost you came up with Um 4,000

actually on next year. It's the first day. Last paycheck of the year was just issued. Yeah.
