February. We were anticipating that there was going to be a little bit rebate down a little bit but it ended up with zero rebates came in 38,000 February 115 I'm showing you this kind of purchasing power as well. So in March $2,000 is the actual taxable sales volume that occurred in January and you know what January's financials we had 63% change distributed back to 1.11% increase for the amount that was distributed March So that equates to $183,000 taxes. When you look at the cumulative January through March, it equates to almost a million dollar increase in taxes.

I would like to see this number above the rate of inflation because what it's saying, but the amount of purchasing went down inflation increases prices. So if this number were at a little purchasing not purchasing less but paying more influences tax was up. So all those indicators on the county side up favorably our combined sales tax last year the at this point of the year. Now we're up.22%. Now we get to your numbers. So in the month of March from March 26, we're up. March. However, you had a little bit of a down month in January, February, but at 6.23% increase. Now when I show you what March is normally 2018, these are just the numbers for March of

the That's almost normal for a month of March. But when you look at the average months, your average collection for years,4 you would end up with a million7 versus monthly average sales. the last two years and you would most likely end the year and so we're looking to have that rebound doesn't of have no bad news. All right. We moved our event to this year. Last year we had impend with the contest music contest of course our proceeds go to our scholarship we're asking for 5000 this year we did 10 the first year this I'll make a motion. Give five.

He's doing math over here. BFW5K. Sorry, this is my second year doing this, but my name is Gary Sanders. I'm a commander and also chairperson for the DFW 5K run for the Warriors. Uh this year we requested $6,700 over the previous five year or the five years that we've done this 6,500. We're not just yet as the chamber commerce race, but we are halfway there. Last year we had increase in runners. Uh as you remember, we shifted the date from February to September and showed a increase the number of runners. We came in just under 200 this last time and that also includes not only just the runners but also another category for the service animals that also accomp between our run and the chamber of commerce. I don't run the 5ks anymore. My apologies and I know that the request is for 6700. I know working with Miss Charlotte that uh she knows or I hope everybody knows that we don't try to spend everything as the seven seven body committee. We try to take that amount based off historical forecasting uh and then try to return as much back as possible. Uh but this run is to support uh local veterans. Uh are placed with the BFW. Uh you guys probably know that we also have BFWs in Fort Smith, Ozark. There are seven within our district, but we're the only ones that seems like it raises money to actually help disable or not disabled veterans, but veterans of all kinds. And based off this last year, we helped

numerous numerous veterans after the doge cuts, we had service members who also worked for the government that was cut. So, we did help quite a few veterans and that's exactly what this race is for. Uh, besides trying to bring more people and notoriety to the community and finding partnerships within the community for businesses.

Um, it's a great event. We appreciate it. We're glad we can help out with it. uh due to your time where you're doing yours and we're right out on budget. We can give you I I'd make a motion to give them 2,000 right now and then get you back here in next two months from now to try to get you that get you the rest to try to get you all you need. But we can guarantee you two right now, but yours isn't until October. So, we got a little time to save up a little bit if that's okay. So, that's my motion. I second. Is that okay?
