We're a little early, but we're going to go ahead and call the meeting in order. So, um, first I'll do is take roll. Mr. Brown here. Mr. Bader here. M. Smith here. Mr. Powell

0:28 – 1:11Speaker 1

here. So, if you guys take a minute, look over your minutes from the last meeting. There was just one on the on the minutes there. It looked like it was kind of cut off at the top of page two. the second line, you know, you said that Miss Derry stated that she uh that she had talked Mr. Mallister who

1:22 – 1:48Speaker 1

express stops. Good wants to make a motion or whenever you're ready. Make a motion to accept. Motion second. Second.

1:45 – 2:08Speaker 1

All those in favor. Okay. Uh we're going to review the financial status. Tom, do you want to go ahead and talk now before get deep into it. We always seem to get into it and then you come back with answers that we already had questions to

2:04 – 3:55Speaker 1

share with you. 4.46% As far as a rebate perspective, we do have factor as far as noise numbers. That means that our change would still be looking at this line here. What the actual taxes that generated the distribution to us was years as a good pick of 2026. If you compare 26 January to 25 January as far as concern this represents the collections that were made in November 2023

4:07 – 5:57Speaker 1

which is right under which is as far as their ability to go out. There was a lot of consumer confidence that county sales tax also had an increase of 1%. So that 1% is distribution all general operations. So that's good for us. As far as the combined sales tax experience last year% kind of an anomaly as we kind of knew specifically because we previous years we had 18,000 years. Now we're back to the 18 point something that just ago I wanted to collection on a cash basis for this 221,760. So that's what you collected all year long

6:00 – 7:48Speaker 1

the total actual remittances for 202. We actually just for the same period collected 2 which is telling me that 2024 January had a pick up money. Let's just look at December's number 186. What amount of that actual tax So there was a little bit of a catch up there. But again, history. And then the last thing I wanted to show you is how the budget is going

7:54 – 9:20Speaker 1

because the first distribution in January is what you collect in December because the amount that came in that budgeted projected December was the amount that was distributable amount that was used in January. So the distribution actual was 928 which is what was budgeted. So there's zero growth there. What you're seeing now understand because I haven't seen Is this letter from you Tom or

9:16 – 10:24Speaker 1

is mentally to all of the socounters to res. Michelle.

10:30 – 11:10Speaker 1

So we know who they are. You wrote on you wrote on this note for me Charlotte that like I think on the fourth line the tax applies to sales of prepared food and beverage should be added there. What is it?

11:13 – 11:42Speaker 1

I don't know. Do we want to see it back with the modifications or we accept it with the pending modifications?

11:37 – 12:04Speaker 1

I think the real thing is It looks good to me. Yeah, I'd say change the right ordinance number and then she can add the criminal.

12:03 – 12:41Speaker 1

So, I'll make a motion we accept the letter with the pending note modifications. Second favor just in general on the fin Get all the yellow.

12:53 – 13:56Speaker 1

All those in favor? Okay. So, we'll get to the fun stuff. Special County Fair car show. coming from out of state. I guess when I I received a homestead

14:15 – 14:35Speaker 1

and I know we've already given some money to this. We just ran out of money that what what do we give you Randy? 48 48 so far. Randy, how this is your first year of taking second year? What what were

14:44 – 15:29Speaker 1

I do? musicent that years ago I've also got the opportunity like But you if if we give you $3,000, you can make this work.

15:26 – 16:03Speaker 1

I I make a motion we approve the grant for $3,000. I second. I think everybody seconded. So, pick any all those in favor. Randy, thank you always for working with us. Randy, I had I had a request just earlier today, and it's it's a recurring one, and I don't know if it's something you wanted to take on, but years ago, probably before you got here, we used to have a a Kushman scooter convention thing that went on.

16:00 – 16:41Speaker 1

Do you remember you remember it, Donna? And and it it was kind of a crazy little time because all of a sudden one weekend there was people running around here on Kushman Motor Scooters and the fire department was busy going over picking them up out of the intersections. And so but it was pretty unique and kind of cool. And they did a swap meet. They were swapping parts because evidently these parts are you can't find them. They're hard to find and there's people that make them. And then all of a sudden it just quit. And so um who it was that I I don't know. Well, somebody asked you about it, so they must have

16:38 – 17:38Speaker 1

Well, you know, I'm going back. It was Ron Ronnie Fox was asking me just a couple hours ago and uh Miss Fox used to be on the parts commission and anyway, Ronnie was asking me about I said, "Do you know who started it?" He said, he said, "Let me think about it for a while." And I said, "You know, I really wished we could put some money in that. You know, they never had anything. The AMP Commission was in its infancy. And maybe with a little bit of money advertising nationwide, that could have been one of those little unique clickish things that come to Greenwood, Arkansas. That's why we show Facebook and stuff like that. positive results. Like I said, we're getting people

17:46 – 18:18Speaker 1

when you're at Well, at the car show, ask about the if anybody knows about because those are kind of those type same type of guys.

18:21 – 18:49Speaker 1

But that was uh that was a unique deal. I wished it was back. I I get asked about it all the time. Yeah. I don't know where I saw that and it was at the fairgrounds. Fairgrounds always hosted it and you remember it? Yeah. They were going everywhere all over. I I just remember that was a busy day on the fire department because they were just

18:46 – 19:35Speaker 1

always that and they were at all the restaurants. There's all these Kushman scooters at all the restaurants and they would buy them and sell them and but it was parts that they was the real draw people restoring them and hunting parts and there was vendors that would show up to look Randy, we appreciate you helping us with our fiscal responsibility here and trying to

19:33 – 20:12Speaker 1

Well, you you only have so much. My heart is to make Greenwood the best it can be and the events that we put on be the best that they can be. And my dad taught me from a young age, you got to give back to your community. So, Yep. done awesome things. Y I need to ask about the what has that was for the bounce bounce house okay is that okay yeah I thought I mentioned it he did he mention he did he mentioned that he was going to change the price

20:09 – 20:44Speaker 1

he's changing the price the DJ use the money that he's going to save for the house it's noted in budget real Make a motion to accept. Second. Second. All those in favor? Thank you all. South Spash County Historical Society of the Quilts. Thank you for having me back for round two. As far as the Kushman thing goes, I wonder if there's a regional club because I don't know.

20:43 – 21:25Speaker 1

Something was holding that group together. There might be a regional organization. It it was a very neat Greenwood weekend when they were here and you had to dodge them. Well, we are back uh to ask for the funds uh for the quilt show in the amount of $32429. Y'all always do a great job. Um it I guess You're still It seems to grow every year. Have you ever plateaued out yet?

21:23 – 22:06Speaker 1

No. Well, for the last three years, we've been at about at 600 attendance, but uh we're doing it a different weekend this year. Not by choice, but just the way the parks calendar fell. So, we'll see. It's close to a lot of graduations, so we'll see if that helps us. We hope it helps because there'll be grandmas and grandpas in town and I I make a motion we approve your grant for $3,200. I don't know when I sit in the chair. Everybody's good. Thank you. Appreciate that very much. And if I can give a shout out to Chris,

22:04 – 22:41Speaker 1

we always take advantage of the billboards that you have for the Chris the quilt show and the upcoming founders day that we're having March the 7th. And we've always relied on Ram to create those for us. We give them the raw material and they make them pretty. Chris is helping me do that now. So, thank you, Chris. I hope you keep doing this because it is one of those neat eclectic little deals that brings a different group to town. Not the Kushman Motor Guys. Almost. Hey, those granny's might like those bikes, too.

22:38 – 23:23Speaker 1

That's a very neat event. and they're almost all from out of town. Our demographic shows that most of our visitors from are from northwest Arkansas. Um the southwestern corner of Missouri had a couple from Kansas and quite a few from Texas. We did have one family come from Iowa just for the purpose of seeing the quilt show. You never know who's going to show up. Thank you. Question for 3200. What was what was 3200? You said 3204. Okay. 320429. Can I I want to amend my motion if it was misunderstood. 3249. Second your correct motion. Okay. We'll vote again.

23:30Speaker 1

Battle of Bell Park.

23:36 – 24:21Speaker 1

Back again. Back again in the 18th year. the 18th annual battle at Bell Park. Yes, sir. Are the other baskets usable yet or are we still working on those? Do you guys have all those at Bell Park now? Yeah, we actually have the two courses. It's been up now. All that course. It's been up. This is maybe the third year. Okay. Definitely the second year. Maybe the third year, beginning of the third year. So, yeah. Know that we used both courses. Last year was fantastic. Everybody enjoyed it. Had a great time. Uh numbers have stayed about the same. Um you know most of the people that this most of them I mean probably 96% of them are out of town folks that come in so yeah lots of guys a big event it is absolutely

24:19 – 25:03Speaker 1

what is the attendance about um so day of it's 144 that's how many players we have but then they all bring their families and their caddies and they come in for practice rounds and um I think the number I put down here was 319 and I think that's conservative I I think there's probably way more than that if you look at with two or three four weeks beforehand. Yeah. Of people coming in and playing. Is it the 18th? Is that what it is? It is 18th annual. Can you believe it? Yeah. They do two a year or is it 18th year? 18th year. Chris Eid started this. He ran it all the way up until the 15th annual and then I took over it and I this will be my third year to run it. Y'all are one of the first for the commission. Always been here. Been always been a really good event.

25:01 – 25:18Speaker 1

Oh yeah. It's like I said, it's it's one of the most popular events in the state. As always, you guys always have good swag. Absolutely. You bet. Keep some. Yeah. I make a motion to accept. Second. All those 7,000. Yes, the 7,000.

25:21 – 26:05Speaker 1

Thank you all very much. Uh I wanted to side note. So Justin Horn is the one that usually runs the children hospitals doubles tournament. He has asked our group WAFTA to take over that tournament. We are going to run that tournament for him this year. It's uh probably going to be in November. So, I'll be coming to you guys again for another grant for that here probably the next the next meeting. Yeah, he he ran it. I think this was it the 14th annual I think it was the 14th annual was last year. So, this will be the 15th annual and he's just, you know, he's just tired. He's ran it for a lot of years and so he asked us to take Corbert and we we we accept the offer. Great great tournament. You know, 100% of proceeds goes to the children's hospital. So, yeah. Fantastic. So, our next meeting will be in April. Is that right?

26:04 – 26:22Speaker 1

So, he'll probably You'll probably be back. That'll probably be the one I come to. Yes, sir. Okay. Yeah. I' I've asked him uh he's going to send me the the grant that he sent to you guys, but so I can at least see it and amend it. Uh yes, please. That'd be great. Thank you. All right.

26:18 – 27:03Speaker 1

All right. Thank Sebastian County Library summer reading program. I'm from the Friends of the Library and we usually ask for uh the grant money so that we can help provide materials and things for the library during their summer reading program. And um I think we put on there I forgot to bring my copy. We do service Mansfield's library, Laca, Hartford, and us. Did I leave one out? Walurn. Okay. Those Yeah. Hartford, Mansfield, Laca, they're all under our umbrella.

27:02 – 27:31Speaker 1

So, do they come to the Greenwood library or do you guys go out and Okay, Renee, I'm not sure about that. Kind of a mix. Yeah. Now, we take we do take stuff to their library, you know, the books and stuff. Yeah. That was something we brought up. I was say that was one of the questions I forgot to ask. Library was that?

27:33 – 27:59Speaker 1

Yeah. Walmart and the other branches don't stay open all the time since they're so little. They they only, you know, some of them may only stay open like two days a week or certain times, but we pretty much provide what whatever we can to the library. How long does it go? Oh, it says May I see? Yeah, it's a summer through July 17th.

27:57 – 28:41Speaker 1

And we we hope to have one big celebration towards the end. We usually do, but this one we're going to try to make more special because it'll be the last one that they'll ever have at this library because then they'll be in the brand new library um next year. We get over 500 kids will come and gez it's and that's why we need a new library. It sure gets crowded down there. Well, and I guess that's what I was wondering. Just Mel, is it is this amount just for the the Greenwood folks or is it No, it's for the it's for all those. Yeah, all those.

28:40 – 29:15Speaker 1

Okay. Yeah. the main the the library here in Greenwood is uh it actually serves Laca, Hartford, and Mansfield. So, we provide books that we take books out to them. We take services out to them. They're all under one big Scott Sebastian County umbrella. Yeah. It's not just a Sebastian County library. It's Scott Sebastian County, which some people forget. They forget the Scott part, which that brings in Mansfield. Merryill, how much did we give you last year?

29:14 – 29:55Speaker 1

I was not here last year as president. I want to say about the same amount. It was 3,000. I'm pretty sure we wrote it out for the same amount. 3,000. Oh, this one was 35. I should have had you come up here and talk. Why was there there was a We upped it because Oh, yes. Oh yes, I forgot. We have a We wanted a program come in called the amaz. And it's a dinosaur. They actually bring some really cool stuff in for the kids about dinosaurs. They come from Northwest Arkansas.

29:53 – 30:36Speaker 1

That's probably the programming present. Yes. For $840, right? And so this is this is held all summer long. I mean, is it like one day a week that you kind of emphasize it or they just drip in every day kind of the museum part? Are you talking about the whole program? Yeah. It's an everyday thing. Yeah. Between that kids can come in anytime. They get their books. They log their stuff. Um, they get little prizes. We have all kinds of, you know, which is that's where we come in to help provide bookmarks. I make recommendation that we do $3,500.

30:33 – 31:03Speaker 1

I'll second. And I promise I'll come prepared bit better next year. I kind of got thrown into the slot of president. So, but anyway, we appreciate it. Thank you. You get thrown into a lot of things. That's because I have a big old I don't know how to say no. I got a big old L. Loser. Oh, that's super library. Greenwood experience summer kickoff.

31:02 – 33:01Speaker 1

Yeah, we're here for the uh Kushman Scooter Association. Um yeah. Um so uh last year I was uh lucky enough to be involved with a group called the Greenwood Experience and it is a program that has received funding to provide educational opportunities for Greenwood High School students um outside of the traditional school days. Uh and teachers will uh sign up to teach sessions on whatever they kind of want to. Uh we had last year a barbecue science kind of teaching where Mr. Holland took everybody through how to do barbecue from smoking like pork and ribs and going through and know all the science behind that. We had a hiking group ex expedition go out and do the different trails um and then work throughout there. There was a Taylor Swift and literature course that was taught for some of the students and I did a um sound design 101 kind of class. I give you that backstory because I know when you see Greenwood experience you're like what in the world is that? That's something new. Um and so this would be the second year that we would go to. And last year at the end of my course, we put on a small concert in Bell Park uh and just had it free and open for the public. We had a local band come and play and all the students who took my course were setting up the lights, sound, speakers, and all that and running the entire concert aspect of it um for the band that was presented. So this year we kind of wanted to step it up a lot. We loved Bell Park, but it just doesn't give you that drive by kind of traffic and visible eye step. And it was something that we did on a shoestring budget last year to kind of pull through and I thought what a cool experience it would be for the city of Greenwood to have a summer kickoff kind of festival put out there. So we've secured funding again for all the production equipment, all of my students cover fees, my fees, all gear that would be covered over there. So as a father of a six-year-old, there is nothing better in the world than bounce houses and and we talked about that. So, um, what primarily most of the grant that we were asking for, uh, $4,000 for bounce house

32:59 – 33:41Speaker 1

payment or for rental. I made that number up. Um, and so just to kind of see what we go through. I did find out we could get a lot of awesome bounce houses for $4,000. Um, but I also kind of know that you guys are working with the limitations of a budget to kind of go from there. And then also I wanted to do $1,000 to bring in some bigger bands instead of just calling in friends and asking about it over there. We'd love to see it set up on the square. Very of a smile scaled down version of what we offer the city offers for Freedom Fest. Um just a free night for people to come out, enjoy music, have food trucks, kids have bounce houses and and enjoy the evening. When that was on your, you know, your uh past attendance, you had 500 question mark. Was that

33:39 – 34:24Speaker 1

Yeah, because it was uh you know how to kind of go through there. I didn't know if we would count it as how many people attended the entire Greenwood Experience things or just the concert that we had up at Bell Park. Probably the concert that we had up at Bell Park was probably about 115 people that were there kind of around there. But again, we did it with next to no advertising, next to no um really budget for getting that stuff out there or anything to bring in. Um and so that's kind of just a number that we threw out there. If you went with all of the entire Greenwood experience, people who signed up for the barbecue session, who signed up for, you know, the literature session and about that, I feel 500's very valid around. Last year, you had an event afterwards. You're wanting to do one to get it started that this year. Is that what we're saying?

34:21 – 35:08Speaker 1

So, the I will teach a class. This grant would run simultaneously with the class that I'm teaching. I'm going to teach a class on my students on how to run sound systems and to set up and to go around there. And then the event is the grand culmination of that entire week and to kind of go out there. So taking the all the funding that is provided for the production equipment and the class to go through over there, putting that in with the Greenwood Experience grant to offer this free concert for the city and then hoping to get the AM to kind of add some more fun stuff to cover. So if you were to think of like the Freedom Fest setup, we've covered the band, we or we've covered the the production equipment and the lighting and sound and all that other stuff. We're just trying to see if we can get some more fun things for people to come out on a Saturday night and and to go through.

35:05 – 35:49Speaker 1

What time? Uh the concert I 6:00 to 9 in that range evening. Yeah, nighttime kind of kind of range over there. You have the bounce rounds at the same time the concert or have them before? Um well, great answer. Great question. Um I was thinking about the same time probably maybe we set them up around four and and kind of go through there. Um have it a good opportunity for kids to set up. I'll be there all day getting set up for for the shows to start. Um, and then food trucks probably would want to maybe dinner time be set up around there. So, I'm pretty sure they could be turned on as soon as they're ready and then we can just go with it. So, hadn't thought that one. Any other questions? Uh, is the band for the kids or is it for the parents or

35:47 – 36:31Speaker 1

be for the parents? Yeah. Um, so yeah, last year we a local just cover bands that are just kind of going out there. Um, a little bit of both. Obviously, it's all appropriate music, but nothing um nothing like Blimpy or anything along there. The Bluey track or something along there, but yeah, they 70s, '8s, '90s covers. Yeah. Did we give some last year to You did not. Um this would be the first time I'd be asking for funding for this. How'd you cover your expenses last year? There's a a grant that the Greenwood Experience has gotten to cover those expenses. And then a lot of me asking friends to donate time and opportunities just kind of go through there. So, um, and the band is just you've taught the kids how to put up the sound music and do all that. So, they're just setting it up for a band to just do it

36:29 – 37:10Speaker 1

to have bring a professional local band here to play music. What age are the kids that are doing that? Uh, high school students. So, 9 through 12. So, you said there was a grant from the Greenwood Experience. From the Greenwood Experience Foundation. Yes, sir. So, that's not on yours. That's to cover the production side for the sound system, the lighting and and the training of the students to go through for the whole week. So, I guess that's a 403C. Yeah, that's a Dr. Johnson question. Uh I teach theater. It is a nonprofit uh setup that has gone through over there. So, him and Miss Skaggs handle that. And when Joel Skaggs tells you something, you just say yes, ma'am. Um so, so your money's just kind of

37:08 – 37:52Speaker 1

to cover the bouncing. Yeah. Step it up. Take it to the next level. figure while you're doing it. You're going to do it on the square to where anybody get that drive experience or not. If you drive by, want to stop by Absolutely. But you think Yeah. that I mean 4,000 for the bounce around. You think that uh you buy 3,000 on that? Sure. I'd be extremely happy with 3,000 for that. Would that make it total of four? Total of four. Total of four. Three and one. Three. Is that what you were saying? Three. Three and one. So, four total. Keep keep kind of the best numbers you can get.

37:51 – 38:32Speaker 1

Okay. For because you'll be back. I hope so. Yeah. Um, so I'd love to start doing it every year again. And as long as they can keep providing that grant, it's an excellent thing for my students to get that real world. You know, most of you know I'm the theater teacher at the high school when I come ask for that money. getting those students in the technical world to learn outside of what a theater production runs and then seeing, oh, we could do this and we could do that. It's it's an excellent educational opportunity for my students to go out there, too. Somebody taught somebody how to smoke. How to smoke? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah. Woo. We had a different thought there for a second. Um, smoke meats. Yes. You can teach them again and you can sell the meats and see if you

38:30 – 39:10Speaker 1

Yeah. Um, Jeremy Holland is offering that same session again today. Okay. So, if you want to sign up and learn his barbecue tricks, the man makes some great some great pull pork. So, I loved attending that session. It's open to anybody. Uh, no, but I bet you I can sneak in. I know a guy. I got you. Yeah. Um, I second AC's motion. You have a motion down here. 4,000. Okay. Got a motion for a second. All those in favor? Thank you guys so much. Good luck. Thank you. Um so then we're to commissioner comments.

39:11 – 39:56Speaker 1

We were discussing a little bit about the new um billboard company that we're using. Yeah. So Lamar So Ram would when someone would send us someone would send some billboard you know a lot of times be a fly or they just send some information like hey this at this time and we send it to Ram and Ram would put us together because they're a bigger company and they they have a bigger portfolio of businesses. They want everything formatted and they don't like ready to go. So like airing of the quil they want their designs already done.

39:54 – 40:15Speaker 1

Yeah. She's like we're doing the airing of the quilts. She sends it to Chris. Chris would give it to them and they would make a design. Now we have to make our own. Chris has to make his own. Yeah. Now I have to now I have to or they have to make I have to do graphic design now. Do you mind doing that or do you want us to find

40:13 – 40:58Speaker 1

No, it's not. So it's not too bad. It's uh the main thing is is is letting you know like Randy and Donna know because they're used to one way know that it needs to come with certain specs and even Even with that, it's like I can to a depending on what they send me, I can I can run it through like Canva or AI or something and it'll it'll format something for me. But there's just a couple of extra steps involved in it. But it's mostly just trying to get the word out to everyone that is using the electronic billboards that if they can have them, you know, already a billboard already in,400 by 400 pixels in a JPEG, it's a little bit easier

40:56 – 41:12Speaker 1

and not send it to you than not and say, can you put this up tomorrow? Yes. Is is the I mean I know Canva or whatever that program graphic software, you know, was that expense, you know, is that something that we need to provide for you or whatever? It's a free software. Yeah.

41:10 – 41:54Speaker 1

Okay. And like I said, a lot of times you can, you know, like I use Don as an example because she sent me some stuff for um founders day. It was just like there's a couple of vintage pictures. It's like this is the event. So that was easier to work with because you can drop that into, you know, Brock and say, "Hey, I need a billboard these dimensions in this format and this is the image and this is the text and kind of the vibe that I'm looking for and it'll put it together." The problem is is when I get like a flyer because it's fored by 10 because it's a piece of paper and then when you ask artificial intelligence which is not actually really intelligent it's it's first thing to do is take that fly

41:52 – 42:35Speaker 1

stretch it out and you just look at it like I'm I don't know what I'm supposed to do with this but that that's when it becomes a little more um a little more complicated to deal with but I will say it's a learning process and we're we're learning through it I think we're in a pretty good place with Tim, you don't teach any classes on graphic design. because I've looked at that. I don't teach any classes with that, but

42:32 – 43:07Speaker 1

maybe the kids like, "Hey, maybe put them all together for me." So, that'd be another person to call. And the only reason I brought it up is I had somebody mention to me that they used to just send the information and have a nice design. We're spending a lot of money on this billboard and if we're having to do it all ourselves and there we might not get the quality that we were getting before with the other company. Yeah. We're not getting bang for the buck. So,

43:05 – 43:50Speaker 1

it's not the same as and I like I like the folks that Lamar Steve Jackson's a good guy to work with and everything like that. Um, but you can tell it's a different company. You know, we don't have the same amount of billboards that we had before for the same and they don't have the uh like said they don't have that added benefit of of doing and with RAM they were really proactive like a lot of times they would come like hey we saw on someone's social media feed that this and this one you want us to put a billboard together for yeah so they so it's just something for us to think about too the other thing is like I think the only town the digital billboards. Yeah.

43:50 – 44:35Speaker 1

So, so they have less digital billboards. So, we had we originally had five in our our package. We we have uh four of the original five that we had, but the one on Rogers Avenue by the Diddies and the McDonald's over there by 54. We don't have We sorry, we don't have the one by Mercy. So, instead of having the two on Rogers Avenue, we have Avenue. Uh one on uh 540 behind Home Depot, one on Phoenix across from Tacos for Life, and then one um at the the west end of the airport on Old Road.

44:33 – 45:17Speaker 1

Yeah, those are the those are the four that we have. And they're saying that that Yeah, that's their pricing now. Said, "Oh, yeah. Y don't you not getting five for this, you know, we're going to only give you four for that little bonus of them making the graphics sometimes for even stuff that we don't I mean like the Battle Bell Park he may not even advertise on it but if they saw it they would pick it up and say hey do you want us new company is not doing that I see the chamber Bob Hervvis had asked me if there was dead times when you could put other things about Greenwood on there and I told him to call you

45:12 – 45:52Speaker 1

yeah and we can weeally when it's slow We don't have a lot of stuff. We have um we have some stock images that we run some stock billboards that just kind of run as everything like that. I know one is the the logo for Greenwood and the motto and everything like that. It's got the time of day. He just asked if he could add to your stock images and just to uh uh promote things like, "Hey, Greenwood's one of the safest places and you don't have to listen to all these airplanes and you get an occasional bomb go off."

45:49 – 46:34Speaker 1

Yeah, maybe the one by Home Depot would be a good one. Right by the airport. Yeah, right by the airport. Well, we just we don't say anything about the occasional bomb blast. Yeah. Midnight. When is the contract up? Uh it'll be it'll be in December again. That'll be in December again. So, it's just I mean I don't know we're going to get any cheaper and they're not going to be able to just offer that thing. We just need to think about like he's saying letting these people know that are coming up. You almost have to come up with your own design or see if somebody like Bob or somebody we can find somebody who would help so Chris isn't tied down with the only person coming up with graphic design.

46:32 – 47:09Speaker 1

You know, over at the chamber they've got uh what's his name? Mark. Mark. You know, it may be that, you know, if it becomes a burden on you, we might could see if Mark would handle some of the stuff because he's he's doing that kind of that type of thing. Yeah. Over there. We're already putting chamber stuff on there. So yeah, that's pay out. So if it gets to be a burden on you. Yeah. Well, Chris, if if they bring it, you know, like, you know, I guess landscape size 8 and 1 half by 11, would that be more conducive or it's easier?

47:06 – 47:45Speaker 1

Yeah. The um the the chat it it doesn't have to stretch as much. So it's it's not as formatted. The real problem I have is when it's a when it's a flyer shape. Like I said, it's default is to just and you can you can kind of prompt it and everything like that. And sent me some weird stuff like I don't know what you're doing with this. It's like it's like this is this is a simple thing that I'm asking you to do. You're supposed to be the future of everything here. You're intelligent. Yeah. What what is this? What are you doing here? Yeah.

47:41 – 48:13Speaker 1

But yeah, I think the main thing is just let people know and I'm doing that as best I can on my even request something about if you want it on the billboard you need to provide stuff like this and Ram's got the specs and I've sent them to I've sent them to Randy and I sent them to Donna and everything like that it's just kind of the new I guess

48:11 – 48:37Speaker 1

well I think still yes because I know you're doing this on behalf of&t and we sure appreciate it but yeah anytime it does too burdensome, you know, please let us know. And like I said, we'll, you know, work out and say either split some of the task up with, you know, with the chamber maybe or or, you know, do something, you know, to make it not your full-time job.

48:34 – 49:14Speaker 1

That's kind diligence on the letter. anything. I mean, all we had was little Charlotte. And again, as far as the the bed and breakfastes, I mean, like I said, there is no really database. Y'all just have to kind of hear about them and stuff.

49:11 – 49:34Speaker 1

When I went through all the platforms, you know, you can do a search I direct message Airbnb.

49:39 – 50:25Speaker 1

If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the Airbnbs that tax is included. It's just never being distributed. So I cities like early on got in there. So is it just

50:22 – 50:52Speaker 1

getting I mean is it just getting it from the owner now is all you Yeah. Yeah. It's like the owner system but the owner of the I mean because we have a few that are paying and the owners can just Okay. and they can add the extra bill and then when they pay they take that 3% give it to the Robert's the only one doing what he's supposed to be doing. We also he's not

50:50 – 51:24Speaker 1

and we also know like that that person has a manager that helps them manage those properties and they manage other properties in the city for other people but they don't collect for them. So it's like if we get that even if we get that managing partner to understand then they can push it in. I mean it's not costing the owner. Does it not show the address of the Airbnb when you go to Airbnb? It won't show you the address. I mean most of the places I could look at I could probably tell you exactly which house is and go to you can see

51:23 – 52:08Speaker 1

then you can just look up the tax records. Couldn't you know up that Yeah, that's what we're going to try. That's what we're going to try. And so is that a I guess like a state by state thing. I mean, if I if our Arkansas legislation, you know, passes a thing that, you know, they do have to collect it. They're lobbyists down there. Oh, yeah. All legislatores are for sale. We get what we can. Those guys buy them billboards. We don't buy them billboards. We have a billboard, but we don't buy them for them.

52:07 – 52:42Speaker 1

Just like people come in and ask for money, we give them what we can. We're asking for payment and we we can if we I mean we're also missing out on a Facebook right now where we're at and see Right.

52:51 – 53:13Speaker 1

Anybody have anything else? Make a motion. Second. What did we end up with? We cut it. That's what we spent today.
