I would just like to uh thank a couple of um groups. First of all, um a thank you to the Valley of Flowers Committee. uh this is in advance of the weekend. I just know it's going to be a wonderful event uh for all their hard work, especially uh the chairperson Lori Lowry uh and the whole committee that spend so much time uh preparing for the weekend. Uh I'd also like to give special thanks to a group that came together, a smaller group that came together this past Saturday to help with cleanup in Ward 6 in advance of the Valley of Flowers weekend. And uh I'm grateful to OldTown Partners and specifically and especially to Gina CBI who organized the event along with her husband uh Steve CBI did a lot of u pre-planning and preparation uh potting plants and uh then we uh distributed them and and put them up and down St. Francis while there was a lot of trash pickup and weeding that went on. Um the rest of the group included um Christine and Doug Kyle, Greg Lman, Terry Spring, uh Bridget Fincher, and Jerry Chansy. So I'm really grateful to all of them for their efforts in regard to uh the W six cleanup. Thank you, Mr. President.
Councilman Shield. Thank you, Mr. President. I would like to offer my condolences to the Boil family on the passing of Patrick Bole. He was a longtime attorney in city of Florisonent and very active in our community and he will be sorely missed. Thank you.

thank you. So, this is a big weekend for us here in the city of Forest and as we celebrate uh Valley Flowers u celebrating 100 years of Route 66. Um that's uh this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. There'll be activities for all ages, live music, food vendors, crafters. Of course, on Sunday, we have our parade that starts at 1:45 and a crowning of our 2026 Valley Flowers Queen. Um so, please come out. It should be a great family weekend uh down at the Duchaine Home Association. And then in conjunction with that, on Thursday night, there'll be a family movie down at the uh Duchaine Home Association. So, that should be great for the kids. We have two big celebrations happening this year in the city of Florison. Um city of Flores actually celebrate our 240th year, our anniversary. And so we have a publication coming out. We're going to have a ceremony and we'll be hanging banners up and down St. Francis Street. There'll be more information coming out as the same as our country becomes uh celebrates our 250th year. We also have a celebration on the 4th of July celebration then and we have the banners along St. Francis Street for that also. Thank you, Mayor.
