City Council - Special Meeting

Okay. Ready? Everybody ready? All right. Like to call to order the uh floor and city council special meeting for Tuesday, March 24th, 2026. Please rise for pledge. here. Councelor Stone here. Councelor McKinnon here. Mayor Wolf here. Uh consent agenda, consider entering a one-time contract with Territorial Electric for City Hall LED light retrofitting. Um we got a good uh council action form on that. Uh does anybody want to pull the agenda item to ask any questions?

Okay. Motion passes. I just like to say I with the cost savings I projected it out being the number guy I am. The payoff would be two two and a half years which is really really good.

Yes. It also fits in our ma in the master plan and all of that and the lights. It'll show to our facade trying to fix it up and clean it up and it's good for the environment. I'm very excited and I'm also excited that Territorial Electric will be doing the bulk of we'll do all the rebate. So, we it's really nothing on us except then put it in and I pay our portion. I'm super excited. Thank you, council. Okay.

Item four, new business. Consider approving ordinance number 2-2026, an ordinance adding chapter 15.13 wildfire resiliency code to title 15 of the Florence Municipal Code. Um, city planner. Um, yes. Does anybody have any questions? No. I just say thank you for the the workshop we had beforehand here. was very informative and I know it relieved a lot of questions and a little bit of angst that I know that I had personally. Yeah. Anybody have any other questions or comments?
