Oh yeah, I got this.
We've got so little we don't have any sheets to Oh, I didn't do that. I got time. No, I literally didn't do it. just saying he didn't he did not send me the packet and I knew he'd been up here Friday because Ann told me he was and so I text him then I said uh did you send out the board packet he sends back to everybody but you thank you very much Chris Darham got it twice
so The fingerprint Yeah. deal. Is that going to be mandated? It is. Is it? Yeah. Oh, come on. It's the only reason why we're pushing for it. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter. But that's about is what it is. What's the yearly fee going to be?
Don't think that was Let's see. say on here or do we just pay once a year whenever they come to check it? And it doesn't say on here. I mean, so it's got the software, right? That's 500 bucks out the gate. So I assume if that's what it's going to be yearly, right? Then it's 500 a year. I couldn't see it being more than the initial cost for the software,
right? Shoot him a quick email to see chances he replies. If we got to have it, can you hear me? Yes, we can hear you. Okay, good. How are you, sir? Good. Okay.
Yeah. Thank you. I have no idea why it sent 101 pages on that one. Well, I don't know either. It's Plus, didn't you see it bounce back? Didn't not even a valid address. Why would it be? Hi, Bill.
Hey. All right. I think I finally fixed it. You didn't have to be let in. So, yeah, that worked slick. It was great. Thank you. Let's not talk about it now. So, it's like fight club. All right. Um, I got six. Let's call this meeting to order, please. Start with the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
All right. First thing I need to do is to allow a motion to allow Alex to appear remotely. Is Dave there too? Dave, are you here? Because if he is, he's showing up as me. Motion for Alex to I don't see D here remotely. Second. I have a motion and a second. All in favor say I. I. Opposed. All right. Now we need a roll call, please. Gillis here. Bogs here. Smith. Fleming
here. Rose Cruising. All right. Um, we've had a chance to look at the meeting minutes. This time I'll take a motion to accept or questions, comments, and concerns. Motion to approve. Second. I have a motion and a second. All in favor say I. I. I.
Opposed. Thank you. I do not have any correspondence this evening. Um for Herb did not send me meeting minutes and we're probably going to cut him some slack. So he is at home. So um but he'll catch up with us. We don't have any old business which leads us to new business. First order of new business I have is a discussion possible actions. I would like to buy six picnic tables to put on our lots that we own uptown. The ice cream store seems to have quite a bit of business. There's been some talk about farmers market. I think that would be a much better place to have a farmers market than out here after about 5:00. That whole lot is shaded. Um we put power up there. I think it just we ought to just start losing using lo using it. Um, these Shiloh told me that if I get these hangers or these hardware, which are $349 a piece, he can buy lumber or has lumber to make these.
That's awesome. And so, you know, a half a dozen of them is 74 $2,100. A lot of money, but they last. And because we've got the crew, the boys are painting them each year and just making them look good. Plus, we've got kind of a shortage of picnic tables when it's next spoon over drive and such. So, like to make a motion that we approve money for the picnic table hardware purchase. Second. Have a motion and a second. That's going to be a roll call, please. Gillis, yes. Bogs, yes. Fleming.
Yes. And I vote yes. And Stuckle. Yes. Okay. Can I add something to that real quick? Please. Obviously not this year, but the high school kids, they do a project every year where they make picnic tables, right? So, I don't know if that's something for next year just to Yes. And and had I had a brain, we would have employed them. But this kind of Well, I got asked about it because I didn't even think about it. But yes, I agree. Cody, does anyone know what they do with them? I think I assume that the one up behind the Bank of Farm thing came from there. Okay. Yeah. I don't I don't know what they do. But if I I think that class is looking for projects. Yeah. And I'd be happy to put that class to work.
Yeah.
So, plus, you know, our those young people, they did a wonderful job on the gates to the cemetery, and I' those looked to be really sturdy picnic tables. three men and a boy to carry him. So, good good thoughts, Cody. Um, next dooring thing I have on new business is discussion possible action I touch biometrics fingerprint system. This is an $11,710 investment. Um, Cody has worked with Dr. Chatterton and has received cursory um that the school will flip for half of this. Plus, then we can get other school districts involved to help defay the costs or make this a revenue stream, but it'll allow our wonderful police force to do fingerprints without having to go to Lewistown or maybe Canton. Um it will help with the city when we're doing background checks on employees. Um, yes, it seems to be a lot of money, but I think that we can get our money back in a big hurry. And Cody, does this preclude you guys from hauling someone to Lewistown for fingerprints if they're
Yes. Meaning for the the new law that came out the end of the beginning of this year, anyone that's arrested with I'll read it right off here. um required to fingerprint individuals for class B misdemeanors excluding Illinois vehicle code violations all class A misdemeanor and all felony offenses. So this is true regardless of whether a citation is issued in lie of historial arrest or the individual is temporarily detained and then released on pre-trial conditions. So essentially, if we give someone a notice to appear for a class B, that's not normally something we take to jail. Um we can fingerprint them, take their picture, and then they're in the system
without having to make a trip drive all the way down there and and then finding somebody to cover town and this this seems like a good investment. And I put it in the budget. Chris Chris had given me a heads up on this and I did include it in the budget. So, it is in the PD's budget for this. I'd like to make a motion that we spend the $11,710 for the touch biometrics. Second. A motion and a second to purchase the Iouch biometric system. That's roll call, please. Gillis, yes. Bogs, yes. Plumbing,
yes. stuff. Yes. And that's what I have for new business this evening. Committee reports. This ought to be pretty quick. Joe, you have anything? Nothing to report, Mr. Mayor. Nate, you got anything? You got it mostly cleaned up on the road behind me. So, Alex, you got anything? Nothing to report. You got anything? No. JT? No. Joey. Second. I have a motion and a second that. All in favor say I. I. I. Opposed.
That'll do it. Thank you. That might be one
