That's so when is our garden going to happen this year? We've got water that's you'll see the white the white flag's already up for water. Oh, awesome. And she's she took a whole list of things that she needed to the public works that they're gathering for her. So Ashlin Ashlin Kapalis, she's Julie Walder's daughter. Oh yeah. Awesome. Yeah, it's it'll go this year. The the water was a problem last year. Was it couldn't seem to

0:45 – 1:290

communication American is not the best. So, we're going to get water put in there with a lockable vault. Absolutely. Oh, man. The lines are already there. Correct. We took them out when we had all the when we had all the utilities taken off. They took it out. You know, when when we did that, we had no idea what we're going to do with that lot. Is it costing someone? It can't be much. Probably need a new line anyway.

1:26 – 2:090

Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Yes. Somebody asked us a new line after 75. Well, you know, I don't know if it was a lead line still or if it had been replaced. So, I've had people ask about it. I'm pretty sure it's going to be up and running this year. Yeah, she's I've been talking a little bit to her and she's working through Shiloh. Oh, awesome. Good. I don't know.

2:19 – 3:020

Did you miss the trip in this morning? Oh, yeah. No, me too. I got about threequarters of the way there. My buddy called us like, "You guys just might as well stay home. There's no sense for all three of us going in. Should be an easy day. That's not what I wanted." Well, my commute this morning was kind of hairy, too. Was it? Yeah. All four blocks of it. Yeah. It was a white knuckle flight. All right.

3:00 – 3:320

Did you wait at least till the sun came up? No. No. I was on time. Matter of fact, I was here at 559. Oh boy. Someone went overtime. Right. I couldn't believe that wind was so snow drifts and crap. Yes. On the way to Bloomington, I saw a semi in in the center. Oh.

3:28 – 4:050

Saw a car in the center and then two SUVs on each side. Do you see route 94? Interstate 94 in Minneapolis and Wisconsin. It's just a shut down. It's just what 26 in of me. Okay. Yeah. time. I don't know. I think they got 26. Rene's up there visiting Karen right now. I talked to her yesterday and they had 10 on the ground and they were expecting at least eight more. Oh man. At like one o'clock yesterday.

4:04 – 4:460

What do you do with all that snow? You know, wait till Friday. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Wait till Friday. That's right. Probably have those machines where they dump it in and it melts it immediately. Yeah. Like Chicago does. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's going to be 72 on Friday. Mhm. I need to wash my truck. Oh my god. Wow. It's the worst it's ever been Wednesday or Thursday. Spray it off and really wash it on Friday or Saturday. Fellas really earned their keep this morning.

4:42 – 5:260

She was like Quinn just it was horrible. And tomorrow I hope it's a lot better. Still going to be cold and windy, but hopefully not as bad as it was this morning. It was Did you You weren't involved in that, were you? Not that one. No, I was on my way to Abington. We got about halfway there and they cancel actually canceled that one. They moved it to Wednesday. Really? So came back and then I ended up going back to Abington later in the day. So, oh man, I drove by there and that old tent just blowing like a umbrella when the wind's blowing. All right, I got six o'clock. Um, I don't mean to interrupt your call to order. Please start with the pledge.

5:24 – 6:090

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Um, welcome. May we have a roll call, please? Christie. Yes. Gillis Bogs here. Smith here. Fleming here. Rose Ken. All right. So, I'm needing a motion to allow alderman's Rose and Gillis to appear virtually. So, move. I have a motion. Do I have a second?

6:08 – 6:530

Second. A second by Nate. All in favor say I. I. Opposed? I. Let's let the record reflect that alderman's Gillis and Rose are appearing via teams as well as attorney Connor. All right, now we've done that. I think we're legal. Everybody's had a chance to read the minutes. At this time, I'll take questions, comments, concerns, or a motion. Motion approved last Monday before last. Yeah. March 2nd. Correct. Motion by Joey, a second by Nate. All in favor say I. I.

6:50 – 7:100

Opposed. I three ring circus. That's going to carry. All right. We have no correspondence. Herb passed out. I passed out the new the new minutes as compared to the old minutes.

7:08 – 9:080

Yeah. If you have last month's because I sent it to you. Well, you know, my age. All right. So, y'all have a copy of some new minutes. Uh there just a couple of things that I'd like to bring to your attention. And um we had a an inquiry from a nice lady from Iowa looking for a Henry Spong died in 1862. And uh our records indicated that he was 21 years old, 3 months and 6 days. Calculate that out and that makes him 1840. Born in 1840. Well, she thinks that he was uh born in 1790 and was in the War of 1812. So, we found his marker. He does have a marker. And sure enough, he is 71 years old. And so she was just I thought she was going to wet her pants. She was so excited about that. So then we're going to add his name to the list that the legion's going to put on our marker up town. Um so he was a a private in the War of 1812. And that those are the kind of fun things that we're able to do because we have the electronic uh capability of of querying our uh our deceased uh people. Um that we've had two let's say three burials uh Dorothy Venturi Na Nesa Biano and tomorrow is Denise Brown. Um, the only other thing that I think I would like to run by it is that we are going to finish the fence project this year and we've talked to the fence guy

9:06 – 9:510

and what we'll do is we'll start at the driveway at on Fort Street where they come into the garage, go to the corner, go south to that driveway, no gates, and Then we'll go from the other side of the driveway down to the entrance. Um, and then we'll start at the entrance and go all the way to the end of the cemetery. So, that's that's our proposal for the uh this year's G uh fence project. Other than that, um, you know, we just been, you know, doing our thing. Questions? Okay.

9:490

All right. Thank you.

9:51 – 11:040

Thank you. Um once again, no old business because we take care of everything. We have a little bit of new business this evening. First item that we have is discussion possible action. Um electrical installation for uh city-owned lots on Fort Street. These are where economy shoe store. These are Sam Lilies that we just purchased. Um, what we'd like to do is put a electrical panel on the back side of that property near the northwest corner of the property because then we have electrical up there. So then we can invite food trucks or have something on there. Um, there's no cost to us from Amaran because we own all the way to the pole. They're going to take it underneath and put a panel like that's in the city park um that has lockables and all the neat stuff on it. It's $3,400. The only thing we have to pay for is the work from Stan to put the service in. Everybody's agree that we approve the $3,400.

11:02 – 11:210

Second. I have a motion from Alex, a second from Joey. That's going to be a roll call, please. Christy Gillis, yes. Bogs, yes. Smith, yes. Fleming, yes. Rose, yes.

11:19 – 12:120

Right. Sorry, I I was waiting for Cruisin and she is not here. Um that Thank you. Next item I have for new business is our um donation. This will be the Swan Song of the K9 Koala Easter egg hunt. Um, as a result, this is a fundraiser for the K9 program. This is where a lot of the money comes in that, um, helped pay for K9 Pandora, of which Officer M is in training with right now. Last year, we gave $250. Um, Andy asked me if he could go ahead and go buy the bikes so he had them so he could take pictures and things and I said, "Yeah, I think it was $375. Can we just give him the bikes?"

12:08 – 12:500

Like to make a motion that we donate 373 $375 to the 2026 K9 Koala Fund. All right. So motion from Joey, a second from Nate to basically pay for the bikes that are the prizes, right? Can I rephrase that? That so so we the city will cover the cost of the bikes that um are given as prizes. That's going to be a roll call, please. Gillis, yes. Bugs, yes. Smith, yes. Fleming, yes. Rose, yes.

12:46 – 13:300

All right. Thank you. It's this time of year. Um, next item I have for new business is sponsorship of the Farmington Central School District trap team. Um, again, coaches for this are Officer Ste and Officer Rice. Last year, we were a bronze sponsor for this. Um, what this does is it helps them out with the cost of ammunition and targets and such. I'd like to make a motion that you become a silver donor this year for $250. Second.

13:28 – 13:520

I have a motion from Joey, a second from Leslie to become a silver sponsor of $250 for the Farmington Central School District 265 trap shooting team. That's going to be a roll call, please. Gillis, yes. Bogs, yes. Smith, yes. Fleming, yes. Rose, yes.

13:50 – 14:340

Thank you. And the last item that I have for new business is the fence that Herb was talking about for Oakidge Cemetery. Total cost of this fence is $55,300. Um what I'm proposing to the council is that we pay for half of this 22 $27,650 with the TIF. This is a good tiff project. It's part of things that we can do and this is this is allowed under the tiff act. Awesome. Is excuse me the city will pay 55 out of the 55. So so the cemetery fund's picking up the other half, right? Okay. Okay. So

14:33 – 15:150

that's fine. I can make a motion that we pay $27,000 $27,650 towards the fence project at Oakidge. Second. Thanks Joey. That's a motion from Joey. A second from Leslie. That's a roll call, please. Gillis, yes. Bogs, yes. Smith, yes. Fleming, yes. Rose. Yeah. All right. That's the end of new business. We come to committee reports. Um Jenny is gone. Joey, do you have anything public safety wise today, Mr. Mayor? All right. Nate, anything sewer related?

15:14 – 15:500

Um Alex, anything street, sidewalks, garbage? Uh nothing to report. Just please drive safe. Amen. Um Leslie, parks and wreck. Oh, we're just gonna have a meeting on the 23rd at 4. Yes. Does Alex know about that? I'm sure he does. I sent him the same email. So, so Okay. Y we just have a meeting on the 23rd for to discuss um possibly having wreck all day. Correct.

15:49 – 16:270

Yeah. And we're meeting with we're meeting with some people about the wreck program. got a new um got somebody who's really interested maybe to take it five days a week looking for some additional funding. Um we're also inviting um Jake Vass. He has expressed interest in wanting to be involved in that. Um Jake Bass is the administrator for the nursing home and has done amazing things out there and wants to do more, wants to be involved in the community, so we're going to let him. So, all right. Um Dave, that leads us to you. Anything you'd add? Nothing to report, sir.

16:25 – 17:100

All right. Um I know we've had some short meetings. Hunker down next week because we'll have a or in it'll be the first weekend of first Monday in April, which I think is like the 3. Uh we will have a budget hearing. We will have an exec session. Um we've got some things to talk about. So, um, any of you gentlemen have anything? Motion to adjourn. Second. I have a motion and a second. All in favor say I. I. Opposed. I. That'll be it. Thanks. Good.
