time and the fuel and stuff like that. That way the customer still gets a good rebate on their side of everything. So before they bring it here, can they should they throw other metal pieces and stuff? If they if they've got some stuff laying around the house, it's metal that they want to recycle and not throw it in the landfill. Um just open the back doors up and throw it inside the car. So yeah. And it's and it's really important about not putting it in the landfill. Yeah. We really want things to be recycled. Yeah. Cuz it's when it goes to the landfill, it's just going to sit there. It's not going to it's not going to go anywhere and decompose. So, it just fills the landfill up even faster. And and with with recycled goodness, they are making everything. Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. It just helps.
And it saves a lot of energy, you know, putting this stuff back in a new steel versus it going in the landfill and having to make, you know, new steel elsewhere. So, yeah. You did talk about the the the drop. I fill them out on that as it as it arises. So,
Okay. Awesome. Well, thank you again, Kobe. I appreciate Wadell's sponsoring our live sports coverage, and we hope you tune in to all those sports that are taking place in the Harden County Schools. For HCTV, I'm Director Gina Ryan. [music] Well, it's another new school year. HCECTV is going to be bringing you goodness gracious probably over 80 high school sports from now all the way to the end of the school year. And joining us today is Josh Huard who is the president of West Point Bank. And you've been here since 2008. We started live streaming of sports or live broadcasting of sports back in 2004 or five in that range. And it was really with Brandenberg Telecom saying let's go. Let's do this almost dragging this into that live network which was great. And West Point Bank of course started small and now it's everywhere you need to go.
That's correct. Tell us about the beginning of West Point Bank. Yeah, so West Point Bank has been around uh Harden County for a number of years. Um we got our start in West Point uh and then have since grown uh to five total locations throughout Harden County. Uh West Point, Etown, Rackcliffe, Glendale, and Upton. and then soon to be hopefully the Patriot Parkway branch um there on the Patriot Parkway. So that would be six branches, five in Harden County, one in Laroo County or Upton branch. Now where will that be on Patriot Parkway? So right across from Magnolia Farms Oh yeah. subdivision right there where Rinville Road intersects with the Patriot Parkway. That is awesome. Look, we're so excited.
Yeah, I of course I've lived in Ryville all my life. So I love that area and everything. So that is a great place to do that. That is wonderful. excited. Yeah. Tell us about the services that you offer. So, at West Point Bank, we're a full service bank. Whether you need a deposit account, a loan, a savings account, certificate deposit, we can do it all. Uh home loans, car loans, farm loans, you name it, we can do it. Uh we take pride in serving the community that we live in, uh that we are a part of. Uh so, if you need anything in the banking industry, whether it's a checking account, a loan, a credit card, we can do it. Come see us. Yeah. Now, in order to be such a successful enterprise, you have to have great people.
We do. I think we've got the best people. Um, our people are are our biggest asset. Um, we strive to provide exceptional customer service to everyone that walks through the door. Uh, and not only providing excellent customer service, we also want to provide excellent banking products uh to a wonderful community and then give back to that community. So being able to sponsor youth sports, high school sports, church events, schools, nonprofits, we really strive to be in the communities that we are in.
I was going to say that you all always participate in local parades and you're there when you know any of those uh nice community festivals are taking place. So we do. We do. Um if the community calls on us, we try to be there. We can't always be everything to everyone. And um so with your help in sponsoring these live sports um what do you think the benefit is for the community and for those people that may be serving overseas in the military or they just can't come to the game?
Yeah. So I think it's important for youth sports and let me answer the question that way that you can learn so many life lessons through sports and and we tell my wife and I tell my children when they're playing sports there's a right way to win there's a right way to lose there's a right way to be a good teammate uh and that's going to go forward even after school after high school when you become in the workforce um being a good teammate being a good life's hard sometimes you're going to win, sometimes you're going to lose and how you handle that. Uh you can learn a lot of life lessons through sports. So we we find it important to sponsor sports. We're we're we're so excited to uh to be able to be a part of that and hopefully some people uh can not only enjoy playing the game, they can learn some life lessons through that. Well, in the past, prior to what we call streaming, uh, if you were an athlete and you wanted a coach to take a look at you, you'd have to make a VHS tape or a flash drive or something like that. And with streaming through Brandenberg Telecom, you know, we're able to, if a coach wants to to look at an athlete, they can just go to that.
Absolutely. And we use Brandenberg Telecom for our streaming and uh, it's a excellent service. They do a great job with that. I'm glad that they're in that industry doing that and providing that service. uh in order to have such a wonderful bank. We talked about the employees that you have, but what are their different roles at the at the various?
Yeah. So, absolutely. So, at three of our locations, uh Elizabeth Town, Radcliffe, and Upton, we have a loan officer on site. Now, we don't have a loan officer on site at all times at West Point in Glendale, but we can certainly accommodate that if someone were to come in there and need a loan product at West Point or Glendale. Um, in addition, our locations have deposit taking ATMs. So, even when you're outside of banking hours, uh, you can visit one of our branches and make a deposit, uh, into their ATM or withdraw money if you need that.
Now, when West Point first started, was it involved with those other services that you have now? We've always been a full-ervice bank, but we have continued to grow and expand our services to where at this point if there's anything that you need in banking, we can pretty much accommodate it. Wow, that's awesome. Now, when Okay.
That is Christ. Rockur. Hey guys and gentlemen, welcome to baseball for tonight boys basketball championship from tonight.
