You know, this song here makes everybody in here think. Because if you've ever been through something, you've got to think about it. You're going to have some ups and downs. Come on, Jimmy. All right, y'all. This is the Late Night Live, the DCN Smoke. It'll come before you. We'll not hold you long. I just want to stop by to give you some factual information. Anybody know me know I hate when folk mislead folk. And especially when the information is on the internet. I record the memes. Rocking Mountain City Council, they record the meetings. The Rocking Mountain City Council clerk recorded the minutes. But everybody got their own facts. But I stopped by to give you some facts as has been presented in the meetings. Um, so I'm gonna hurry up and get on out of your way. 11 o'clock in the, in the nighttime. Um, let me see where I want to start. Okay, Monday night was the Rocky Mountain City Council meeting. Um, another one of those meetings. When folk come, address the council, same old, same old. And I don't know what it's going to take for them to get it. Coming with the same old, same old. And had the audacity to ask folk to resign. What took on me is these folk. These folk. all of a sudden can run a city. And some of them can't run their own household, but they can run a whole city. They can tell the city, council, the mayor, the manager, all them how to do their job. That's what tickles me. But I am so glad I can tune out the noise because I attend the meetings, Record the memes. When these folks don't even come to the memes, a lot of them don't. It's posted on social media. They just listen to the noise. And then them ones that come, they might as well not come. They just wasting their time. They need to stay home and look at it like some of them have started doing.

Because every time they come, they make themselves look ignorant.

But let me get on. Let me see.

Okay. On Monday night, my comments. When I addressed the council and all on the podium, I started out by saying I did not attend the July 27th meeting because I was in South Carolina recording the Sheriff of Edgecombe County, Cleveland Clea Atkinson, as he was installed as the president of the North Carolina Sheriff Association. I had never been to Middle Beach. It was a good getaway trip. And on that same day, on the way there, I got a bit of bad news, good news, whatever you want to call it. If I had, one would see it. But it's okay with me. But that was a good getaway. And I had a good time while I was there. Although I didn't go on the beach. Because I got down that Monday and... 6 o'clock, I went down at 530, set up, and we took some pictures before the event started. And after the event, I did go down to the pool where the guys were sitting down, fellowshipping. Had a good time. I normally don't do that. I normally would have went back to the room and start looking at my pictures and stuff like that and just chilled out. But my cousin, the real photographer, see, I'm the video guy. I take pictures, but the real photographer, Boogaloo Johnson, was there, my cousin. And so as we were going to our rooms, he asked me, was I going to go down?

I said, you know, I might as well do that. So he said he was going to change clothes. I didn't know he was going to change clothes, so I said, well...

Let me change a little too. So we went down, fellowship with the guys, had a good time. The only thing about it was, like I said, they wanted to talk about itch.com County. And I'm like, y'all need to just chill out here for fun. But it goes to show you how much they love itch.com County, although they are underpaid. But they love itch.com County and how... lawyer they are to the sheriff's office and protecting the citizens of Edgecombe County. So I have to support those guys. But getting back to how I addressed the city council, that's the reason why I wasn't there, especially for those who wondered why I was not there with all the foolishness that's been going on on social media. coming for me. But I said that Edgecombe Martin, after three days, around three days, they disconnect you. Pay reconnect, pay pass this. Pine Tops, if not paid by 5 p.m., the next day you will pay a disconnect and pass this. And the next morning you go down there, you got to pay, still got to pay to just reconnect feet with those souls and your pastor. I had donors to donate funds towards folk utilities. I took 5,000 on Wednesday, 1,000 on Thursday. Around four people benefited. At first, it was talking about taking care of one person. And then after overnight, thought about it, help a couple people that likes to turn off that old, you know, where you can break it down, where to help more people get their lights turned back on. that day, so I made sure to know that so they could get their lights on that evening, and then on Wednesday, and then the same on Thursday. I put a criteria on it, on who could receive it, and so we followed through the criteria. i've been coming to the meeting longer than anyone that sits on the podium the council members the um the uh attorney the clerk everybody and as i stated i hate i missed the july 27th me because my friend retired attorney jeff rose was the attorney uh uh for them that But anyway, I said that I know what the council has done over the years. People talking about they ain't seen no change. I seen it. It is documented. And then someone was saying that race didn't matter. Race matters. Today, I was at the store standing outside waiting for someone to come up to get some videos. I had videoed them on Mama Funeral back in 2009. And so I had met them at the store so they could get some copies. And this white guy was... I hate, I love being a black man. He said, I like your shirt.

I said, thank you.

He said, um, um. I don't mean nothing bad. I said, no. I said, you know, I seen a white guy one day and he said he loved being a white man. And I told him, I said, yeah. And you should. I mean, I said, I'm just saying I'm a black man. I love being a black man. You love being a white man. That's fine. I mean, I ain't got no problem with that. And so he was like, white. That's what the guy was saying today when I was talking to him. Race matters. I mean, like I tell people all the time, when black folks rise in the community, things better, everybody benefits. When it comes to utilities or anything, when folk take responsibility for their own actions, the better off they will be. So that's how I end it. Now, I keep hearing stuff all the time. The lies. The half-truths. The intentional lies. I mean, folks just lie, lie, lie. And know they're lying. Um... Let me get back to my phone. Um... I'm gonna be brief, y'all. It's late. Um... Let's see. Okay. I get so sick and tired of folk talking about the billing era. The double billing. The December billing era found, because of the former city manager, Keith Rogers Miss, he created, the city had to lay off some folk. So when Latasha Hall... The business center director went into the system. She found out there were some issues. So she was coming behind someone and had to clean it up. Well, you know, during that time, they were talking about the current city manager. Elton was out. She contacted him. He told her to take care of it. But they didn't know how deep it was. So I remember Elton Daniels saying the deeper they got into the system, they found more issues. The city said in January until they got the issue under control, there would not be late charges, no extra fees, and et cetera. Not one time. Not one time. Not one time. Do you hear me now? Not one time did the city tell folk not to pay their bill. Let me say that again. Not one time. Not one time. Let me see what this is. Hold on. I saw something pop up. See, I get so sick of stupid folk coming on my page. Let me go and block now. Somebody come up there talking about why not mention AK-47. He owed $47,000. Okay, automatically he should be removed from council. No paying, no council, bad person. Well, once you prove that, when you prove that, then you got something to talk about. But other than that, you just ready to get blocked because I ain't got time for foolishness. I keep telling folks, I ain't got time for foolishness. So don't even come on my page with no foolishness. And that was explained too at the July 27th meeting that I won at. Uh, Elson Daniels explained it. And also, um, um, also, um, Councilman Ruben Blackwell. Because I looked at the meeting up until, um, 530. Almost 530 when I went down to set up. But let me get back to, uh, what I was saying earlier. The city said in January, until they get the issues under control, there will not be late charges, no extra fees, and exception. Not one time did the city tell folk not to pay their bill. But then one night before the council meeting, a protest was staged by Councilman TJ Walker, Charles Robinson, and Crystal H.W. Anderson, along with some others. Um, uh, uh, Tim Barnes, the false rock and rock came up that night. He had been talking junk about TJ that evening when he came up, went straight to him, pulled him over to the side and they was talking. And then, um, I was using my phone cause I didn't bring, get my iPad out of the car. So I was headed back to the car to get my iPad to go upstairs to the meeting. And that, uh, uh, uh, false rock and rock said, talk your junk now. You talking on Facebook. I kept running on walking cause I ain't had time for that drama. But, oh, by the way, somebody sent me something where he talking about me on Facebook. But, like, you know, he got me blocked. But he followed my page. I could see the hidden where he done copied from my page. He followed me faithfully. And I love it. But I ain't respond to him because I don't even respond to foods no more. But anyway, back to what I said at the counseling. Folks were hollering. double billing and the state order came back with the report, no double billing. The audit showed these two councilmen had not paid their bills. They thought if they rushed to pay it, their names were going to be taken out of the audit, where they found out. Dang, I won't say that, but they found out. Some folks chose not to pay anything. So I have come to the conclusion That obviously, oh no, this is not what I read it. Let me tell you about it. This is not what I read it to me. I don't read what I read it to me. This is what I wrote. This is what's on my page. Let me make that correction. I said, some folks chose not to pay anything. So I have come to the conclusion that obviously they thought the city was going to forgive all of their debt and let them start new. Well, folks, it don't work like that. I mean, they be putting in words. I know what I type and then when I go back, that ain't what I type. So I try to go back and make corrections. But you're going to miss stuff because you know what you want to say. And so you overlook the mistakes sometimes. I tell people, when you see my mistakes, let me know so I can correct them. And those ones that have something negative to say, they let me know they're reading my stuff. Because sometimes I make up words and stuff just to hear them and everything. So that's it on the about the building error. That's how that went down. That's the facts. Y'all can twist it. Do whatever you want to, but it's documented. Now, the other thing I wrote today, when Andre Knight said the money is gone, when Andre Knight said the money is gone, all these memes and all that, they just had fun. The money is gone. He was referring to the money in the audit. So every time folk bring up something about this and that, it ain't about this and that. It is about, he was responding to what's in the audit. He said, the money is gone, we don't have it. He was talking about the $80 million that was stated in the audit. It was explained. It was explained in the audit about the moon. But some folks, they just take it and twist it how they want it.

That's what they do.

They take it and twist it like they want it. And then you got weak folk that follow them. But at the end of the day, When your lights get cut off, where them folk at? Have them folk tried to help you? How many thousand dollars have they taken down? But they always on social media trying to discredit me. Now, they want my money, but folk reached out to me and asked me, did I know anybody? And I did, so I made some phone calls. And I made it happen. They trusted in me. To get it done, I got it done. The state audit showed where the money went. Some folk intentionally ignore the documented facts and still talking about where's the money. Read the audit. If you can't read and get understanding, then ask somebody. Simple. That's all you have to do. If you read the audit, you don't understand it,

You just ain't somebody.

But all this stuff been repeated over and over again, so y'all done got it. But you don't care. It's just like the electric cities meeting coming up in Virginia. The talk now is they going to stay in a luxury hotel. They going to stay in a luxury hotel. Where's the money? See, this is why many times I ask, oh, you're paying attention. Let me back up. Um, um, um, I posted last week about, um, on the disconnect and, um, uh, how you can get, uh, uh, um, um, if, if your lights are not turning out, then you can get, uh, a plan. But if your lights turn out, you can't get a plan. Except with that, they told you that you had seven minutes to figure, seven months to figure that out from January to July. But no, y'all, this is TJ and Charles Robinson and the crew. But they went and paid them, and they didn't. You tell y'all. That's right. I was talking to the guy from the media that went to the Kiwanis Club. He told me that TJ was at Kiwanis Club telling somebody that if they see his name in the audit, that because he was protesting. Well, he knew his name would be in the audit. Because this is how it worked, y'all. The audit, whenever there's an audit, they send it back to the town or whoever being audited. You get to look over it. And you send it back. So he knew his name was going to be in the audit. And that's why he and Charles went down and tried to pay theirs. Thought it was going to show up. But it still was in the audit. That's what the... stay on to, uh, stress. So, um, now they have paid their, all those charges of $27,000, but see, he got a couple of businesses. Uh, TJ was around $4,000, and he got money from here and there, from what I'm saying.

I mean, I'm just talking about what I heard.

And so, um, now y'all are out here because y'all followed them. And then y'all got $5,000 bills and all that kind of stuff. I mean, my inbox is full of folk reaching out to me asking, can I help them? Now, I'm not going to put their business out there. I told them to stop posting their business on social media. If they want to share it with me in my inbox, that's fine. But do not put your business out there on social media. Because these folks, what y'all think... Just because they're talking about the council, they don't care nothing about y'all. And see, I'm going to explain that to you. See, what's going on in Rocky Mountain? When they said that, when they found out Rocky Mountain was going to become a predominant, a majority black council, some folks said, well, y'all can do that, but we got the money. So it's been a fight. So this right here, the light, the electric stuff, it's a minor. What's going on is they're using that as an advantage. If they won't come in after this Andre and Ruben, and they still doing it, they'll be talking junk about y'all don't want to pay your bills and stuff. But they ain't saying that because you all are saying what they want to say and coming after the council, black and white.

Somebody, everybody ought to resign.

When anybody ought to resign, it ought to be the two that are protesting. But hey, I say they ought to stay there and make them get it right. But all I'm trying to tell y'all is y'all better tune out the noise because it ain't what you think. Have they tried to help y'all pay your bills, these folks? I'm trying to find a way every day. Like I said, I don't have the money. But folks that donate, they got a criteria, and I got one too. If they come through me, I tell them I got one too because I'm out here. And I see what you're saying on social media and all that stuff. Some folk go down harassing the people at the business center. Why folk want to help you when it might be a possibility that you get your lights turned on today and within a month or two they back off because you still haven't paid it in full. Y'all focus on self. You might need to even get off of social media. You need to focus on a plan. Do you have a plan? The 300, but like they said to fluctuate might be 303 a day or something like that. But I'm saying when it started out, it said 300. Those 300, do you have a plan? because your plan is what gonna get you back where you need to be. It's doable, but you're gonna have to make some strong sacrifices because say for instance, if you got a bill of 43,000 and you gotta pay 2,000 to get your lights turned on, So you take, well, I'm gonna make it even $4,000. And then if you gotta pay $2,000 to get your lights turned on, then that's $2,000, you still got a balance. And then you got a bill coming in, still got a bill coming in each month. You got other bills. So it's gonna be hard for you to catch up at the salary that you making, especially if you the only salary in the house. Um, and then what bothers me is these folks saying they, um, they got several children. My thing is, come on, baby daddies. Help get them children lights on. But then you don't know the situation. The baby mama might have Don't have a relationship with the baby daddy. So it's all kinds of variables out there. But now's the time to try to get it right. Because this is some serious stuff here. This is some serious stuff. You hear me? And I feel so sorry for folk. But, you know, folk make choices. And when you make choices, choices come with consequences. I wish I could hit the lottery and help a whole lot of folks out. I sure would do that. I would do that before I gave it to the church. Because I try to help people. What I do right now, out of the little money I have, I try to bless folks. I was somewhere, and I really want to do something. I saw somebody going through something in a store. And I really wanted to help, but I didn't have it right then and there to help. When I was down in Sacramento, I went to Bojangles to get me something to eat. When I first got down, I went by the car wash in Bojangles, and there was a white female in there with three children, and a car wasn't working. And I want to intervene, but she was on the phone talking to somebody. And they were supposed to be coming. So I was sitting there eating. I said, man, if they don't get there in my time, I'm going to approach them. But they didn't come. They put it on their call. They put it on the phone because she used the phone, I think. But I was not going to leave there and not make sure. They didn't get that food because they already brought the food to the counter. I think they made some more because it was wild. But anyway, it's stuff like that that bothers me. But this situation with these, I try to tell folks, you got to pay your bills. You got to pay it. You can't listen to these folks. misleading folks. This is so sad. So all I'm saying is y'all concentrate on yourself, try to come up with a plan, and be true to yourself. Because don't reach out to folks so much you need some help and then try to get the same help from two different sources. uh, and, and, and, and, and don't let the other source know you already done, got your stuff situated. Folk, you can't do that. It's already worse enough as it is. So, um, focus on self and try to get out of this thing. If, um, if I should hit the lottery, I'm going to bless the folk myself. Um, I don't have it like that. I can feed folk and do little stuff like that. Get away a couple dollars on social media every now and then. I need to do that. I ain't done that in a while. Throw out a question and stuff. And everything. But I have passion for folk. And that's why I do what I do. When they talking about I don't live in Rocky Mountain. I work in Rocky Mountain. I spend all my money in Rocky Mountain. I came over this evening with the same clue to fill up my car. I stopped by Pizza Hut, got me some pizza, been wanting some pizza all week. I fill up about every other day, so I top off my car about every other day. Put about 40 something dollars in clothes and cleaners the other day. I mean, stuff I wasn't selling got to me. I mean, that's why I spent my, my cousin, nephew came to town today and I was telling him he was staying a couple days. I said, you can stay in Tauber. I said, but I suggest you go to Rocky Mountain because you got more to do over there. I said, but you just got to be a couple of days. You got more eateries and you want to go, you know, different places and stuff. So he took my advice and he went to rock him out to stay. He's going to be here for a couple of days. So, folks, you know, I don't care about people talking about me. Because I know what I do. Don't fade me out a bit because while they're concentrating on me following my page, it lets me know. It lets me know that I'm where I stand. I let other people know that, hey, don't follow them. Let them follow you. See, it's killing them that I ain't responding to them.
