An allocation of up to $300,000 to contract with a firm to perform research and analysis of the county's Water and Sewer system.

This analysis will determine how the County's Water and Sewer function can best be managed to ensure the long-term health and stability of the County's Water and Sewer assets and whether optimum service delivery would be achieved through the existing structure, reorganizing/outsourcing in whole or in part or the creation of a Water and Sewer Authority.

CA - Cooperative Agreement Sourcewell Contract# 10424-VKN - Firefighting PPE and Related Equipment Cleaning.

Commission District(s): All. For use by the Department of Fire Rescue (FR). This request seeks to ratify Purchase Order No. 5058768 for the purchase of sixty-five (65) Tri-Certified Viking Shield Gear to be used by firefighters throughout the County. Awarded to Viking Life-Saving Equipment (America) Inc. c/o Central Alabama Training Solutions (CATS). Amount No To Exceed: $110,175.00.

CA - Cooperative Agreement Heavy Construction Equipment with Related Attachments and Technology (Sourcewell Contract No. 011723-KOM).

Commission District(s): All. For use by Public Works-Fleet Management to be used by the Department of Watershed Management (DWM). This request seeks to purchase from the competitively let Sourcewell Contract No. 011723-KOM for the provision of two (2) Komatsu (Model No. WA270-8) Rubber Tire Wheel Loaders with Attachments, for the purposes of clearing debris, dirt & rocks, as well as loading items into dump trucks at various work sites throughout the County. Awarded to Komatsu America Corporation, c/o Tractor & Equipment Co. Amount Not To Exceed: $489,396.08.

CA - Cooperative Agreement Grounds Maintenance Equipment & Related Attachments (Sourcewell Cooperative Contract No. 112624-KBA).

Commission District(s): All. For use by Public Works-Fleet Management to be used by the Department of Watershed Management (DWM). This request seeks to purchase from the competitively let Sourcewell Cooperative Contract No. 112624-KBA for the provision of one (1) Kubota Mini Compact Excavator with Attachments, and two (2) Kubota Compact Track Loaders with Attachments, for the purposes of excavating various worksites throughout the County, as well as cleaning up debris and landscaping. Awarded to Kubota Tractor Corporation, c/o Lashley Tractor Sales. Amount Not To Exceed: $268,143.58.
