Good evening, I'm with Tom, members of the city council and city management. For those of you who may remember last April, our period here is so somewhat adamantly. Requested the city council of Deer Park, Texas, which is touted as the birthplace of Texas birthplace of Texas, do duly proclaim and restore public recognition and commemoration of the date of Texas declaration of independence on 03/02/1836, and also the day of the Battle of San Jacinto on 04/21/1836, and do so recognize by displaying prominently the Texas State flag on Center Street, and furthermore, to include within the annual Deer Park calendar recognition of the set historical date. So for those persons present who may wonder why the state of Texas flags were displayed yesterday along Center Street, thank you, I hereby proudly extend my sincere gratitude to this council and all other participants who have graciously and patriotically fulfilled my request and confidence in the report. And also, if you didn't know, you should have looked at your March calendar, Dear Annual Calendar.

4:19 – 4:59Speaker 2

And you would have seen wish my money stuck to me like that Texas Independence Day today yesterday and next month is Angiocena Day. Thank you again. Now, to reiterate my passion for these requests, I'm a seventh generation Texan whose ancestors settled during 1821 and 1831 in the Austin and Robertson's colonies of Tejas in the invitation of original fathers of Texas, Senor Jose Antonio Navarro, Navarro County, and Mr. Stephen F. Austin, son of or the originator, Moses often.

5:00 – 5:46Speaker 2

And the Romero family home, by the way, in San Antonio is a state historical landmark. So, my seventh great generation grandparents anticipated in the Texas Revolution against the regime of dictator Santa Ana and subsequently served in the establishment of Texas Republican state governors. In a brief biography of William Henry Walker and Sarah Wilhelm Walker is included in the documentary entitled Mylon County, Texas, Its Evolutional Leaders by Curtis Chubb, PhD twenty twenty one. The document was commissioned by my cousin Stephen Young, former county judge. Additionally, my mother's father was a distant relative to David Smith Cornegie, whose name is engraved in the facade of the San Jacinto Monument.

5:46 – 6:28Speaker 2

As one of the Texian combatants was General Sam Houston during that decisive battle. And to further emphasize the meaning of that victory, it is secured in Texas independence leading to its 1845 annex and the subsequent Mexican American War, which added more than 1,000,000 square miles to The United States. In closing, I direct everyone to seek out their genealogy and ancestry to learn how and why you became who you are, and especially the younger folks who are seeking to establish a personal identity when in fact you already have a respectable, patriotic identity founded in your ancestry. Thank you again.
