Okay. It's 07:00, so let's start our, council meeting. Call to order. Call. Roll call.
Commissioner Sathiga? Commissioner Ken? Yeah. Commissioner Shu? Here. Vice chair Shoji? Yes. Here.
Okay. So the first item is approve of meeting minutes. Brad, yeah, can you click the meeting minutes?
Here. And
this is just a friendly reminder that in theory, you all are supposed to review the minutes at home so that we're not putting it up on the screen. Or you could bring your own personal device and you could pull it up on your device in front of you. That's also fully booked in.
Okay. Yeah. Any discussion or update?
For the part that participated, it's okay, but I'm late for fifteen minutes for the meeting, so I didn't participate in the first fifteen minutes of discussion, which related to Cupertino's story. So I will absent vote to the idiots. Oh, okay. Yeah. But I wasn't a participant in the first fifteen minutes.
So do you make a motion? Yeah. We can and make motion to I will make motion to pass the appointment minutes.
I second it.
K. Let's take a quick
vote. Commissioner? Yes. Commissioner Shoe?
So can I vote for it? Even if I If
you weren't here, so you would have seen also. Yeah. You can actually, you can still vote technically if you were if you weren't here. But if you would like to abstain, they just say, I abstain.
Because I'm right. And, yeah, I abstain.
Mister Hande, he says. That's I'm sorry. Vice chair Choshi? I I just and started the whole boat.
Yeah. Yes.
Yeah. Yes. And motion path that I'm located to.
Okay. So the oral communication, they do not have this one. Right? Okay. That way, go to the old business.
Then first, there will be library commission 2026 calendar.
Yeah. But I'll introduce this item. So this came up. We had a liaison training maybe about a month ago. And what they would like each commission to do is to come up with a calendar of topics that we'll be addressing next year.
And it is fluid so as things arise, we're able to add new things to the calendar. This isn't something that's set in stone, but things that you're hoping to discuss as a commission can go on a potential calendar and then what will happen is we're looking at this as just a brainstorm, so we don't need to debate anything, we need don't need to really go back and forth about if if we agree with them or not. After this meeting, once we have our great sum of things that you would like to talk about next year, then your chair and Bryant and I will sit down and they will come up with a proposal for you to come to the February commission meeting, a proposed calendar. So that is our hope. So really it's just to brainstorm things you wanna talk about.
It doesn't require any action items. Just kind of throwing out ideas for now.
So that's me what we want to do for the next year. Right?
Yeah.
As a commissioner.
Correct.
I mean
You don't have poet laureate next year, so, like, there's no poet laureate recruitment. So it's an especially good year for us to really think about things that you would like to discuss or things you'd like Bryant to be able to bring to you in terms of information, discussion points. If you recall last year we met with the team commissioner, we met with the senior advisory committee, so those could be possible things that we revisit. There's lots of opportunities to talk about things that we haven't yet and so this is just a great time to brainstorm what you'd like a library commission to talk about next year.
I, you know, thank you. I think this is just an open floor discussion for the topics. Okay? I'm hoping, you know, include myself included, you know, that prior to pandemic, I think commissioner active looking for engaged communities and looking for opportunities to improve the service for the library. And I myself included.
Post the pandemic, I think this kind of activity seems to be more lacking. And so at least for myself, you know, I might want to resume more meetings with Brian and at least identify one area to improve the communications for how the library and the city can serve the community better. And, yeah, I like, you know, prior to just my prior this will be next will be my ACS. So first four years, yes, prior to pandemic. We're looking for the, like, the parking issues.
So that's where the drop off box with the the discussion, the four minutes parking. We, you know, looking for the quiet room or quiet area, so that's the the the street around that. That was part of the commission. And, of course, you know, for this this portion of it, like, more meeting rooms. So it's that's the it's not only myself, it's us, our whole commission.
You know, we worked together to identify the needs and work with library to make it. And I feel like post the pandemic, improve myself and contribute that much. Like, maybe the $500 for the port lawyer is one of my contributions when we review the workbook. You know? At least identify one thing.
So I want to put on the calendar that, yeah, we more proactively engage with the community and find one thing. If one thing, five of us will be five since, that will be a great achievement for 2026.
Okay. So for me, actually, when thing come to my mind, in October, the city have a meeting. So all the commissioner, they they celebrate the mayor. You know? It's the whole commissioner and the whole community, you know, attend the meeting.
For the library commissioner, I am an only person to participate. So I feel probably after the commissioner, so we need to pay more attention to the city meeting, to the city activity. Because when they may call each commissioner for labor, I'm the only person to go to the state to to get the the paper. And all the other commission, they have a whole bunch of group. And I know some of the team is traveling.
It's not here. But I I just want to throw out this this this to get everybody's attention. So please pay attention to pay more attention to stated email activity. And if you want to such a participant, you register their response. Then, you know, more actively engage with the city activity. Yeah. Sure.
Yeah. I was traveling, so I Yeah. I remember. You were asking me if I will be there. I told you no because I I'm out of country Yeah. For that weekend, and this was a prearranged prior to the meeting with the schedule. So
For me, the poet laureate last year, we haven't gotten a chance to actively participate with Poet Laureate in the activities. This year, at least, I'm hoping we could do much more along with Poet Laureate to bring that program as a highlight program for us.
So, yeah, I agree. I hope to see more engagement with community and maybe collaborate with some nonprofit organization in our community and have some new program. So I'm wondering, is it easy to have some because two months ago, the mayor and I will be attended a special the art show in Fremont by the special need kids. And they said they never had such art show in South Bay because they they cannot find a place. So I'm wondering, is it hard is a procedure com complicated to have such an art show in our library?
Is it possible? I have no experience.
Well, yeah, it really depends on what the what they need for the setup because oftentimes, we may not have the equipment to display the way they would like depending on the quantity. But if it is something you're interested in, you're certainly welcome to reach out to me so that we could connect and see if that's most.
So as a local art association chair, we have the required tools or panels and all those things if required to do that those kind of art show.
Yeah. Certainly in collaboration with Yeah. Is more than welcome. Again, it may depend as of what they're looking for, how long, and whether we have the space and ability to accommodate what to
Okay. So if we we want to help, so how to start? So so so just talk to you?
Yeah. You can just reach out to me. Yeah. My email and kind of, you know, we can connect with the the organizers who get interested in Cupertino, and then, you know, we would go down the route trying to figure out what they would need. And, again, it'd then, well, you know, junkies could could bring in, like, sort of display units. But, again, it it may depend on what they're looking for and whether we got the space squirt.
Oh, yeah. I I I know that. Yeah. And this is just an example. Yeah.
As I know, I heard several, yeah, different organizations, they are interested to to hold some programming, but they just don't know how to start. Good to know that. And for the Fort laureate, because this time, the the candidate looks like he's new to this program. He's not very clear about the the history of this program. So we really hope next year, we we can have some chance to, yeah, maybe work together or maybe got more involved in the program and if and check anything new we can do. Yeah. Justice.
Yeah. So I got a couple of. But, yeah, parties. If you can. Can't tell me. Can't pull off. Yeah. Like, fire you up. Any any kind we need to what it is, we'll share that experience. It's we like a citizen spotlight or community spotlight.
I don't know. You know what? They get complicated, but something straightforward. You might want to repair it. The more often this is the supplier we can apply a what we get this particular or talk or the, like, rapid breaks to eat.
That's a that's a community spotlight program or something like that to get get attention to people and that showed each of the cockpit one day. The other parties like, as you said, the commercial break or the you can't try going keys or at commission store, make awareness or or a bid with from a different sources. That's the one thing. We use either commission media or commercial skills, specifically, you get every bag. They might be spoiled, eats at the glass.
Was like the that I use. I don't know if this is the impulse, but if you want to know read press comedy kit, key four, good says it. Category says I keep for more transaction books and more. Elite dates or file it as a cannibal and help pick the community. Average. A case Blackberry. So these are some areas, but I don't know the practicality, and I would say number gal as boys.
Okay. Thank you.
Okay. So let's go to next item. It's report and update.
Could do if that's complete. I'll be sure to project a little bit of agenda. Can you hear me? I'm almost here. And,
Chandra, you should have gotten these app items via email so you could review them.
Yeah. Sure. There you go. So it is our December report. Some shout out in numbers from the month of November.
We had over a 106,000 checkouts, over 16,000 borrowers with almost 70, not quite 70,000 people coming through our gate, 69,710. In total, we offer 67 programs and had room attend had program attendance of a little over 2,000 folks coming in and enjoying our programs. So there's our usual port up of numbers, some photos of events. We have the native American dancer come in for a bit of cultural celebration. We had our annual family game day right before the November break, and also the very cobbler from last year puzzle competition where teams of either families, friends, neighbors, or even strangers who arrive at the program could sign it together to see if they could race and beat other groups to finishing a puzzle on the spot.
And if any cries, of course, was they got So you you win either way, but you get a little bit more bragging rights if you were in place at dot free. Quick snapshot, the December calendar, it is more of a quiet month for us, but we still have plenty of things happening around the holidays. We've got the Jackie the Beanstalk holiday puppet show on December 13 at 10:30. Santa visit that happens every year is gonna be on the thirteenth as well. And, of course, on a very popular New Year's Eve dance party where kids and their family are welcome to come in, you know, decorate, create masks, create hats, and just have a good time celebrating New Year's before well, a little bit before it happens, but they may.
Same thing on the adult side. Unfortunately, some of our programs are so valgular before they even managed to make it to December. They're already filled out. So two of the art programs unfortunately are already full. But Keiko is still hosting her annual poetry of the dark events this Friday at 06:30 if you wanted to join. We have a movie night on on private Pride in on December 16. And, of course, we're bringing back lion lion dancing on Sunday, December 14 for those of you looking to get a little more active with us. And for the teens, I want to highlight the holiday tote bag decorating craft program that they're doing. They are doing it on the oh, I gotta tell them to update that. They can give us the dates.
They are only the first 18 participants to to come in to decorate, that first come or shift.
Okay. So I remember I participated in one program. It's a Chinese book discussion. Do do you still have that program?
Yes. So you may recall that Wingyun are a library re Yeah. Yeah. Reamptile. So we are in the process of trying to find replacement, but it is a skill set that, of course, we need somebody who's able to read and actually lead those programs. I believe it is on pause until we can find someone in the doubts to take hold work. So Okay. I'll see. Point going forward, you don't have anything scheduled yet.
But Okay.
You bet it on the books to recruit our next driver, and that is a priority for us. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Thank you.
What comment? Because our meetings every other month, there was a big event here, the new space opening. The photo is missing here. So maybe next time, you know, you're
Yes. That's true because Yeah. I sent it out in previous report about this.
Those are you you sent out for the
For the, yeah, for the November.
Yeah. Sent out in the November. But I think maybe moving forward, you know, those big event happened during the two week because it's I was here. It was a very exciting, you know.
That we missed when we had the power outage. You can know?
Yep. Even with that, you know, it's the turnout was fantastic. And you look at those kids' eye and how exciting. I wish I had a baby. Hey. Enjoy the space. Even myself enjoy it. It's, so very much. So just the comments, okay,
for your part so that okay. And our hope would be to do at the February meeting or maybe the one after depending on what our schedule looks like a tour up at space. You're hoping to do it tonight, but it just didn't pan out with remote presentation.
Mhmm. It's unknowable. So one thing I did wanna highlight that's happening this Saturday in Community Hall is the Celebrate California Authorsy Bits that is really done by Cheryl, our program to use your stats by SSC. She brought in some great speakers and highlighting three of them, and it is registration only. So if anybody's interested in attending, you do have to register, and we help gladly just let you know.
But I just want to help promote the event that she's running here at g g n w community hall. And, again, just to kinda highlight some of the early voting locations that's taking place at some of our v h s. Gino, again, is not participating this go round. So the closest, sister library you could go then would be Saratoga. That is December 27 through the twenty ninth from ten to 6PM and on election day starting at 7AM to 8PM. If further you proceed, sure. Spell. Of course, we had the ballots outside both the library and the CEU all free e spits. We kind of have another quick, you know, highlight or free sources that we had when you first created your library card. They'll ask you to up for the newsletter.
Maybe you said yes. Maybe you said no. It is all available for archival view on our website. And for anybody who did not sign up for it or perhaps at the different email now, you are you can sign up for the newsletter manually as well. It is bimonthly, so twice a month they send out a notice letting you know what's happening, not only at Cupertino, but throughout our accounting system and all our system branches. So it is the great way to look at what some of our other libraries are doing, and maybe you can come back with me and be like, hey, how come you don't do that? I wanna see that here. And then we'd be able to talk to them again, breathe out over. So again, wanna give the shout out to that me source in case people weren't familiar. The last slide, of course, is the report out on the date that we are closed this month.
So we are closed Christmas day and of course, New Year's day, but we are open until 5PM Christmas Eve and New Year's. So I think where they are during the area does that. And looking to find a book last second, have until five before I shut the building on this. Wow. And that is it. Do you guys have any questions for me? If not, I will hand it over to Marley.
Good evening, commissioners and Lily. I'm Marley Uemura Rochow at Elote County Concord, and it's really great to be back with all of you and to share highlights from our December report. When I was here in October, we had just launched the Imagination Library. You may recall that families with children ages zero to five can sign up to receive a free book every month. I am super pleased to announce that we have over 13,000 children signed up.
The 30,000. Yes. And so thank you so much for continuing to get the word out on Imagination Library. Very pleased about that. And as Bryant shared about the trio of California writers that are coming, I'm not sure who you saw but maybe of interest is that Deborah Major is the former San Francisco Poet Laureate. She teaches poetry, short story writing and composition. So if you're interested in that, be great to for you to sign up to see her. And we are quickly approaching 2026.
Yeah.
Than that. I know. And that leads to Silicon Valley Reads, the county's premier reading event. The theme this year is Bridges to Belonging. It kicks off on Thursday, January 15, just here, at De Anza College.
So please, add that to your calendars. Ansal Pizarra of the Mercury News will be leading the panel featuring authors of three featured books, The Power of Bridging by John A Powell, Main Line Mama by Keanu Keanu, sorry, Harris. And then Unlike the Animals by Annie Hardit. And then of course through, as a previous year, through February and March, we'll be hosting several dozen events across our system. The author talks, engaging workshops, kids crafts, and more.
So please check our website for Silicon Valley Reads at the beginning of the year and a whole host of programs that are coming up. And I would like to announce a new online resource, ConnectWell. So ConnectWell is a comprehensive consumer health information portal available on our twenty four seven online library. ConnectWell selectively curates health content from trusted resources to provide the latest standard of care guidelines and scientific findings on health and wellness. So you have everything from common diseases to surgery and procedures, parenting, healthy lifestyle practices, and then even including recipes.
So please check that out. And then, as I close, as we celebrate the holiday season, Bryant shared in his report that we are looking forward to hosting Jack and the Beanstalk Holiday and Puppet Show here at Cupertino, but as well at Milpitas and Morgan Hill. And if you are interested in seasonal arts and crafts, we do have Creative Bug online. There are over a thousand videos and classes on painting, knitting, crafting, sewing and more. So please keep an eye out on our website as well for other holiday logs and the best of 2025 list. I have come to the end of my report, and I'm happy to answer any questions. And I do wish you and yours a very happy holiday.
Thank you. Thank
you for this.
You too. I
want to make one comment. Actually, I just noticed a new feature in the in the Libby because, you know, after the I learned the power of bridging, and I want to borrow to see it or to read it. And not like many other books, like, you know, several books I want, like, waiting is five weeks. This one gives me a feature, skip the line, but I only got one week to read, which is enough for me to complete the book. So I'm very curious the skip line feature is applied to because this book, it had the author's event coming up, so have a skip line feature or, like, every book had this skip line feature.
I have another book I was on holding. I don't want to read the title, but I will start with one hundred thirty, not at the fifties, and was, like, waiting. You know? Yeah. I placed a hold on November 13, still two more weeks. So I'm like, woah. I got that one. So I want to know more about the future so I can broadcasting to the community. And it's and by the way, I read that book. It's very touching my heart book, how to bridge in, you know, people with different with difference to together. We're all different. Right.
Yeah. So, yeah, he's in.
Johnnie Powell is is nearby. It's on the East Bay Side. He has his, said, know, weathering and belonging to. So that's great that he
Yeah.
I've already read it.
I read it, and Found it very it's really attracted my attention. I just can't wait to, you know, finish it. And so so the skip line, you know, what's how's the algorithm I used in the Libby?
I think we're gonna
need to find out a little bit more about
so I see now which one she's talking about. This was something Cheryl Wells experimented with early this year, that story. It's the I forget the exact term, but it's like a lucky day collection, similar to the bestsellers that we have physically. So the idea behind this is we recognize that with ebooks, oftentimes, there's a lot of demand, but not enough copies to go out. And then, of course, you have to wait three weeks for someone to finish.
So similar to the bestsellers, the titles, and then I'm not sure how the it's selected, but certain titles I would assume that add the most holds on the best sellers, whenever it may be, they pulled out specific titles to have this lucky day feature where you can't place holds on it and it's only good for one week. That's my understand. So every week, someone has to return the book and it's immediately available. And if you have something on hold for a title, and it immediately becomes available and you're not gonna be looking, I think that's when they can trigger a search.
Okay. Okay. So for me, this case, I wasn't on hold. It's just, you know, I will search the book and it's pop out. Okay. You know, there will be a waiting. If you want three weeks, that's the number of weeks you have to wait. This is called a skip of the line. So it's almost I don't have to wait on the line. I can skip of the line, but I only get one week. And I said, perfect.
And I I could certainly check with Cheryl and bring more information back. But I do recall earlier this year, they had started doing that as a way to try to help with the wait times.
Love that feedback, so thank you to share it.
It's you know, happened to be the book, you know, you mentioned and have that's actually caught caught my attention. I want to read those books, and and, you know, it's a skip of the line one week. Wow. Okay. My number one priority this week is complete this book, which is not hard. Anyway, okay. Thank you so much for the yeah.
You love books. Looks like you read a lot of book.
Some. Some. I read some books. Oh, yeah.
Okay. Great. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you for your report. Okay. So next will be staff and the committee's need a report.
Yeah. So that's
me. Before we get into the other events from the recreation department, I just wanted to give you a save the date. We're going to do our poet laureate reception on January 22, which is a Twenty second. Thing. It'll be a community hall. Okay. I'll send you all of the information. I'm still waiting on Thomas to double confirm the date. He already confirmed it once, but I just wanted him to double check the invitation before I sent it out to everybody else. But just so you know, January 22, we'll do our Colette Laureate Perception till say goodbye to Keiko and welcome Thomas.
And what time it will be?
I will need settled on 05:30 to seven.
05:30 to seven. It's it's which day would lead to Thursday. Thursday. Yeah. Okay.
Okay. Other things we have going on, we have Cupertino Cafe, which is Saturday, December 13 from three to 8PM at Community Hall. It's a study hall type type thing or students doing their returns. We have our holiday events coming up. So this Friday, December 5, we have tree lighting at in the Kennedy Center.
The following morning, we have breakfast with Santa for 08:30 to 11:15, also at the community center. We have Santa visits in your home. Those run Friday through Sunday, December and nineteenth to the twenty first. That is a fifteen minute visit in Yerhan. And then our senior center events, we have our holiday sing along, which is Monday, December 15 at the senior center, and the season's greeting cookie box who could border now and then pick them up at the, seniors' dinner on December 19.
Several other facilities will be closed over the break. The Booneland Community Center will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, January 9. The senior center will be closed Monday, December 22 through Thursday, January 1. The sports center will be closed December and December 31 and January 1. And then the Black Great Farm Golf Course is closed on December 24. Okay.
Thank you, Thank you. Okay. So I believe last May, you know, come to me if you attend. Right? Okay. Thank you. Thank you. And it. Yeah.
Yeah. And so in the media, the several yeah. Yeah. Yeah. How to make the stronger communication and build a open channel between the different commissions and between commissions and the council members to to make it more open.
Yeah. People are discussing that. I hope next year, we can have some, yeah, some method to build up some better channel for communication. And I reported the details of selection of the new Yeah. I'm not sure in last meeting if anyone put mayor about that. And the the mayor is really yeah. She she's excited. I want to meet the new he yeah. She she said that he she she can see He's very full of energy, different from the previous. Well, yeah, he's really active.
Yeah. So we're just looking forward. What will if there's anything new next year. And I talked about the puzzle hunt and asked if it's is it possible next year we'll have this program back? But it seems it depends on the organization who work on it.
And they had a presentation at city council. Yeah. So next year, in May, it depends on on them if they will come back. And there's oh, and we we announced the the flyer war in Frank Hall library. So because during pandemic, people yeah.
For organization, they don't have chance to display their flyers or even some other commission. They hold some city event. The yeah. So in the meeting, we just share this information. So if there's any city event or maybe some community event, they can contact, yeah, library to see if they can put flyer over there.
So put flyer, it's every organization can put flyer in the library.
You you act it has to be something that is a new nonprofit organization, so it can't be a commercial business. Mhmm. And generally speaking, we again, because of the limited space and the amount of, you know, flyers that we get, well, there shouldn't priority. Obviously, city announcements, they shouldn't priority anything that it's kind of a free will get priority or something that may be paid. But, yeah, it really kind of the best.
So can we, for example, as a nonprofit organization, can we just put our flyer in there or we have to go through it?
It has to be approved. And you'll see that each of them is actually scanned for the day or when it was approved. Ah, okay. And we tried to be fair about it. But again, depending on the volume, we may not keep something up the entire time for the dates because, again, we're just getting so many other, you know, events that would try to help promote. But we do get people curious to at least forfeit.
So what happen if they don't know this? They just put the flyer in there?
Every morning, we have somebody sweep through. Usually, there's no space. They would have had to rip someone else's flyer off to do it. So, generally, we sweep every morning. Anything that's not authorized will be removed. What is something bad would normally have been allowed or not just because we want people to actually bring it to the attention of staff. Say with the giveaway area, we try to patrol. I get that one we're a little bit more lenient on just because, you know, I get sometimes people would just drop off a member of Flash or things that are, you know, appropriate that we would let it go. But again, you'll see people try to advertise their junior business or, like, hey. Grand opening of my business here. That that's not that's not some shit.
So who they should contact? Because they just contact today.
They could just drop if they have, like, a physical flyer or, like, giveaways, they could just drop it off at the front Trippuccino manager account on our website. Will just email me a flyer. We'll print out a courtesy copy for people who request that way, but we do not print flyers for people if they want handouts. That, they have to provide us with. Oh, yes. At least one courtesy per nap if it is something you pick.
So let's say if a flyer is approved for at least how many days they will I mean, that will be
productive. It could be kinda difficult to say because sometimes someone will, you know I've had people go, I've got events in June. Can you cook us up now? It's like the
very true.
So it really depends. And, during certain periods, you may get a higher volume. And again, we try to be fair and give people a chance to place their item off. But there may be multiple events happening around the same time. So someone might you've got four days on there. Someone else is now on, and they get two or three days because of coming in.
Yeah. At least I mean, at least they'll that would be up for two days.
Yeah. Again, we try to be fair about it, and that's why we have the marked date of when it was approved so that when we're making those judgments that, oh, we've got more incoming gooey poll while you've had five days. So sorry. You're coming out. Yeah. K.
So so before Thanksgiving, we we had a teens program. Cooper teens got labs at the community hall. Yeah. That's one of the mayor's project this year. So, Ryan, just help us to post it.
Hey. And you can email it to see you manage your account, my email if you have it, or, again, folks are welcome to drop it off at the accounts desk. And, again, the only ones you have to provide is if you wanna give away, like, multiple flash people to take that. We do not.
Thank thank you for clarifying. Thank you. Okay. So the next one will be future agenda citing.
What question? When should when when will be the be coming to the meeting?
I will say meeting. Our whole would be February, but it will also depend on how heavy that agenda is. Okay. So in a perfect world, it would be February.
Fuck. Yeah.
Also, it would depend on his availability, and I
have not checked that yet.
And at that time, he will be bringing the like, what he's gonna do for the whole year?
That's what we'll ask him is a general idea of what he's planning to do. In the past, it sounds like poet laureate subcommittees have also been in touch with the folk laureate throughout the year to, you know, weigh in on Danyos, help promote or help with programs that they're, you know, need for crowd control or things like that during during the actual event. So that's another possibility too. We can we can touch base with him to find out what support he's looking for. Fantastic.
So if in February, he attended the meeting, then he will provide the plan, you know, the for the whole year. Right?
That is our hope. Yes.
Okay. So are we going to communicate our city will communicate with him so he know he will bring some plan on the table?
Well, we could do two different things. We could instead of inviting him to come to the first meeting, you could do a brainstorm, and you can come up with ideas for him, and then you can, you know, have him send them to him, and then he can come in. Alright. Then that goes to April
Yeah.
To come. Or you would just have a conversation with him when he's here, and if you have ideas, you know, we could throw those out. Probably availability. Yeah.
Probably in the January 22 when in the, you know, welcome ceremony, we can stop for this. Right?
Yeah. You should. I'm not. Okay.
Okay. That'd be great. Yeah.
So my interest is still about the the art show for nonprofit organization, how to and, yeah, how to how to clarify the the process. Is it? Should it be put in any meeting agenda, or I just talk to Right.
You can just talk. Right. Yeah.
And nothing related to public meeting. Just want to make sure.
So, Brian, what question? So you just talk about the the ladies retired, so then they change the book discussion just now is paused. Right? So my question is the people lead this program must be the work in the library. Right?
Yes. They do have to be librarians in them because it is considered a program. And, again, they would need an MLIS degree from, you know, master's degree. So it's it's a very limited pool of people we can recruit from. And our hope is maybe we can, you know, tap the talents of others, maybe running Chinese school clubs at other one of our sister branches. But, again, it's it's a lot of time commitment and travel, so we don't we don't quite have an answer yet. But, again, trying to find someone who is fluent in Mandarin, both speaking and reading, is a high priority for us, especially if you see. So we will try our best to see what we can do.
Okay. Thank you. I because I think that's a really good program. I participate once, and there are a lot of people. You know? They only you know? They read book for one month, so they have on cell phone, you know, idea then cut they discuss. I think it's really good. I hope that we will be back.
Yes. Taking a program that builds very strong and unique buzz.
Yeah. Thank you. So anything else? Okay. So I think we are done today. Yeah.
