Huh? There's no sign. There's no one that sign. Oh, okay. That's what I said. I said, where's the sign? Was it a sign that said didn't talk? Okay, missed that one. Okay, since no one has signed at this time, we'll go to item number one, approve amendments, regular session, April 6, 2026. What's your pleasure? Make a motion we approve. Second, please. Okay, it's been moved and second. All in favor? Motion carries. brings us to item number two, police department manpower and criminal incident report for March 2026.

3:49 – 5:050

Good evening, mayor, council, city administrator. The police department's manpower and criminal activity report for March of 2026. had a total of 16 officers, worked 2,766 hours, responded to 466 calls for service, investigated 16 traffic accidents, made 38 arrest, issued 353 traffic citations, completed 66 reports, uh responded to 22 alarm calls, 18 of those 22 were false alarm. Uh below you'll see a breakdown of our other criminal incident. Also wanted to update. I'm sure everybody heard or got word about the issue yesterday evening. Subject riding around town squirting our citizens with what everybody believed to be water. Um that's what we pretty much determined. But uh we come in this morning. Uh Lieutenant Bell, uh she started investigating it, got right on it. uh just before lunch, she was able to identify all the suspects before male juveniles uh from another city um just riding around being mischievous.

5:03 – 5:510

Uh all their parents have been notified and contacted and we're we're going to follow through with that. But um no one was injured in that, but just kind of uncomfortable feeling not knowing what you're being sprayed with. So kudos to Lieutenant Bell. She really she got on that first thing this morning. And uh also u we responded this morning. We've had about eight vehicle burglary calls. Um they were able to get some evidence from some of those vehicles. So they're working on processing that and going to get some of that to the lab and uh working on reviewing video surveillance to try to nab those suspects. So, uh, that that one's still under investigation as well. So,

5:49 – 6:030

what was that out by me? Uh, so most of them, well, all of them really were between, uh, East Golad, um, in Buoie, and then there was one on the South Fifth Street area.

6:01 – 6:410

So, uh, also, I know most of y'all already know we, uh, we lost Lieutenant Lonnie Lum two weeks ago now. Um he was with the department for a little over 20 years. Um the family will be having a memorial service kind of a party in his his honor at their residence this weekend. Uh his wishes were to not have a service. Uh he didn't want uh people crying and and mourning over him. He just he just wanted to have a celebration. So um keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you. Thank y'all. Good job. Thank you.

6:46 – 7:290

That brings us to item number three, fire department monthly activity status report for March 2026. Good evening, mayor, council members. For the month of uh March, we had a total of 43 calls, 30 of those being in the city and 13 in our county response area uh area. There was no structure fires inside the city limits and we assisted another agency uh with one of the calls out in the county. There's a further breakdown in front of you. If y'all have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them for you. Well, that was pretty good because we had a little dry spell in there. Yes. And we got some much much needed rain. So, yeah,

7:25 – 8:100

it slowed us down and I'm not mad at it. All right. Great. Thank you. Thank you. Okay, that bring us to item number four. Consider and approve a carnival surface permit application from Magic Dreams Entertainment LLC to be held on April the 21st through the 26, 2026 at the Crockett Civic Center. Mayor Council, I have the license in front of you. It's also been reviewed by the police department and fire department, which is required by our application process, and they both um agree to the uh the carnival.

8:10 – 8:380

I make a motion we approve the application. A second. Okay, it's been moved and second. All in favor? Motion carries. Brings us to item number five. Consider and approve a resolution of the city council of Crockett, Texas, authorizing city representatives in matters pertaining to the city's participation in the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program.

8:35 – 9:360

Mayor and Council, this resolution um is requested by CDBG. This is the program that um we brought before y'all before to approve to apply for. But in order to sign the application and all the documents um this resolution is required. any I make a motion that we accept the resolution uh accept um the decisions being made by the executive the executive decisions being made by uh the city manager, the mayor, and the um secretary requesting that all matters be brought back to the council to make executive decisions. That's what this resolution is for is for being able to sign the application that y'all already approved.

9:36 – 10:200

What what else any other documents after then will we be will any other application be brought back before us before you you got a motion? I don't think we can talk about it unless a second's been made. Do we have a second? Okay. Motion dies for lack of a second. I make a motion we approve the resolution as it stands. I second. Okay, it's been moved and second. All in favor? I um No question. No, no question. No discussion. It was moved and second or did you have no discussion? Yeah, the discussion. Yes, ma'am.

10:19 – 11:040

I thought discussion. Okay. Uh that's what I was asking asking a few minutes ago about. So any other documents that are brought with with us giving you permission to sign and go go forward with the grant any any other uh executive decisions that are being made are you bringing back bringing them back to there are no executive decisions that's just pertaining to this there's no executive decisions to be made if the grants if the grant scope um changes or the grant budget changes or any of those things then for sure we would bring it back to you bring back and notify council and then council that's required that's required by law. So I will and the council makes the final decision.

11:02 – 11:450

So what's we were voting over what was in this resolution as standard. Okay. Um any other question? We've been moved and second and ready for the vote. All in favor? Motion carries.
