I'm out of paper. Got to go get another legal pad. Let's do that. Thank you. Okay. Okay. March 16.

3:00 – 3:190

I call the meeting to order. Linda, you have a roll call. Mayor Crane here. Council member Copenha here. Posser here, Smith here, Randles here, and Attorney Pal here. Are there any additions or corrections to the minutes?

3:15 – 4:000

Minutes stand approved. Casey, we have course reminder next Wednesday the 15th April. Okay, Greg,

3:56 – 4:270

just on this the boiler stuff, I did do some research today and come up with possibility way we can do it in the house as far as doing the test to get the boiler. do a little more research, but I found an EPA, an approved EPA method for the one that's under effect now will be tomorrow at 9:00.

4:24 – 5:090

Whereas if we could do it in house, I could have started because this was like the perfect storm and not being able to get it done in a good amount good time. But uh whereas if I can do it in house, I could do it, you know, 12 12 to 24 hours after we got the town back in water. So that's great to know. It would have been better to know three days days ago. We talked about it's like, okay, I want to start making some calls. Okay. because I mean we've never had this set of circumstances before on a on a Friday on a holiday on a you know on a holiday.

5:05 – 5:240

Yeah. So anyway, I'll uh it looks like I USA Blue Book can get this stuff for me. Do like 20 tests for 100 bucks. So that's the case and it's approved method. I want to go ahead and get it. That would be fine. Okay. Is that what you had? Yeah.

5:22 – 6:010

Okay. Uh just we're starting a class right now and trying to bring in some new recruits. Uh a few people should be able to get recruited, get started with that. That's going to help a lot. Um I mean obviously we're still in the same dilemma of people volunteering their time. You know, being a firefighter is a battle right now, but we got a couple. And then um after a lengthy discussion with the truck, we're putting them on hold right now and doing some more research and have some numbers for you guys maybe. Okay.

6:04 – 6:510

Handed out a copy um of our first quarter report uh gave you an overview copy of the training facility. Uh few things we're wanting last um that we could see if we could do up there. One of them is um I got highlighted a would be we want to add another additional 8 foot um wide 40 40ft long piece of concrete 6 in deep. Uh mainly that's because that's where we clean out our ash and stuff.

6:47 – 7:100

Um is it going right onto the ground like another p of there? Um and the the B is we would like to move our other conics trailer, our box. It's over on the south end over by the

7:08 – 7:530

the electric building. We'd like to move it over to the tower for for storage reasons. The OSB, the pallets and straw, uh, keep them dry. And then the C down there is if we want to like to make a containment area for ashes or spills and stuff, 10 by 10 area roughly. That could change. But we got to have a place to put put all that out after we're cleaning out to keep sparks and stuff before get the fire.

7:52 – 8:180

Sure. Um just like to have some permission if we can start working on doing some of that work and be all right with that spot over. I guess we can we look at that. We'll give it a little time and let you know here. Yeah, I do have it marked off. Okay, let let us look at it and

8:22 – 8:380

you guys. Looks like medists are about like they usually are.

8:44 – 8:590

Thank you. On the interstate that's falling under a When when you have a call on the inter showing up in your stats,

8:56 – 9:440

it depends on what it is. If it's a like a car accident, it'll fall up under that. If it's a car fire, it will fall under a fire. If it's when you do mutual aid with Beersburg because it's in that in between area on the interstate, then that would work falling mutual aid or we go across the river into county and help on that. Okay. Are there actually calls that are made that you don't respond to? Somebody asked me about the percentage of be to be called out.

9:42 – 10:230

Uhhuh. And not respond to for some some reason. Typically medical. A lot of times they'll tag they'll they'll tone us out for a medical call and if I don't have staff available then we They'll tell us, but then we don't we don't have anybody to respond. We don't respond. Is that why the 54%. Uh I mean the 54% that's those are actual calls. The 41 calls that's actual ones we went on. Now that number can be probably a lot higher because we've been called two medical calls that nobody's been available to go on.

10:20 – 11:040

Gotcha. So that that's where I explained it, you know, last year was is you were questioning on where we was. If we were to actually record all of our calls, then that would reflect the higher number. But we if we don't go in we don't call we don't report it. Right. Correct. I was asked that I didn't know how to respond. So Right. That also takes special staff. That's not just any firefighter. Right. It does. I mean they got to be a minimum of you know first responder preferably an EMT. Yeah. So, and that's a state that's a state rule if we don't have anybody available to us. That's out of our control. That is actually a state rule,

11:04 – 11:290

right? Because we are certified to state basically life support transport provider. Gotcha. Which case still respond. No, I was just asking if coming and the reason for that.

11:26 – 13:250

Thank you. So each one of you guys these are things I brought up in the past for grants and everything for and there's nothing out there. The problem is we've waited so long now where you got issues. Um first one is not really a major issue but it is we need to update our rifles. Um we have four rifles for six officers. We really need vehicle be prepared with rifles. The other issues that we have four rifles four different complete rifles with the way things are going like we do the trainings and IA We all should be trained on basically one rifle. Something happens in the field, I drop mine, I pick up another set. We all be training on exact same rifle. So, do the rifles themselves for six rifles be $5,310 um to outfit them basically with the optics slings and then suppressors on those we 10,200. Now, we do have this in our budget for fire our firearms budget for this year. I mean it does do over a little bit but I can make up our contribution to cover that cost. So I definitely asking for that if possible. The other issue is our computers in our cars. We bought the for get us started

13:22 – 14:330

on computers and our systems. We were probably about five to six years old on those and those things were already six years old. We got them. They're failing terribly. There's no more updates on them that we can do for them. Um, but the quote that I got you for those, those are these are tough books. What we have actually right now is just laptops you can buy from any place really, you know, and they're just not built to hold up for the wear and tear that we have. Um, so the Dell Pros that we're looking at aren't the tough books. They're $17,92128 for six of them. What the cost, a lot of the extra cost is of the docking stations that we have to put into these tough books. The nice thing is about the tough books with the docking station is in the heat of the summer, the cold of the winter, we can undock these computers, bring them in, bring them out, bring them into our houses, keep them out of the weather. That way our cars ain't running 24/7 trying to keep things cool because things do overheat. install.

14:31 – 15:120

Yeah, the only thing that we have to do is have them take the stuff computers and download system and we have to have somebody do that. Those are our livelihoods in their cars. They give us the calls. They give us our mappings officer gets on a call on a traffic stop and there's a warrant alerts everybody. I mean that is literally our lifeline in our vehicles to get those and the total price on that would be $23,9713 that's with um the installation of the computers which is the uploads and changing everything over

15:100

any other lensure fees or are they all transferable from

15:15 – 17:140

they're all transferable from the others I mean that's for mapping or just database and everything that goes The third thing that we're having, which I brought this up few years back, um our tasers, they're 15 years old. They're failing. Um and they're going to be discontinued in the house year or two. We won't know parts. So talked with Axon sixers is $21,9. Only thing I can tell you about these these are lifetime batteries. These are chargeable. Not we don't have to replace the batteries at $100 battery cost. Um they do have a plan. Um they actually have a whole training thing that I didn't even look at that but you guys want to look at the bottom right hand corner with the the VR training which is actually big three big training on deals. It's actually pretty good training honestly for the tasers. Um also deals with mental health issues. It's all there should be separate trainings on that, but my gosh, we need $42,900 for that. Um, from that whole system, but they do have a billing schedule. It's broke down in a fiveyear plan. Um, but it's also $8,585.91 per year for five years. With that plan though, they will cover cost. Like we have an issue with our tasers, they will automatically fix them. Um, they like issue a taser. cartridges on them. Um, that's I think that's really too high. But if we just buy them plain outright, the tasers and these are the taser 10. These actually have 10 shots in each taser.

17:11 – 17:540

Um, it's $21,960. But even though we issue these tasers, I will have to somebody or send somebody to a master instructor class which will become a master instructor on the taser team and then they come back in our trainers. So like Scott's a trainer sets a trainer or you don't have to have be a trainer to go with these classes to train other departments but we have to do that before we take put them on the road. You have enough in your budget then for the uh SBRS, the rifles. Yes, sir. And with the accessories?

17:53 – 18:230

Yes, sir. And we have Yes, we can cover that. I mean, we got 15,000 in the firearms budget and then I like I said out of the re the other $300 $100 $30. What do you think's more important right now, the radios or the tasers?

18:23 – 19:070

Computers or tasers right now? Yeah, like I said, the computers, those are major. Um, like I said, we still got time um to maybe get through the rest of the year. We'll do a little bit of cost because I'm going to have to replace the batteries and the heads, but we can probably make it through the rest of the year on that with the tasers. The tasers, but you know, his price I don't know that price won't stay the same as anything else. But like I said, those computers are our livelihood. So, absolutely. Computers. We've got enough money on that. Yeah. Yeah. That's probably more important.

19:08 – 19:410

If we could wait three or four months on the tasers, it'd be good. Okay. I mean, you want me to bring that back up to you in here in a few months then? Yeah, that'd be better. Okay. Then I'll just get in there. I mean, it's only good for 31 days when they close. So, so what you gave us for the tapers, it's one one option versus the other, one column versus right. Correct. Okay. And the right hand is if you could do a full certification. Yes. Okay.

19:39 – 20:240

Even rifles, even rifles, we got all of us kind of get together um and retrain on those. And along with the rifles too, we would try to give advice. Oh no don't want our rifles to as of training deal but um local one would buy them possibly back from us on each one and then they buy them back then just put money back into the budget but I haven't actually took them in to see what they're valued at right now like I said we can't even I don't want to give stuff right now that we actually do have until trained on

20:23 – 20:370

you're able to sell the current is that stuff that can go back into the firearms budget chasers qualifying. Okay, we can do that and that way.

20:35 – 21:160

So like I said we can set or we will get money back on that one way or another. My question is it's a big hit all at once for each thing. Is there a way like in the future we can figure out I'm trying I'm trying to feel it and just everything's starting to Yeah. Well, that's

21:14 – 21:550

I don't even want to talk about the other things that we got going on right now that I'm working on, but just equipment's old and has to be and I've looked at every aspect of right like like we did with the vehicles, things like that. Put us on a rotation schedule so we know what's coming down the pike. So, it's not just a hit all at once to replace everything. So, that's that's just what I'm asking. Oh, no. Yeah, definitely 15 years. Yeah, we do have enough money in the budget for for the computers and the rifles. I thought you were good.

21:53 – 22:250

Well, and and if they have the money in the budget to pay for the rifles, that's what I mean. But it's in their budget. Yeah. Then I I make a motion to go ahead and approve that. Rifles. For the rifles. Randy, yes. Brad, yes. Chad, yes. Paul, yes. Motion is approved for the rifles. I would then also make a motion to approve the purchase of

22:29 – 23:080

I second it. Okay. Paul, yes. Chad, yes. Yes. Motion passes for the computers. was talking about them in three or four months. We have you know we'll have more money. Okay. Thank you. Scott, did you have Brett? I was just inquiring about the annexation. If you're going to be annexed, the golf course is not going to be annexed.

23:08 – 23:520

The lot No, nobody mentioned that. I don't know who mentioned it to you. It has never been mentioned. Not at all. Absolutely not. Carol, about the place behind the cemetery. It is. Yes. Or what? Pardon me. Not as tip, I believe. I don't know why. This is just annexation. You're talking We're just talking about annexation. And what's the latest up on that OSF?

23:48 – 24:320

Um there it's we're waiting on them. Yeah, they're still talking about it. They want to come over. We want them to come over. So, one of their people left, so they had to regroup, start over. Don, you have anything? Larry, Sally, um, can you get some clarification on what actually happened on Friday with the with the water

24:27 – 25:120

joint joint board board putting the the uh fiber optic cable in. They board into an 8 inch water mane um at the intersection under the state highway at the intersection of Casey's and McDonald's. And that's that's what happened. We had to we had to end up shutting shutting it off until we could get find the valves the correct valves because we were losing so much water we couldn't we couldn't begin to dig it up. So question one is were the water lines not marked?

25:10 – 25:470

Hey see we don't tell them depths. We don't know the depths of what the water lines were. And this one was coming up and they hit it in between 245s that were raising it higher in the ground from where it was deeper. And that's where they hit it at. It had a wire with it. We marked it and they hit it because they don't find the depths and they hit it. Okay. So, what about um why was the whole town shut off? The our shut off

25:45 – 26:250

we couldn't we couldn't find get water in the valve box we needed. We didn't know where it was until the water stopped running over the top of it to get down to it. Then we isolated from there to Johnson Street and that's when the wells turned back on and power opened back up. Yeah. When we found out the the valve, when we got to the right valve, then when the water receded, then we were able to turn it back on earlier than we presumed. Okay. Can you explain more about the boil order? Um,

26:22 – 27:050

the state requires when you lose pressure and you have zero pressure that you have to be on a boil order for 24 hour. I mean, till you have a 24-hour test. It was We get it tested at Montgomery County Health Department because Aqua and Danville no longer tests and they work. It was a holiday. They were off. They don't work Saturdays or Sundays. So, that's why Greg has checked into getting a test where we can test it in the future. I could I couldn't hear him very well. Yeah.

27:02 – 27:470

Something about um Can you just briefly explain what he explained? I just did. Well, well, we have when we lose pressure, we have to have a test. Oh, I know. But there was the time reference is what I missed on. Um Friday when the when it occurred, Friday was a holiday. They weren't working at the Montgomery County Health Department. Saturday was a hol Saturday and Sunday. They don't work. So, we took it in at 9:00 this morning. It's a 24-hour test. So, that's what you're waiting on.

27:46 – 28:130

Yes. So, by I didn't understand what he meant by inhouse. Yeah. I'm working on a way of doing it. We don't have to go to McGomery County and I can do it here, which means I can start as the process. Got it. Yeah, if he would have been able to do that, then we could have started one on Friday and probably had it cleared by Saturday. So

28:10 – 28:530

there's a question also on any boil order and I've heard and I I don't understand it entirely but sometimes a boil order you cannot even after you boil it you cannot drink it or use it for cooking because as you boil that and the steam rises it concentrates what's left in the pan and it's certain chemicals or elements and that kind of stuff that would be on chemicals but bacterial organic bacterial out it kills all that just like but you're right I mean if you boil something that's got chemicals in it all you're doing is concentrating

28:50 – 29:160

and we did have chlorine you know as soon as we turned it back on we had chlorine pumping into the line so yeah I feel confident we'll probably get a good test back in the morning Hi. help you. My name is Jessica Anderson and um I got a little

29:22 – 30:020

Oh, I I had talked to Jess Jesse Jess uh earlier uh this afternoon and she uh gave me some ideas on a u cleanup for the park uh garden. Sorry. um and is willing to get people to help her and uh explain that she would do it for free if we would take care of doing some new plants, some different flowers. She's this is a really nice uh printout um of what she what's the possibilities that she wants to do.

29:59 – 30:430

Um so do you you want to explain a little bit? Um I organize a lot of activities for homeschool kids in the area and so we always do something for Earth Day and we spend a lot of time as a group at this park. Um in fact one year we thought let's try a different park in the region every week and everybody settled on this park for a lot of reasons. So we have you know kids with different accessibility needs and and that park is the one that they always want to come to. So, I think we could get a good from them to help clear the bed, but I thought we'd extend it to after school hours, too, so the whole community can be involved.

30:41 – 31:230

Um, and then what I've placed in the mock up here, it's just some brand. It sort of features some of the ones that got planted last year, like the cone flower. Um, it would be like aimed at being pollinator friendly, friendly. And I just put together I mean, I apologize for the italics. It said it update a file type and change to that. Um, so just for like a starter refresh plant by I think I'd probably try and get them discounted like at the Amish auction and we have um a greenhouse so I could grow them out there and get them a little bigger before we put them down.

31:20 – 31:570

I think one thing and I'm I apologize to interrupt. If you look at this you you see that you can see over these plants and Parents were not liking that at all. We've had a lot of complaints because of that because their kid would get lost in in it. Yeah. And the bees. The bees were so bad. They were getting stung. That was probably one of the major complaints that we had. We did call termin. And they come down and they're boring into the sand.

31:54 – 32:110

Yeah. But and the way she explained it, which is which is really nice, uh the females will sting you, but the males won't. So, what are you what are you going to do? Take out all the females because they won't sting you. But yeah, they did have a problem with the bees as well.

32:10 – 33:260

Well, and I think it's important to start um with a really thorough clean out. It will of course protect the plants that were placed on purpose, but last year I worked a little bit with Hannah on it. And last year I went out because we did have some highly toxic invasives that were in there. So, one was file parsley, which actually modifies your DNA when your staff gets on you. Like, be careful, it looks like dill, where the sun can penetrate all the way into the dermis, so you can get these terrible blisters. Uh, we also have established perennials now of poison hemlock, which there's no antidote for, and it causes respiratory failure. go take those out with gloves on and just properly. Um, but then when you do these types of plantings with perennials, you just make sure that you get good weed barrier down so that it's something that can kind of mound over the years without always having to go gut it and start over. So, it would mean a lot to us to be involved in it. Um, I'm a local flower farmer, so I'm happy to answer any depth of level questions on

33:24 – 33:560

we are still within the window that we're required to follow the ground. What were those protected plants called? What were what were those protected plants that that were down there? We couldn't we couldn't take them out. What' you call native? Native. That's the word I couldn't think of. No, it's been eight years. has been DNR as we can do whatever we want. Yeah. Yeah.

33:54 – 34:250

Yeah. I was even thinking like in the sandy area if we had like some succulent type of plants that sort of like wouldn't be sad if they got trampled on the sand under foot, you know, and have some pathway to kind of cut through and make it as kid friendly as we can. Do we still have some sort of budget for maybe helping her out with the flowers? Oh, yeah. With some that you need to purchase and you don't have on your own. Yeah. Yeah. Good.

34:22 – 35:020

I put I put together three tiers. And I think that we could build it in a way that if we're focusing on like sensory plants or pollinators or even some native plant sections and we could be eligible for grant support in the future if we wanted to expand what we had already. We would be easily option two we could do. Okay, great. Yeah, I think that's another thing. Well, what would my next step for y'all today? I was going to say Kathy's not here, but she's over at the park. Yeah, so she's sick tonight, but I'm sure she'd be in favor of

34:58 – 35:310

Yeah, you know, and you could remove, you know. Okay, so I'll start with the Yeah, I have bags there. You know, we can put stuff in the bags and then the city guys will come and pick them up. Nice. Yes. Y Thank you,

35:32 – 36:170

sir. Are you still Are you still waiting on us to call you into action? Well, it's uh it's simple thing is I had during all that cold weather, the inlet water pipe to my place broke. The guy uh I think his name is Casey Smith. I know him. prefix on it. He's sent for me to find out what office I need to go to and tell them to readjust my water. So, who who's that?

36:17 – 36:370

Right here. Okay. Number two, probably your sewer bill, your wastewater bill. What's your address? 404 Lewis Lane. got these. He took pictures. Oh, yes.

36:43 – 37:280

What's your name, sir? Bert was leaking. Pardon? Sunny. Sunny Bert. Yeah. Sunny Bert. Sunny Bert. Kick her up on that part of Washington. I didn't know bring your bill and and write a letter what happened and bring it to the office and then we'll present it at the next meeting

37:27 – 37:530

over there. Uhhuh. When you pay your bill. Yep. That's all you got to do, Sunny. Okay. Thank you, Jana, John, Tiff, y'all. all three together or do you have anything? I know.

37:56 – 38:400

We weren't going to annex you in like I'm worried we're not going to annex right here in a minute. We have no no I we have no you know no intention. Okay. No, go ahead. I'd kind of like to be kept up to date directly behind. Absolutely. Just we would definitely, you know, have no intention right now of anything. So, but we will definitely let you know.

38:37 – 39:190

Talking about the marathon with us. Yes. um where you're talking about taking the water to the marathon would cut across the driveway and something we were conflicted about too. It'll it'll be where you don't even know it. Well, the only way to get across there is to go across our driveway. Cut bore under it. Bore under it. You don't even know it. Would you need permission from that? Your service won't be bothered. But you need permission if it's belongs to somebody else. the drive, right? It It belongs to John Jana. Yeah. So, it's an

39:16 – 39:340

effort. Yep. Very careful.

39:38 – 40:190

Yep. So, are are you saying that they need that you need their permission to go through there? The Marathon will Yeah. If the Marathon has a septic system now, that's that's bad. And they have to have their septic tank pumped out. So they want water and sewer. If they don't want it, then you know it doesn't matter. You're talking about marathon. The marathon because I'm pretty sure they don't want it. No. And he came to us before the meeting and said that his intention was to never annex us again. No.

40:16 – 40:590

Nobody said said that you would be or the houses out there on String Town Road. Nobody said we wouldn't either. So, you know, it goes both way better. So, so you're talking about the 26 acres. It'll be annexed north of them. It'll be annexed. He's saying just the field. They want to be essentially what's saying it will be. Do we have to vote on that? Okay. Oh, yeah. That's the way. Well, you know, I know the way things are done. It's got No, it's got to be present. It's got to be presented and then for a month and Shelton fireworks would like to be also.

40:59 – 41:400

Yeah. And they're across on the other side. So, yeah, we'll be going down both sides, but there's still an permission to go through and under their their easement, their road under is. So, I guess what I'm saying here is, don't you need their permission to go? We're not going through it yet. Okay. All right. We're not going through it. They just came. I just think they need some u you know, they just came to ask a question. Okay. Correct. Just the plans on what's going to happen if it affects our property. I don't think so. Yeah.

41:38 – 42:230

I'm just I wasn't clear and I wasn't sure if they by the looks on their faces. I didn't think they were clear with the marathon. have to come from us to run. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. So, if you don't go that way, do you is there another option, another way to go around? Um, String Town Road. Oh, okay. Yeah. Streamtown Road on the west side or the east side? West side. The marathon. Okay. No, I met two uh Shelton. Shelton's. They're on the That'll be on the west side till we go to the east side.

42:20 – 43:050

Okay. Don't talk to me like I'm east. That's not That's not all determined yet. That's what's got Okay. Okay. I I'm not trying to Yeah. Well, they're kind of getting a card ahead of course. Okay. We We'll have plenty of time. Nobody's even said anything about months from that stage. Okay. I know they Okay. All the digital. Thank you, Randy. Yeah. Did you have anything else to As long as what you're saying right now is what's going to happen. Okay. Candy, do you have anything? Okay, girls. Sir, nothing. Okay,

43:06 – 43:510

I'm asking about the basketball courts at the park. Uhhuh. Because they are very dangerous. And it doesn't even take a rain. You can't. And I know this has been discussed multiple times that at one point in time you were going to put down non-skid surface on the new courts. What was that? What was that going to be? I think we talked about some sealer with a sand sealer. Well, they're dangerous. I mean, right now there's puddles of water standing, you know, after rains. I have pictures I can show. Oh, no. No. And it's going it's going to rain as an outdoor basketball court. But it also should drain. It's an outdoor basketball.

43:51 – 44:360

Uhhuh. It doesn't. I mean, there's And that's dozens of puddles on it. That's why we leave a squeegee up there. And all right, a lot of times what wasn't there anything in the grant to the park that we that was supposed to refinish that or or at least finish it the surface. I mean that's a pretty slick surface for for an outdoor court. We were going to paint it. That's that's what it was. Yeah. Put lines on it. Paint murals on it and the tip new arts federation came to us and I said yes, we would be very interested in that. change the texture of it. You think probably make it even worse. You think it'd make it worse?

44:34 – 45:120

I don't think it can get much more probably. I thought it was a rubberized paint that they were going to use and I think that would make it better. When are they going to come if it rains? I mean, I'm I don't blame them, but this this is coming from 12 a group of 12 and 13 year olds two weeks ago mentioned this to me. I don't know. I didn't even I didn't even notice other than at these meetings when I I recall a couple years ago Todd was still on the council at that time. Yeah.

45:10 – 45:540

Talking about the problem and it's still a problem just like the volleyball courts that have never been finished. When are those the volleyball courts were finished? What was not finished about it? How about the road that's supposed to Well, we weren't gonna put the road back. Oh, yeah. Since when? Huh? Well, they decided they didn't want to. Who decided that? I I don't know. But they said, "We're not going to put us back because it creates a danger." How so? Both cars come their kids are on the volleyball court. Well, who decided that? I mean that was the plan was to continue tear out the existing loop. Yeah. Put the volleyball court in.

45:54 – 46:380

Yeah. And then place Yeah. So who made that decision? I don't know plan. I think the park board at that time the loop the loop was not putting the loop back in was not Well, there still needs to be some work done there. Whether the road gets finished or not. Have you been down there lately and seen? I mean, it's watching out on the southwest corner. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But anyway, the the the basketball courts need to be addressed before somebody gets hurt. Somebody's going to get hurt.

46:35 – 47:140

The grant has not been yet approved. No. No. Not the grant. We're not the grand for that'll that'll that'll resurface. That is not going to fix that problem. I mean, I don't know who who paid the contract to record those things to begin with. What would you pay? What would you do? I don't know because I was just notified about this by these kids two weeks ago. So, I went and took a look at it, some pictures, and then started looking at it after we get rain. You know what I mean? And there's dozens and dozens. And I'm not talking about just water spots.

47:11 – 47:530

Keep that coating is a non-slip surface that's supposed to go back on there. And we haven't done anything with it because we've been waiting on the result of this grant. Well, how about I mean you don't So you have it to put it on there? What do you mean you No, you haven't done anything with it. We're waiting. We're waiting to see if the grants approve approved before we do anything because if the grants approved, it'll totally resurface it or recover it with a non-slip surface. So, how long have you been waiting on this grant? Because this has been mentioned for three years at least. No, it's been in the last year. Not not the problem with the basketball courts. This discussion happened within

47:50 – 48:280

I'll go back and find it. So, I might remember what did you think, Todd? I think cuz I've never heard anybody complain about it being slick. I haven't. But we we talked about putting a uh we'd have to etch etch off the clear gloss sealers on there now. Etch it and then re coat it with sanded sealer which is creates and it's not very expensive. It's just Yeah. Most man hours getting that makes sense.

48:25 – 49:100

Yeah. We had grip or sanded sealer put in the restrooms of the park and they're pretty they're pretty uh they grip pretty good. So, but that won't that still won't take care of the puddles st the standing water on them. I don't know how anyone would have approved and paid for the work. We poured them. What's that? If they cut joints in it or not. They they did. I remember. Yeah, they did. They could probably cut some more that would would drain those places

49:06 – 49:210

and you'd never Yeah, I'll talk to Sono about it. Pardon? Did he pour that? Yes. I'm surprised. Yeah.

49:24 – 49:420

Follow. Yeah, actually you do. Um there's been a lot of talk about sidewalk issues still. Mhm.

49:38 – 50:200

It would be great if we could sit down and have a list of the sidewalks that need to be replaced sooner rather than later. and have a plan for sidewalks for our community because I know there are a lot of people walk and sidewalks are not safe at all especially if you're walking in the dark. So we' also talked about possibly tapping into a grant for the sidewalks as well and that you know you know what the program has been we remove it haul it away. Yes, it's up to the homeowner. I know that's the policy. Yeah.

50:19 – 50:340

But regardless, it still needs to be done and needs to be addressed. We need to have a plan for the city to keep up updating them, upgrading them so that it is safe for our residents to walk on.

50:42 – 51:060

Okay. You going to do it? I can. my spare time. That would be great. I'm sure you have a lot of it right now. I'll make it happen. Typically, it's the historic district and then third, fourth, and fifth down toward park. School park school. Yeah, that's where I

51:04 – 51:480

downtown for years. where we have the big where we have the big trees that are going back. Okay. You have anything else, Paul? Actually, yes. I did want to know where we were at on the water treatment plant with the roof and everything. If the whole roof if we looked into it to see if the whole roof needed to be replaced. It does. Okay. Yeah. Okay.

51:44 – 52:150

And Sentry um is probably going to be on it in the next two weeks. Very good. That's all I have. Yeah, they were back over last week measured some more. They weren't okay. And I told him if the insulation is is wet to take it off and replace it. Chad, I don't have anything. Okay,

52:12 – 52:370

Brad. Just like remind everybody that city cleanup is this Saturday. So if you got stuff, I know a lot of people have been looking forward to it. Casey and I talked about some stuff earlier, so we're good there. Randy,

52:32 – 53:540

I uh have mowed most of the park. Um this I guess is not a council thing. It's a park thing. Um but u mowing around the cabin and I know you replace or fixed the roof down there on the cabin recently. Uh there's a some of the timbers on the west side are sticking out and I I really don't know who to get in contact with. I've talked to a couple of guys from American Legion and from Parisville. Allan Holt was one of them. Um can't think of the other guy's name. Anyway, I I wonder if if we have to I I don't want to see the place fall down. it. I can imagine get somebody there that, you know, does that type of work. U it could still look pretty good, you know, to get a refurbish done to it. And I know Bobby Cage was talking about the cannon out front, getting some wheels made for it and bring it down to the courthouse. So, u that a lot of limbs down, um a lot of debris. I think I got a group coming to just do sticks and trash, but it's windy every day, so you know what what do you do?

53:53 – 54:370

Yeah. So, and some guys been on it. Yeah. Yeah. Just can't hardly get ahead of it. So, other than that, I that's all I got. I do have one thing. Yes. This is not about the property. on the way out of town by the car wash, the marathon station right there. The big hole. Yes. Oh, didn't know if anybody brought that to your attention. No, KC's on board today. We've got this winter was this winter was hard on the roads and we've got several, probably more than we've ever had at one time.

54:34 – 55:190

Are they open in Beersburg now with the hot mix? Okay. Yeah, we'll get that. Um, now that the river has flooded over the new part of the trail, once that recedes, what's the method for clean up? I don't know. It's the first time it's flooded over it. So, well, years ago when they first did the I'm talking years ago and there was um laptop down there. The fire department will come out and hose it off. Hose the lead back off. Yeah.

55:17 – 55:580

Is that a possibility or a major cleanup? I'm not sure. Almost looks like the parking lot. Yeah, they didn't do much back then. They didn't It wasn't It wasn't done right when they did it. Of course, it wasn't It's not the city limits either. So, when they did it, we didn't have any input in it. So, but uh So, is that something that's It'll be Oh, it'll be better. It'll be better now. I don't know what it's going to take. You know, we'll have to wait till it recedes. Then we'll know what it's going to take. But it's going to get cleaned up.

56:04 – 56:380

Anybody else? One thing up front that mention this Sunday we'll be doing a training out the box. Uh the one day training will be a live barber. So we'll do smoke through there. It's going to be out of the south. I don't know. We'll see where but yeah it's one day train hopefully. Good. Um council members uh did you receive the tiff annual report? Yes. Yes,

56:35 – 57:060

Randy needs to be acknowledged and we'll put it in gateway. Okay, thank you all for coming. Meetings adjourned. Oh, hey, hold it. One more thing. Meetings adjourned. Um pool pool manager.
