Are you ready? Welcome to the village of Cottage Grove Village Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, August 4th, 2025. Um this is a hybrid meeting occurring um both via Zoom and in person at Village Hall. It is 5:31, so I'll call the meeting to order. We do have a quorum and the agenda was properly posted. So, we'll stand for the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
All right. This meeting is um slightly different um compared to our normal meetings. So we do have um a number four which is discuss and consider um entering into a closed session to discuss negotiating strategy with our labor attorney regarding police union bargaining agreements. Um and so I will make the motion um and we will do a second and a roll call and then we will stop the live stream in our Zoom and then we will relog back in after our um our close session. and we anticipate that to begin around 6:30 p.m. So, I'll make the motion that the village of Cottage Grove Village Board enter into close session pursuant to Wisconsin state statute 19.85 85 PNG conferring with legal counsel for the government governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved andor pnee deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds or conducting other specified public business whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a close session. Is there a second?
