Front of you are the minutes from our last meeting on November 12th. I did have a couple of changes. Just got to remember what they were. Yes, the first one was uh under department report for fire was named and then the other one was when I was when we were talking about the approval of the ready resolution 23 ready was misspelled should be a besides Were there any changes or none by Jennifer, second by further discussion in favor signify. Next up, we'll go into our ordinances. Do I have a motion to read ordinance 2025-21 by title only? Motion by Danny, second by further discussion. All those in favor of the sign, please read or 2025-21 by title.
Ordinance 2025-21 ordinance be the 2026 salary range benefit ordinance. So, yep. Do you want to do you want to say something or Yeah. I I just uh I want to bring your attention to the water department. Uh you may Mike had some concerns last time. Um, so he did review those and uh looked at some of the dollar figures and stuff. I think there's one employee that is what three cents off of the range if you will with the new ranges that are presented here.
Um, but that can easily be rectified. So again, this is for6. So is there any other changes besides that? Um, I did update the communication hours the 1952 as discussed we have in some 1952 otherwise everything else remained as presented.
So again like I said that was one thing the last meeting and I know you guys approved one of them of the But I kind of went through and double checked and that's why you see that's just bring any questions about ordinance 2025-21 I don't know if we want to make this change just for consistency. under the firefight.

Please read or title ordinance 2025-24 ordinance amending chapter 96 parks department of title 9 of the code of ordinances of the city of city.
As a reminder, this just exempts out the pool. Any questions, comments, concerns?
Can you really swim at this? I guess I guess that's possible. Do a motion to approve ordinance 2025-24 bytrenal sign. It is unanimous. We are not doing 252 because you bas off because they last two days of this week off. So I thought well silly to bring all those people in just a handful of so they're not here. I will give you some of their reports. However report the guys put up some Christmas decorations and winterized bathrooms that get shut down for the winter. They also pulled a pump motor of the pool and sent it to get rebuilt before next year. They're getting ready to fix a main water line to the four fields at parks from a leak that happened last year and they're getting help from Terry on installing and running the point of sale software so they can do registrations next year. So actually I think the goal is to utilize that point of sale here in December for Christmas. Uh they are also installing a water line from the old park office to the old
skate park which is hopefully next year. So they are installing police. Uh they of course we still have four individuals uh that pass through public safety medical and were sent to one of them. The other sitting on somebody's desk who's taking a lot of vacation time or something. I'm not sure what's going on down there. Approval. I don't know what's happening down there, but we are guessing because there's so many there's so many departments that have a need for police officers there. So we're just waiting Christmas. I didn't but officers are doing extra patrols over Thanksgiving at retailers and all that kind of good stuff. Controlling for pres 14th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Pages Crossing. They have the police department has been working in partnership with the school corporation on their internship program and I think reports police department and working with still working with battery boxes on the tornado sirens from the water department. They're working on the South Whley Street Storm water line. So, they're working on that and they're going to have do an inspection of the aation tower. It's been a long time since we've actually had theation tower and the filters So it's an basically water and so we haven't had that filters in quite some time. So that's that's on the
agenda. Terry's installed six different point of sale devices at either the pool or park office as mentioned by maps for those point of sale. software installed four new cameras in the video network replacing four cameras that were failing. Uh if those if individuals are watching on YouTube, they know that that camera back there has had some issues in the past sometimes has some issues and we have figure out [clears throat] last two updates I have here from Kelly. Uh continued leak pick up they got to the whole town whole city last week and they have a couple soap boxes issues that they have to fix. I think that's getting fixed before snow this weekend. They are obviously still doing work orders and tap inspections and they brought Santa's house. Uh and then Mike Cook reports that Greywolf completed the new DO installation on November 14th. Donna and uh the water control facility staff completed the installation of the new DO control panel and D completed program to the new system on November 17th. Christmas decorations were put up and will be turned on Thanksgiving weekend. The UV bolts were removed, clean, stored for the winter. And I think that is it for reports. I'll say from my perspective last As you
know, I was um from Wednesday through Saturday I was out in Salt Lake City's city summit uh conference. Um none of the expenses were on a sponsor. So got to really interact with a lot of different communities mayors as well as etc. Just to kind of compare notes and see how things are. Obviously every state city set up a little different. Some have a really strong mayor system like Indiana. Some have a very strong council system, some have strong city manager system. So, it just kind of depends on the state and how it works out there. But we got to I got to have a lot of good conversation aboutility and economic development, workforce development, education. Appreciate the opportunity to conference. Uh couple other things going on. Uh we're still working on multiple projects. I know that the just waiting on the contractors to do the railroad the trail crossing of the railroad. Just waiting on the contractor to come in and do that. And we're still waiting crossings to let us know whether or not we get phase three or not. We've heard that it may be after Thanksgiving. So maybe next week we'll get a phone call. Hopefully, it's a positive call, not a hey, we can give you $200,000. So, I don't know what we're going to do
that situation, but hopefully we'll get positive news next week or the week after see a push back supposed to be due tomorrow. We had some clarifications requested for uh the criteria and guidelines there. So at the ad of our outdo property so those will go to the And besides that, again, Thursday and Friday, city hall is closed for Thanksgiving. And I know Rotary is going to be doing Thanksgiving meals as they have in the past. Talk about Friday night too much. Saturday of course is shop small Saturday. Small business Saturday is happening and uh we will be playing downtown on Saturday. So some people love that some people absolutely despise it. I think it's like 10 ridiculously long but it adds a little depending on your board works also approved Christmas I have geared up for evaluations
Christmas line up for groups that are participating is 5:15 to 5:30 in the vicinity of building and more people get more and more. We have lots and lots of
the parade moves get started at 6:00 and immediately following
I just want to make sure I think that Christmas lights except the tree will be
the Christmas Yeah, the Christmas tree will be turned on. I don't know about usually everything is off. That may conversation between you and Sean on the phone. So, just give them a call. I do want to thank the street department. Um, also thanks to the police department.
Also, thanks to anything else people retreat. You get to see a different person.
I'll be around. I promise. It's not in the city.
Thank you so much.
And I have nothing.
Okay. Ryan, you have anything? Okay. I will also add on to what Dan You've been a great asset to our community. You have, I think, served your constituents really well. I know that you've gotten plenty of phone calls, not only from maybe your neighbors, but also the district in general. Um, and you've served on lots of different committees. I'm a little concerned about the fact that I'm not wast. But I do appreciate all your work. I appreciate the service you provide the city. Uh, and I know that uh I know that you know you're doing what's best for your family and their job. So, so thanks for your service to the city. You will certainly be missed. We also look forward to welcome to the council officially at the next meeting.
With that, we will call the meeting.
