Okay.

1:57 – 2:230

And then Sunday, if anybody's not doing anything, West Fail Historical Society has a program on Father Elias, which I'm really fascinated by him. I'm going to go to that. That is all I have. Uh, appointments by commission. The carele committee changes collector Larry Vincent. The carele committee is proposing that uh we change uh take Lily off of the carele committee and put Sheila on. She actually provides a lot of information every time we meet on about the end of his apply for care leave coverage. So we I would request that the commission make that switch.

3:30 – 4:000

But are you good with taking on that responsibility? Okay. Raise your right hand and Five. I'll make a motion to uh appoint Sheila, our HR director, to the care. Second. All in favor? I I I Thank you. Congratulations.

Table that again. Okay. Okay. Table that. Uh approval and signing of an MOA with SEMA for professional planning services.

4:33 – 6:120

Yes. Good morning. Uh this is a subreient uh agreement with SEMA uh to rewrite our multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan. Um every 5 years we are required um to update our hazard mitigation plan regarding hazmat. Failure to do so will make us ineligible for federal grants. Um in order to write that plan, SEMA has um contracted with the local RPCs to perform that work. Um therefore, each county or each emergency management authority is required to uh allocate $8,000 in inind match for that work. that match is a combination of staff hours to uh attend the meetings and perform that and then the rest of that is um accounted for via our um annual dues to the RPC. So there there should be no cost out of pocket to us. Um this is just the agreement that says uh we will enter into that and have the RPC perform that work. Uh happy to answer any questions. For those of you who haven't heard the term MOA memorandum of agreement, right?

11:57 – 13:180

Yeah. Good morning again. Uh so this is a little bit convoluted so try and stay with me here. um as uh the agency over or having the closest relationship with the LEAPC. Um emergency management did submit a grant award or a grant request for numerous items. Um on this LAPC grant cycle, we were actually only awarded one of those three requests. And the awarded request is actually for four gas monitors. Um so it's two four gas monitors. They they measure four gases. It's two monitors um for the Jeff City Fire Department. And so because the county holds the funds for the LAPC, um the request is that we expend those funds um to purchase these items. The grant will reimburse us for this purchase and then the LAPC will vote to release those funds to the county making us whole for our expenditure. So, uh, total cost for this purchase is $10,582.36. Happy to answer any questions.

13:17 – 14:020

Bureaucracy. Yes. I just uh approved the quote. I don't have a signature or anything. So, I'll make a motion to approve of the purchase with all Safe Industries purchase of two monitors of four gas monitors. Second. Okay. All in favor? I I I That was almost as confusing as a memo of agreement. Yes. It's just an agreement, right? It's got to be a memo. Memorandum. Memorandum. letter M O A minutes of angle or something. Okay.

14:01 – 14:140

Sorry. Okay. We're going to keep move ahead. Yeah. Approval to purchase 2026 Ford F-150. Listen to yours.

14:12 – 14:570

Gosh, Lexi did all your work. I don't even know why. So, this is a uh 2026 Ford F-150 for Andy, our asset management manager. Uh it is with Joe Mockins Ford Lincoln. Purchase price is $44,893. Our budgeted amount was $50,000 and this is on the Missouri buys contract. Uh, this truck will replace a 2006 with 126,000 miles on it that will either be sold as a surplus this year or held for a few years and then sell an older one. 162,000 miles. 162,000.

14:56 – 15:170

126. Listen what I mean, not what I say to it's 126. I'd say you got to keep 162,565. So, it's just broken in, right? Right.

15:15 – 15:490

And I have a quote for it. I don't know if we need a signature or just approval on this. So, I'm good with the under budget, too. So, that's good. I'm on route tomorrow. Uh, well, I'll make a motion to acquire the 2026 Ford F-150 through the Mobileise contract at a cost of 44893. Second. All in favor? I I thank you.

15:46 – 16:140

Okay. Unfinished business. We are going to table the discussion of the Cole County Jail generator docking station for another week. So, we'll put that back on the agenda. And then we have the ADA compliance update on document uh remediation. So, yes,

16:10 – 17:150

Melissa. So, um we have a meeting set up for Monday um for to have um the main people that are going to be doing the remediation um get together here in the commission chambers to discuss our needs and where we're at basically. Um also last week Brian and I had a a vendor call with a company called Prep that we're really interested in. Um, we're still getting some information, but um, we think that that's going to be the company we're going to try and go with possible. So, um, we're still, like I said, getting, um, getting some information from them, but um, hopefully we'll have more next week after we talk to, um, the staff also. I don't really have a whole lot more right now. Next week hopefully we'll have more information.

17:13 – 17:550

Do you have any questions? No. No. No. Thank you, Mr. Ch. I don't have anything else, but I see we have Mr. Bach from Midmo RPC. Did do you have anything to educate us with or find us more money? He's good. Once we get the hazard mitigation plan done, maybe we can find you some hazard mitigation grants. I was just here to answer any questions if you had about the MOA, but it sounds like sounds like flew through. So, well, welcome. We're always glad to have you here. Okay. We have nothing.

17:52 – 18:200

Commissioner, just one thing. Um, I sent emails out today. the external auditors, Williamske keepers has a list of leaders they want to talk with. So, please respond back to me like three times that works for you and I'll try and get all those meetings coordinated and everything. You should have my thanks my calendar yet. So, okay.

18:17 – 18:530

I I do want to recognize David from Midmo RPC Regional Planning Commission. Uh I have the pleasure of serving uh with with that board. Um they're they are really a hidden gem. Uh and they work under the surface. A lot of people don't know about them. They're nondiscree. Don't don't blow their horn much, but uh boy, they have they have come through with Far Cole County, which is one of five or six counties. How many?

18:50 – 19:180

Six counties in the Midmo Regional Planning Commission. Uh without them, we probably wouldn't have the new ambulance station that was just completed and they do great work with the small staff. You know, they're they know they're thanks for coming. Speaking of staff, who all do you all have up there? You got Lincoln and David. And

19:16 – 19:470

we have Jennifer Bowen is our transportation planner. She's receiving grants in Cole County. Uh Gayla Dunn, she does a part-time grant for reading for us. Becky Bias handles over loan fund. U Mike John's is going to be working on the hazard mitigation started with us maybe a year ago. So we've got five full-time and two part-time staff and we kind of punch above our weight class, but you're doing a good job. Yes. Thank you all. Okay, that it

19:45 – 20:120
