You know, now we're still here. He was a disco.
I can't think to that.
This meeting of the mayor and the board of fathers, I would say, was that good to come forward with each other?
Yeah, very good. A little spring. Our dear Heavenly Father, we come from this hour in the evening to give thanks for the many blessings that are restored among us. We thank you for this privilege. We thank you for this opportunity for allowing us to come together to discuss the business of the city. We pray that everything we do and say will be in your will. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen. Amen. All right, Mr.
Engineer. Yes, sir, please.
This person is just giving a little update on what we've got going on. The only two things we've got going right now are the airport flight mitigation job. It's going well. It's not too far from happening, though. It should be before I'm a black asshole in Texas. sidewalk project that continues to work between Grand Beach and Bay of Davis. It's formed up of a blank sidewalk after there. The first thing that we think about is improving the lowest and best bid for the 2026 district improvement project, and that was Murphy-Bayton. We came in, the bid checked out, everything looked good, so we recommended the award to Murphy-Bayton.
When will they be able to mobilize? We started them.
I haven't thought to. I haven't heard. I'll have to get it. I'll make a motion to approve.
Where are they from?
Where are they from? Second, your motion. I'm sorry.
Is that correct?
I believe so. I believe so. So we have not, do we make an adjustment for weather or anything?
Well, they aren't charged working days, and that's 90 working days. That's in the context of weather effects, and they're not even working a day because of council.
Well, I sort of had a question because I saw the projected estimate that was given by...
josh and he's uh part of a significant difference and i see that the uh the bid was lower maybe about eight thousand dollars you're asking a lot of the difference between their business so a lot of it had to do with asphalt prices because gas prices uh they were a little bit higher than just things and uh that's
So I think they negotiated.
I was going to suggest that we decrease about 8,000. I second. Motion by Bryan, second by Zinnia.
All those in favor? Aye. Opposed?
the next item we've had is the approval of the highway side improvement project additional work delta state moa and that is just for the uh a little concrete parking lot in front of the uh alumni house building right there on state and delta state the reason it needs to be corrected we take correct some training degraded issues so why that contractor
motion motion by marcy second figure by kid all those in favor all right um first thing on the agenda transit a motion and a second to approve the consent agenda second by brian second by chad all those in favor um Oh.
As far as. Any questions.
Yeah, he didn't include an update on this time. We do have a level of except the executive session items.
For reaction and litigation.
Yeah.
So moved. Motion by Ted, second by Marcy. All those in favor? No. Can you hear us, Gary? I can hear you. I have a hard time hearing the speaker because there's no mic at that podium.
Okay. That is in our update. Okay. I'm adding a mic there.
That was up.
Okay.
On behalf of the Chamber, I'd like to request approval of the Main Street Revitalization Grant Agreement. If you recall, they actually applied for this like three years ago and the board actually funded the match money then, three years ago. So they have, I think funding was halted back then. So they have received the grant and they supplied me with kind of a rendering of what they're planning on doing. I uploaded that for you. So there's need approval of the grant agreement.
I agree with that. I know that they, in their budget summary, they had over, It's probably unknown because when this was done it was 3 years ago and so the project has evolved all of these projects all of these main street revitalization projects have evolved from what they were 3 years ago and so
The people that the board on this grant board have told all of the organizations that were awarded, all the chambers and cities, because actually the city is who will administer the grant and pay the vendors. So we... We will we know that we're going to have to kind of regroup a little bit and that they're aware of that so there's a little bit of an unknown factor and that's probably why that's in there I would think because they're going to have to go back to the drawing board yet a solid plan for what they're going to do and represent that to the committee. before we move forward. Exactly. But the funds are still, it's $150,000, $120,000 grant, and then the $30,000 match funds from the city. Yes, ma'am.
Like a line item? I'm sure once we have a set plan,
Because, like I said, the city is who is actually administering the project. Yes, ma'am.
Motion by Zane. Second by Marcy. All those in favor?
Aye.
Okay. Heather?
Sorry, Mike.
Motion by Brian, second by Marcy. All those in favor? Aye. Thank you. And I'm not going to give anybody else anything.
No, sir.
Let's go through them then. Brian? I'm good, Mr. Mayor. Okay. Ted? I don't have anything.
Marcy?
Ted, do you have anything? No, sir.
Bye. I think he might stay on for executive.
Yeah, we're having it. She said we're having it.
She said we're having it. That was a no.
Okay. All right. Brian. I make a motion to consider entering executive session for employee action items and a litigation update. Motion by Brian. Second. Second by Ted. All those in favor?
Aye.
I make a motion to enter executive session for the second. Motion by Brian. Second. All those in favor? I don't know. Softly, too.
