live. This meeting of mayor and the board of all the city of Cleveland is now in session. You have any business before this? Please come forward. Let us pray. Our father, we come this hour of the morning to give thanks for the many blessings that have restored unto us. We thank you for the privilege and we thank you for the opportunity for allowing us to come together to discuss the business of the city. We pray that everything we do and say will be in your will. Yes, sir. All right. I think all we have today is the submission of our uh 2026 street plan. We completed the the citywide street inspection and we've revised our kind of master plan for street improvements and submitted both for your review. We are ready to release all the concrete work which is only a little bit of concrete this year and we want to go ahead and bid out all the asphalt work. So, it's almost identical to last year with the only exceptions for our recommendation for 26 with the exceptions of we adjusted it slightly to meet our current budget. Uh, and we adjusted a couple streets based on condition, but that was it. Y'all have any questions?

This is a I mean, I'm not one to judge this great program because I know y'all done a lot of work, but I mean, can before we pursue something like this, can we do some kind of aggressive program to go back and address those around this town? We've got places in our streets that are caving in. Um there's a place on Lamar and there's one out here actually in the middle of the street where the concrete is like this. And I'm tell and I I would rather see us right now spend if we got to spend a couple hundred,000. Let's go out and aggressively address these potholes.

Can you hear him, Josh? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Okay. His I can give you what we historically done. We can look at a lot of these potholes are based on utility breaks almost $7 million. But but the problem is these potholes are getting pushed back to the to you know I I just think we need to I know y'all made a list of them but obviously that list is not comprehensive because I'm still hitting it looks like it's

Yeah. So we can take a look at them. what we've been doing um a lot of these potholes utility brakes fault what we've allowed public works to do them a lot of them are small enough that they're addressing them internally and we're trying to plan these more larger pavement u these routes and repairing full blocks instead of chasing potholes but I'll be happy to take a look at them we can do whatever we need to let me let me just ask a question Gary can we just move forward uh and include that in there what you're talking about uh Josh there they're two holes within a 100 yards of your office that will knock your teeth out if you hit them.

I think you know just west of y'all's office. It's horrible. And and uh I don't ride around that much and I can't miss a pothole. I tell you one down on Southland that people have called uh getting deeper and deeper. So I'm going get a jock so he can go around and you know see that pole too. May I Josh? Are we using hot mix or cold mix? What are we doing filling these holes? This is all street improvement. This is all hot mix milling overlay. This is where we're doing full blocks and we're trying to most of this is talking about what was talking about.

Let me let me make a suggestion real quick. what we ought to do or what I think we ought to do, let's make a big running list, potholes, utility patches, and make sure we know who's addressing them because a lot of this stuff we look at them as this is a internal public works. Uh I tell you what, why don't we make a motion? Let's table the recommendations for the uh street improvements till we can talk about.

Well, I mean, I don't have a problem with this. I I just think before we pursue a $7 million project that we we fix some of the problems that are just obvious. Okay. Bring yourself. No, they're they're picking up the limbs that are out there. Lucas, is that is there any limit to what they can pick up uh now? No. No, ma'am. Is the lambs are out. We're going to pick them up. Remember we had a bunch of discussions and we went back did some study with them and got Josh involved the numbers. Essentially they test earlier than they did before based on the numbers triggering and then they're going to be doing you a monthly report and give you an opportunity a little more feedback earlier. um originally Danny we talked about the number of times they were going to fly the plane and they wanted to say 10 to 12 or as many as we need to. Uh I look there was no specific number in here. Correct. Okay. And then after a bunch of back and forth and study, you let the science take. And what we did lower the threshold and we lost him. I know it, Brian. I tell you this. Unbelievable.

It's a city hall internet lag is what's doing this. All I can tell you guys is that we just have to talk to each other. Next month on Tuesday or Monday evening today, one very early draft on something that I believe is a public safety issue. I think we need to do all those in executive silence. We might have these.
