all can you call please Baker here Bradley here Eden here King here Ry here Thompson here we have a one one Amendment to the agenda is if we could we've got Mr Michael Burton with us uh he's kind of time constrained can we move item C second item B to item a to Inver so we can get Mr Burton and planning zonings through first so other than that change would entertain a motion for approval the agenda Bradley yes Edens yes King yes Ry singer yes Thompson yes Baker yes a motion for approval of the minutes so move second second Edens yes Kean yes ryer yes Thompson yes Baker yes Bradley yes so no unfinished business uh under 6A is going to be ordinance to reone property for Paul castan I miss there she is ask her to come and personal come and brief us if you have any questions about the re Zone and I've got Michael Burton on yes sir special use permit Cody come on up [Music] questions Michael can you hear us I hear you okay oh hi I'm Crystal harderson I'm a realtor at cryy 21 um we are representing a Sero building solution or building components they're looking to add a location in our area um over near Clark Road in exit 55 um Michael Burton is the vice president of the company and he's here to answer any questions that you may
[Music] have Michael do you just want to brief introduce yourself and your company to the to the council certainly and thank you for your consideration and moving me up on the agenda tonight I appreciate it I want to say also to the mayor and uh to the folks with economic development and Engineering uh how appreciative I have been and we are of all their accommodations and courtesies it's been great uh refreshing actually uh to be considering to come into a town that's been so welcoming and helping uh I am vice president of the several building uh components uh we we build components for metal buildings uh everywhere from a like a carport or garage that a carport company might manufacture to a larger facility in this particular facility we will distribute the products that we are making in Texas and Indiana tubular steel sheet metal trims rollup doors and walk-in doors along with Windows and anchors that we bring in from third parties so this project allows us to be closer to a lot of our customers and to also allow us to expand and as we open we uh we envision 12 to 15 employees uh maybe within the first 12 18 months and hopefully to see it to grow to a larger number yeah us [Music] too so what he's asking for is he's going to do retail sales but also he will do some light Industrial in the same building which requires a special use permit to to do the light Industrial in the retail sales area is this going to be uh more or less a Distribution Hub that would be correct for retail and whale to our bigger companies who manufacture buildings okay but we will
also make it available to yourself if you wanted to come pick up metal and trim for maybe a project you were doing uh at your home or on your farm uh it would be aail ailable to the general public as well is it like red Iron buildings or the the like the tubular style carports and stuff it's it's a galvanized tubular structure and tubing so they take those sticks as we call it of the tubing and they will bend it weld it and fabricate it to meet the size and dimensions of your building that you have ordered from thank you can I ask about um you said you're going to distribute out of there how many um trucks would you have in and out of there on a daily basis can you give us an approximation could you repeat that for me Michael she's she's asking about um Distributing from that site and about how many trucks you know the the truck count coming and going daily okay right uh as far as trucks in the form of semis we would expect probably to be two a week is what we anticipate right now to product in as far as smaller trucks we hope that number grows as far as a a duly with a trailer coming to pick up materials as far as shipping large semis out of that plant we don't anticipate that being our our plan uh that was done more in our manufacturing facilities in Indiana California and uh Texas thank you I just asked that because you said Clark Road I didn't want that to impede the bus traffic there there's a lot of Clark Road that intersection is just on the western edge of our schools high schools just across the street from it so there was some concern about mixing you know student traffic in with big trucks and things
like that so it's a genuine concern yeah certainly I can't imagine that being a big problem for traffic control um like I said our trucks will only be coming in to restock what we may be selling uh so I I feel pretty comfortable maybe three a week in a really busy season which might be your July August and of course September would be in light of the start of school but I wouldn't imagine it being a lot of traffic on our perfect thank you Michael thank you have a motion is it an ordinance we got to read the ordinance I'm sorry I'm sorry is it an ordinance yeah I didn't flip it in my book I'm sorry M Barber could you read the ordinance please ordinance approving a special perment request for the City of Clarksville Arkansas whereas the City of Clarksville has here to for adopted a zoning ordinance and official zoning map to guide and influence the allocation and arrangement of land uses the development of land and the future building within the corporate limits of the City of Clarksville whereas a petition was filed in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance requesting a special permit for Paul castan in a C3 zone for certain lands within the corporate limits of the city of Clarks whereas a public hearing was held on set petition on September 5th 2024 the Planning Commission approved the special permit request on September 5th 2024 and recommended its approval to the Clarksville City Council on September 9th 2024 now therefore be it ordained by the city council of City of Clarksville Arkansas section one a special permit in a C3 zone for Paul cman shall be granted use as a light manufacturing and retail space on the following described property part of the southeast corner of section 2824 approximately 25 acres being located west Clark Road and Shady Grove Road Clarksville Arkansas section two all ordinances or part of ordinances in Conflict here withth are hereby repealed we'll open it back up for questions and comments sorry I got out
of order there say now entertain a motion to suspend rules and place it on the second reading so much second Miss Barber King yes ringer yes Thompson yes Baker yes Bradley yes Edens yes ordinance approving a special permanent request for the City of Clarksville Arkansas one more time questions or comments Council see none motion to suspending rules in place on this third reading so move second second M Bar ringer yes Thompson yes Baker yes Bradley yes Edens yes King yes ordinance approving a special permit request for the City of Clarksville Arkansas okay we'll open it back up for questions or comments motion to adopt the ordinance so second Miss bar Thompson yes Baker yes Bradley yes Edens yes King yeah ringer yes thank you Council Michael thank you um on behalf of the city of Clarks thank you for choosing Clarksville what what's cup of coffee is amazing sometimes so I appreciate you guys stopping we thank everybody for your cooperation look forward to being a good employer in your Taxas Revenue yes sir thank you Michael thank you sir okay bye Crystal thank you let me get back on track apologize uh 6 B is going to be the airport tax away extension project uh I think there were some changes to the language J it I got Brian here if you want if you want to explain the uh FAA does not allow a
couple of things to be covered by grant that was in the original proposal it was the uh application for the state matching and a little bit of work on our Capital Improvement program so it'll be covered somewhere else so it's just a I think a $3,000 yeah reduction from8 115 down 118 to8 to 115 yes so so we need a we need an action from the council to approve that we approved it in the last meeting but it's it's now changed so if you guys motion to approve that then authorize me to sign that decreases our proportion yes yes I make a motion to accept the new agreement second could you add and just authorize the mayor to sign it yes and authorize the mayor to okay second second bar baker yes Bradley yes Eden yes King yeah Ry singer yes Thompson yes thank you coun thank you computer went down I tell you want us to move [Music] Des I'm in trouble 6C is going to be adjustment to Street Improvement budget for 200,000 for Road design and preconstruction Stanley you want to come up and talk about that Morgan's not here tonight that Morgan's been bad s what we're wanting to do is widen Country Club from the bridge down there or the box covers we put in where we previously widened it out to on out and North uh Skaggs South skags sorry South skags if you you've driven down it especially in a school bus there's no room to pass so you're off in somebody's off in a ditch to pass each other down
through there I know we've had several people that live out that way complained and wanting it widen so have we done a traffic study out there because I've been out there two time since we got our agenda and there's been like six cars I can promise you there's more than six cars driveing up down that thing a day if you go out there and work on them I could put a traffic count out there but I don't you know it still doesn't how how far of North gags do you plan to go all the way to 64 all 6 yeah that's what you know there's some extensive utilities and stuff in there we got to work around and that's why we want to do a study to see what we can do you have to do Geotech you have to do surveys you got to figure out what easements are and if we can even do it and you know even going through the part down there but through the core there's probably going mitigation we got to pay for and all that but so this 200,000 is just for the that's just for the preconstruction work the engineering survey Geotech I don't think we don't think Country Club is going to be a problem I think the problem is going to come in North or South skags will be you know there's a lot of utilities and stuff we got to find out through there but you know that's one of our it's it's a lot busier than you think if you go out there and you work on it one day you'll realize there's a lot of traffic on and like I said it's just a lot of it is the school buses you know there's no room to pass there's no room pass hardly two cars and for some reason GPS is send 18 wheelers down Country Club and then up scags I don't know how many many times we've had to go send trucks to get them out yeah I do remember that it's that happens pretty routinely but what I'd like to do you know some work on mass and Gil out there and all that and get it all up to shape where it needs to be but you know while we're out in that area we'll do all that at the same time so so this uh would you'd be in contact with CCU on any utilities you'd have to move oh definitely we have that's the reason part of yes Sentry Link Sentry de that's to get it drawn up and everything is what this money's for
so is that widening on both sides of that road yeah we'll widen it you know well without have to you know buy easements I'm sure because there's not much easements out there and move fences and everything when we get ready to do it this is just going to give Morgan you know the money to work with to design it some of that Patrick is even closer than the houses were on Montgomery it's just not possible we just have to work through that as best we can but they did a pretty good job if you go down Montgomery now areas I thought they couldn't widen they widen and actually made it better for the home on South skags it'll be it'll have to be carbon Gutter and ditch you know pipe and drainage is what it would have to be because there's no way we can do it without it it's a sampy area yeah and they're open ditches now so we have to fill those up and you know it'll be it'll be an extensive project but I think it'll be well worth it do they have sewer up there up so far y it doesn't go all the way out I don't it go just to the lift station y yeah it needs a lift station to Ed on South past many ofie states yeah I think I'm not Chad is not here elaborate on exactly where it is I think it stops I think out there by the end of scagg somewhere right in there I believe you know is it Griffith it's right in there somewhere yeah it's somewhere right there close yeah I think I think Chad went out there and looked at for me one time because I know it's somewhere right where the good where the Goods live Barbara and Jimmy before he passed go through that dip and come up on the hill past the the overseas you get up on that Hill there where the goods are there's no that's all I know that's all I do know there's some sir manholes in Griffith Loop but I think it kind of stops right in that area the problem is you can't you have no fall once you go through past the overseas there is no it's all uphill so you have to have a lift station to get it from there and that's the problem so but this like I said this would be just get the design
and everything drawn up yeah then we'll have to come back next year and approve the money for the job it's just that way we can get it done next year if we can get this approved and get it designed yeah the idea is to see if if if it can even be a project you know it's worthwhile project because there could be some expansion toward Housing Development um out further west and this would give us flow of traffic residential traffic not missing with commercial traffic on Sterling hurle 64 seven potentially this is your any other questions I don't know if I answer what you need to no sure do you have the money in your yes yeah we have plenty in there that's for that that's what it's for that's what I was looking right now we have 7. 7,178 464 we have budgeted 6, 96340 a 7.1 million in it Got7 million minus you got some baseball exp coming out that and we get more coming in next year for our projects too [Music] so I'll make a motion to approve the street Improvement or the adjustment to the street Improvement budget for 200,000 is there a second second Miss Barbara Baker yes Bradley yes Edens yes King yeah Ranger yes Thompson yes thank you Council uh the mpb roof replacement have you all had a chance to look at that and when we say roof replacement this has an interesting story Cody it's
not yeah the the roof on the MPV has you all know that we've had to replace the basketball floor on Sunny's court right twice now because of the leaks the air conditioners that are on the roof are causing either condensation or the pans are overfilling and they're following the pipes down and they're getting on the floors we can we have been putting Band-Aids on this for years and if we don't address it now then it's just it's just going to get worse most of the problems on the walking Track are from leaks on the roof and it's just getting worse worse and worse so I'll let Cody and Mike kind of talk about some of the history of it so what we learned is uh during ball games is probably the worst time if it's raining you literally have people out there with plastic catching water and then they're having to sit there with towels and drop Stop The Game Stop The Clock dry up water so me and Mike we got a scissor lift and we took some like stuff you would put on a uh RV roof and spent hours up there and this stuff don't go on Easy by the way we spent hours up there was it water Dew it eventually finds a different hole somewhere else um the unit on the North side never could find a leak but you come in there and there'd be tons of water so we took the ladder truck up there I think slick was there wasn't you yes sir in six seconds I that's how long it took for it just to start pouring water in there they're shooting water from a 100 yards away so two weeks ago we had the kitchenette area um I ain't got my work phone on me but there I got pictures of all the asphalt shingles that they literally just pick up and move eight 10 foot of it out of the way well what's happened is all that is asphalt shingles is just shed that asphalt to the drains and
causing blockage and no waterers draining at all so you got six in of water just sitting on top of that um roof up there and it's it's going to find a way to go somewhere so you're saying whenever we sprayed the water that one time we found leaks and you that it just went somewhere else well we T we put a big tarp around that whole unit and gorilla taped it down just to keep water so that unit didn't get to run this summer because it's if it comes if it comes to rain it just floods the courts what what Patrick how this is evolved to there's four units on that roof that one it's shut down and wrapped up in a tart so we can stop the one leak from happening the other leak that said there was some complaints and this is primarily from the pickle ball groups and we've been complaining about that leak for a year and I went out there and there's no leak right now stay out there for three or four hours there's no leak and apparently it only leaks when I'm not there so five hours pass I go back out there's drops on the floor well I went and turn the air conditioning off the that third unit turned it off had been a leak on there since so the unit's condensating the second unit has got a weird reverse suction so instead of going out the drain line to drain it's sucking water back into the unit filling the pans up and it's about 20 25 gallons of water that pan holds and then just dumps on Force so we're down we're down to two of the four units working and it just progressively is getting worse degrading worse well what I was going to say what would it what would it help if we you know you say something about the the unit on top of the building yeah put yeah put that's what's in this proposal yes that that is in there we looked at doing the sock duck work the same as what's inside the new gym um two big units instead of four and if if y'all noticed how nasty those ducks are inside there it's just years of buildup and you can't take a pocket knif to scratch it off
so so my thought process was you know we we do we did get quite a bit of arpa relief to to the tune of a million dollars we have that in CD that we could use to pay for this or I've given you two options to do short-term financing pledging our our revenue or franchise fees to it and then offsetting Street Improvement percentage to make up of that in our general fund budget originally in our bond when we approved the uh all these projects the soccer field and and baseball field and all that stuff this was in that uh well the walking Track was well I know but we were going to fix air conditioner uh but anyways is there any more of that Bond money left Barbara we're not finished it will there be any yeah there will be a little bit left no because you're going to end up having to pay I think there's 293,000 in there and the Arbitrage on that is going to be about 241,000 that will wind up having to pay and we set that Bond up so that we could use the bond funds to pay it so if you expend the full 293 you're going to have to come up to 241,000 Arbitrage so of the 293 that's left you need to save the 241 to pay the Arbitrage so you have about 49,000 that you use you can use to pay fees and things like that well for for the Layman out there what is arbitr so if you if you borrow $8 million at one 1.9% interest and you put it in the bank account it draws 5% over the time that you have it you make money on it well Uncle Sam wants their share of that you have to pay taxes on it so when you get towards the end of your construction or the end of the fund you
request the bank to run you a a um am amortization on what that Arbitrage might be and as of last week it's going to be around $241,000 and we did we were we did have the foresight to make sure we could use the bond funds to repay it the old Bond wasn't set up that way you had a construction fund you had an admin fund we set this one up as One Fund so we save back enough to pay the Arbitrage so if any of y'all ever been on the roof of the Marvin no it's a real nice it's a real nice ladder like stairs that go up to it you should go look at it what they done years ago is they took what six inches of foam yeah some kind of weird foam and they foam that whole roof over top of the metal so a leak that we have right now there's no black spots on the ceiling or brown spots Mike can't find it it could be coming from 80 feet over here or 80 feet over here enf Roofing I believe was one that came out yeah can't pin point a leak you could run die in it but you're gonna have a really nice blue roof on the inside to find where it comes from that don't come off now Mike I would point out to the council that that ens sent you were Morgan some pictures where they put their fingers under a flap so when you roll out the the tar that that's tar down as the roof they put their finger in and probably a 10- foot stretch of that tar came up and he had it lifted up what about three four inches yeah like three or four feet yeah and so at a minimum it's going to have to be the entire thing is going to have to be and you know recoded somehow and that's just on the asphalt shingles that's on top of the kitchenet that's not the Marvin that's a little bit the Cass stand the kitchenet and a little bit that goes towards the um the weight room is asphalt shingles the rest is the I don't know what kind of foam they used what it's called what kind of guarantee they give
the fish if they replace the roof yeah most I want to say 20 years he was either 15 or 20 years what's where St go years I think I saw him here right years hey on building what kind of warranty did they give you on that roof T was it was it 15 or 20 years you remember I believe it was a 15 year it's what I thought yeah so we're not talking which I don't know they're not yeah so we're not talking having to take this down where you're down to insulation you could scrape and TPO this take the screws out that you see and put a TPO roof same thing it's on the police department most all your buildings downtown now have a big thick white roof and it is sealed and it's good Vann says 20 warranty 20 year I was thinking 15 is it in there it 22 I know I read it in yeah 20 year Ro Point yep is2 the back yeah good catch that it's got to be done also like installation that's that to the gym and look up it's coming down that's off water damage in several places um what they've been doing is taking one in PVC pops and running between the Raptors that pushes that installation back up so when you have on here new flooring
would that be the walking Track as well I think so yes see where it says number 30 the rubber base could be johnsonite or ropy colored they got into an argument over what color so we'll let barara pi whatever that's going to be so that would be that would be the walking Track then yes okay number 29 where it talks about that new for to be Target on the sports mayor just so I can get it in my notes and think about it for a second can you give us those options that you were thinking about again so I gave you two different handouts before the meeting or when that did no oh no there they are so ien I didn't get we actually probably need to meet with Barbara the budget person Comm need to meet so you really have three options you've got your RPD that you can use and there's some short-term financing pledging your franchise revenues but you're talking about a payment of $176,000 you rce that from your general fund you're gonna have to offset that somewhere else either cut your cost but you could take a certain percentage of your street Improvement that's bringing in you know 2.2 million a year reduce that by that 2% or whatever it is and apply that to your general fund that makes up for and if we cash in a CD that was a million dollars you're G to lose 5% of Revenue 60,000 year what and it would be better to do the shortterm finance have a budget meeting I think that would be great idea quick because I long this stuff is going to hold up its prices and it's really good price right now because if you think about the Monroe billing it was . millionair I didn't say
anything Friday FR what time Friday morning or [Music] afternoon what day is oh the baseball committee's meeting on Friday can we not do Wednesday at 4:30 or five wednesday3 Wednesday night's my church night well but I don't think this will take that long I mean four Wednesday would be fine with me if that's fine everybody four o' Wednesday four o' Wednesday yeah who's who else okay I don't know if I can be there actually oh I be there at five I could be there at 5 we make we keep it under 20 minutes I think my class gets out 4:45 go to put you behind St we'll do it at five yeah that works for me about two or three thousand is all 2500 I think the last time all right thank you CCU well you're not getting off you can't you can't pain it off on them no more got to be you this time is it said she's done I thought that were Roger that's Ro I'm sorry I'm Ro Young have my report any questions good to go thank you I'll see you next month thank you
Ro boy Roy you gonna have an ordinance for us next time Ste give you a quick update on our work over at the man property um good news um everything looked good with them they submitted the the commitment letter to the state for the cdpg application we in kind of signed that we're getting the process R to get the CDG uh grant funding applied to the project a little bit under a time crunch on it um if I could ask anything of councel and I don't know when this is going to be yet but once they um once they have the resolution everything drafted for the sake of expediency um and I want to know if I'm off face here if we could have um a public hearing on we have time left through the paper I know it wouldn't be on a typical city council meeting we try to get done before next month but I'd really appreciate that if we can do that save us some time and hope for some money okay the council's open to that we we know that within the next before now the next meeting we're going to need to have that so yeah so that's Rock and rolling everybody's happy part agreed to an arrangement out there CG's Rock andan um and we're just working with West Central funding and development District they were going to be our grant facilitator until it's constru saw I saw some much improvement out on the west IND of town George has come along in fact they were here today doing job interviews so you see some good progress on the west end of town Jordan or U Dodges is that's amazing transition there lot of good
stuff got some good new a good thank you thank you Steve thank you Steve thank n is gonna offer you up today he gonna throw you to the wols all right so you've got my report only thing that we need to discuss is we've made notice of all the put Ms and invoices we reive the healthy amount back and then the banners that everyone voted on last month and the Christmas ones are done the summer ones are almost done and once they are done they should all be just one question I need to meet sometime maybe one day this week to talk to you both about the downtown and man grants and and the criteria for that I had some questions you to me so I'd like to kind of clear those things up awesome though those grants were amazing and you can see you can see the work being done so it looks good thank you got go ahead you'll be here by yourself it's probably 0% complete we have the Gage put on the 12 and it'll be complete and then we and everything for be able C that got a little but it's not bading pretty well under budget actually had the concrete donated so
other than that for August they had 148 violations they wrote 110 tickets gave out 291 warnings accidents we had 31 C had 13 cases Clos 11 on the shooting range it has it's been assigned a name correct yes it be the so there'll be a formal presentation of that any question no sir thank you [Music] Chief so Jordan week from Friday look at at open waiting on the system people to finish up I believe they finish up their ass today punch list Dodges they w't open last week but the help Department heing in trouble so they're hoping maybe next week 15 that's kind of what they're kind of pushing for other than that um of course get a new 30,000 building from of Texas which would be really nice any question oh there is one Park can't tell you what it is but December you shouldn't have even seen that you you just had to do that just couldn't stop can you give us give us a food grp for no come on take a seat chicken fish open I did have a question on the um ballparks what's the update on on the city
ballparks we'll get great okay Brian anything addition from I usually [Music] start that's a mistake cheaper fly like dry fly no sired what your questions y can see we got a lot of asphalt down the G Cherry Arkansas side The Donut Shop Carl Carl we still got St do we're hoping to do this week we get some people on it take a little bit the baseball fields I don't know if you can see them coming along it's kind of hard to unless you can see the prints how how it's going because it's a lot of dirt a lot of dirt a lot of dirt still move but uh the sidewalk CB gutter has been poured there so we should be able to get the sidewalk up and going pretty quick last thing I'm going to do is get off on that new sidewalk bus and have to redo it soccer fields have come a long way still there's always going to be something new when you have a complex like that uh we had sprinklers order we this winter don't put sprinkers in on the other fields that we have SED so I think we have like two maybe three
fields that don't have saw on so they all have saw on most of them are sprinkled and will be sprinkled so should continue look okay sidewalk is completely through there Tyler's been back and all that he's he's Tyler stays on it nonstop and he is constantly on those fields whether we just leave him out there and try to take care of and he's doing a good job thank youy Montgomery looks amazing yeah I want to say thank you to Roy well hang on I'm fix to get in there you fix him up that's why I P up so for for the folks of Clarks I want to paint a picture for you um we got a street department parks department typically they run separate but simultaneous type jobs then we have CCU under a commission we have a storm blow through and there was more damage in that storm across town that I've seen than the previous couple of tornadoes put together we've had here so at some point we had russeville mayor Fred Teague and his crew sent several Folks up here with their equipment we had Parks working for street street working for um Russellville Russellville working with us we had wette Holland and Jackie bitman cleaning up a concession stand for a softball turn you had the mayor and this economic developer on mower mowing to keep up what parks and Street would normally do it was completely one of the proudest moments I've ever seen in my life and I've seen a lot of military operations and it was as fining operations as I've ever seen to see the volunteer work that happened and what they did in that short order having Russellville come help us and then we had um Barbra and Jennifer and Ronda Ling and what's Hera Omron it was
a sorority not just Rhonda so say that againa Omron made donations in the made donations made lunch CCU you've been loaning US Trucks loaning us drivers keeping us on it's absolutely the best thing I've seen happen in CL in my my life ever to watch that team come together and do what they've done in that short order we were so far behind we were three weeks to a month behind just on getting the brush out of people's yards were caught up now and we get back on track so I don't know how to say thank you I I don't know how to to say thank you to those people because that don't do it justice standing what you've done Jackie H you managed what you guys have done there I don't I don't want to understate how important and how big of a deal that was what you just did I don't know if you even realize how big a deal that was but I want to thank you from the very bottom of my heart I'm proud for the help get help I mean CCU still there this week us so it's awesome we've never had that good of a relationship I don't think absolutely wonderful well it's wonderful [Applause] it's been a minute since I've been here I don't think I've seen you guys since I had my baby so and your name j [Music] b' she's been a really great baby but glad to be here with you guys tonight um I'm really glad that um read or touched on that because I was going to say something to that effect um it has been a very very busy summer for par Recreation um but some of the things we pulled off were were amazing it's thanks to to the team that we have um we so just to kind of touch on some
of the things we did our outdoor season closed this um this last month August 12 was closed um our seasonal help life bars and cler they had a wonderful job I think there were several weekends we were max out capacity and they handle it so effortlessly they made my job really easy um and then as soon as the outdoor pool closed we got started on the indor pool and Mike had that we shut down on Monday and we opened up to so he had it closed all weeks and um to the university they came and their swim team came out there the pool they were cleaning with us one morning to help make sure we could get open enough time for practice uh meet so that was amazing and CH from CCU um big help because um we needed back back he have available help us out big time and helping us get it open on time course Park Street everybody that made made some of our events happen um I had some and be workers help with um I have been helping with some of the softball tournaments because straight par is phic Storm clean up and and of course the people at City Hall as well helping get the ball field ready for that tournament that we have come in we had 12 teams come in um few weeks ago during the middle of all the chaos and we pulled it off and our team now is it is a pleasure to work and honestly part Recreation I think the best job because I have most fun um so that being said some of my events coming up we'll have Fall Fest at the lby September 28th we'll have safe treats from Marvin October 26 um some more details come on that later I think um I think the chamber is gonna pull together some activities for uh safe treats maybe the complex
have the normal safe Treats but then maybe like a trunk Retreat going on simultaneously out of the complex the the hope is that we don't have rain the last few years we had rain every night but the extra space that we're have is going to be yeah we're ready this year we got we got another building we're Todd Russell and I are making a Corral with caution tape so that everybody can get in line for their candy and get out of the rain but we'll have so much room this year um hopefully nobody will be having the St in the rain we're really excited about that and then um a few MPV Edition updates um they should they should have finished doing the rubber baseboard installation today whenever I left that's what they were get ready to work on the wall padding will be in the week of the 22nd Lids on the boxes in the floor volleyball receiver and then Wednesday the engineer from that team is going to come in and make a TCH list for everything that they need to touch up we're getting really close on that so it's been really exciting watching it all come together um Triathlon was another success we definitely um faced some struggles in the morning with the the severe weather we had come through um we had one of our pids on top of building buildings and we have bucket trck out getting off the roof that morning and everybody's still trying to do clean up to make the race happen and and it ended up being success but it still work really well no no injuries and then for the kids events there is a group out of Northwest off that has I think 80 80 or more kids and this is one of their like favorite races to come to they they came to us after the race and said the kids that didn't make it were really disappointed they couldn't because all the kids that come back tell them just how awesome it is and how much fun they have and that is just a you huge um it's a great thing to hear they want come back every year and just just the kind of impact it makes
people bring into our town see what we have um I think that's it you guys have any questions yeah I just want to talk a little bit about the new mpb and make a couple points um we are putting because I've got these questions we are putting basketball lines on it volleyball lines on it and pickle ball so that is officially for the record so it's on YouTube everybody can go back and say so they're going to probably finish the varnishing this week maybe next week at the latest we're going to figure out something we got an estimate today of 55,000 to re epoxy that floor the main entrance but I don't think we're going to do that for now so this thing will be it's ready to be open I expect to like a living cutting here towards the end of the month hope all the council can make it I think Mark V would be very very proud of that facility and just officially for the record no we did not go to Costa carport and get scraps to build that building that's exactly how it was designed to do and if you didn't see it at night go by and see it at night because I posted pictures of it and it's absolutely gorgeous gorgeous building inside's even better right that backlit sign looks good yeah it's amazing Yeah Eddie k p picked all the colors and laid that out because he was on that it good I think it was great yeah the old building needs a new Ro I want to introduce Mike I don't know if the council met Mike mik nice meet you I think some of you know me of you may not I'm glad you working for The Aquatic Center mpb um I hope I can do a good job over there I'm trying so Mike's been drinking from the firearm was he's having to learn and fix as he goes along but that from that
that big electrical issue we had with the excavator we lost the scoreboard Jackie what we learn today it's about $8,100 to fix the scoreboard the big the D Tronics board yeah um hopefully after lab hoping or buy a new one at what price 60 probably let's just fix the old one get and then I'll have Mike we'll figure out some glass um I'm learn the new pumps the the hydraulic valves in The Lazy River we're leaking um the the staves I mean what he's what he's done is just it's incredible we're very fortunate to have them so I just wanted to personally thank you and make sure that they knew exactly how hard that the public needs to know how hard that is to run that pool is an absolute Juggernaut to maintain there's so many moving parts so many chemicals so hard to balance it and then he's got a phone that goes with him at home it alerts him that something's wrong he has to you up there all weekend working work Saturday Sunday so it's absolutely amazing so we are absolutely honored to have you on the staff they get the the flooring done the pox no we got to bring those BS to yet I've been Happ 50 60,000 yeah thank you Mike here you haven't seen a new Animal Control building it was supposed to be done in in August I don't know what year of August it could be 26 maybe 25 I don't know but it still isn't done it's closed
they put the roof in today the ceiling new lights hanging Gates and then P the sidewalk and it's up there so Daniel um public we're a he's averaging about five rescues a month but this month was 14 um the animal and that that's not even touching the feral cat and what Diane is doing it's um the animal the animal NE neglect in this community is it's it's it's bad and um it's a constant fight and we we can't throw enough money at it right now to fix it I don't know it's going to take an Outreach from the people to stop doing it right stop breeding and turning dogs loose if you got faal cats call Diane she'll come trap them she'll spay and neuter them that's the best program I've ever seen in my life because the cats live in the neighborhood they keep snakes and rodents and bugs and everything down but they don't breathe and so we've got people in town that just want to keep the cats and just keep letting them breed and and it's a constant fight and Daniel's been in that he's fighting that war with them right now and that's done an easy job but we've been needy Paul has been a good partner with us they're helping us who's the lady that's been helping move dogs is it Rebecca yeah she's been amazing amazing partner for us to help them move dogs that wouldn't otherwise they're facing euthanasia but she's founding my home so very fortunate to have so it's um we got a new building coming up it's at the end of Lucas and black so hopefully sometime we'll get going put it's frustrating it's almost as bad as the gates of TV a nothing report got a meeting in October motion to so move
