Board of Public Works - Regular Meeting

Good morning everybody. Welcome to the regular meeting of the city of Charlestown Board of Public Works. Today is December 16th, 2025. It's 9:00 a.m. We'll begin our meeting with the pledge of allegiance [clears throat] to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Reference show this meeting is being live streamed by under production multimedia. Uh board members present are Maggie Wild and Mayor Hodes. Ernie Thompson was unable to be with us today. We also have deputy clerk treasurer Lacy Hammond and our attorney McCall is with us. We have an agenda that's been provided. Entertain a motion to approve. I'll make that motion. We have our standing business which includes our minutes from December 2nd, our current claims and our payroll allowance docket from November 24th to December 7th. I'll make a motion to approve. We just have one action item and that is our sanitation write offs. Um, very low amount, $78.66. This was due to a property that was sold. So, I see a motion to approve. I'll make that motion. And that is it, ladies and gentlemen. I will announce for the good of the community that we are in the final swing of our Christmas activities. holiday activities. Um we added two bonus nights just for the board's [snorts] knowledge um because of having to cancel Saturday and Sunday last weekend and it was so cold. So we are running the train and trolley tonight. Um so Tuesday and Wednesday night of course the family activities part of the market is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then Monday night we have our reindeer our live reindeer night and that will be for the year except the light show will still run through January 1st of course but as far as that rest of that we give our break and let them go recover from the Christmas season.
