All right, we're recording. So, we'll go ahead and get started. We're going to skip the pledge of motion to approve the minutes.

0:23 – 1:41Speaker 1

I'll make second. I think I'm part of that count. We got we need to decide what we're going to do with next year's board appointments ABC ever. jail is still

1:47 – 2:32Speaker 1

I was wondering about that the other day trains were going by quite often down here. They were working on the tracks for like two weeks and I was wondering about that myself. I haven't heard anything if they are probably with the EDC if there's anything going on as far as I know. Yeah. So I make a motion we just leave them unless we hear different from anybody. I'll second that. Thank you. complaint.

2:33Speaker 1

No, not a report.

2:35 – 3:40Speaker 1

We don't have a marshall's report or superintendent utilities report. So, we did have a complaint on the grimes property. I replied to Mrs. Johnson and she may be at our next meeting. And Jill said yesterday she's sending out a letter to them. However, right now her computers and Camila's computers, the ones that won't be backed up today and replaced. She didn't have a computer to type on. So anyway, just so you're aware of that and she said they were riding bikes. I don't know exactly where, but Christie thought they were going around the property on the outside of the property. So I'm not sure,

3:38 – 4:23Speaker 1

but Jill's aware of it. [snorts] Okay. So he's not around anymore. He passed away. Yeah, he did. And I think I believe they're living I don't know. The children are living at Joe Bradford's old house, I believe. Okay. But that's not the problem. It's just the debris and stuff. Okay. Is anybody? Yes. Okay. Jeff Jeff says yes. one of the older kids. Okay. Anyway, that that was she sent a text to me about that. So, I got back with her.

4:24Speaker 1

Jeff, you want to do some computers?

4:26 – 5:18Speaker 1

Yeah, the last two computers will be back today. Um, he didn't download everything from one computer to another because he said sometimes stuff doesn't completely with the computers as old as they were. So, he cloned the computers. Don't ask me what the difference is, but everything then that was on the old computers is back on the new ones. Don't really see any difference in them except that it's much quicker and and we can actually download the things we need to download now. And so, he did Cody and I last week, kept them overnight, brought them back the next day, and then yesterday he came and got Jill's and Camila's and they'll be back today and then that'll all be done.

5:15 – 5:56Speaker 1

Does he give us the old hard drives? If we wanted we get everything back we need to clean them off. Oh, okay. I just want to make sure there's no personal he didn't know what you guys wanted to do with the old we have otherwise as long as He gives you a letter or whatever come back information elect repair. What do you know on that? You were going to call after last meeting.

5:53 – 6:54Speaker 1

Yeah, I called and talked to them. They're saying that we put a bridge. We don't meet the $6,500 part, but if we put a bridge in from this building to that, which is like $100, there's a connection there. A tech person could hook up and it would solve our problem. I guess it just loses connection for some reason. They have the same problem with other places where the internet I don't exactly understand why you sent me a picture on building on the tech try.

6:57 – 7:36Speaker 1

They would cost us more because of the trip. We don't mind I'll pictures or I thought about maybe do it or Scott Scott Sh. person for the Air Force. He's retired out by El.

7:42 – 8:23Speaker 1

Okay. Hey, so used to work with a real he and his son graduated and He's tech guy from community high school. Is it or whatever? Yeah, I know who the guy who the real estate guy is. Yeah. Yeah. And we also have Scott here. was delic.

8:25 – 8:44Speaker 1

Okay. So, we have several options there. We'll look into it. Okay. People are getting a little They're questioning all the time. Where's all the announcements? It's an exp. It's an expensive sign for just the time and temp.

8:55 – 9:39Speaker 1

Yeah. So, it doesn't we could just tell them we're doing a test. We're just seeing how many people pay attention to it. Hopefully we get that fixed soon as the weather breaks or soon. Then the only other thing I had was um we just approved the docket for all the bills I've received up till today, but there will be some stragglers in here between now and this end of the week and everything. I just need approval to pay all the remaining invoices for 2025 and clear out the year. I'll make the second

9:42 – 10:25Speaker 1

you have any old business, Andy? New business, the town attorney. Um, I need to I contacted Kendra Lyn. I need to talk to her about pay now and how how we want to approach that. It's my feeling that she doesn't have to be at every meeting like Ann was, you know, just as basic as needed basis is what I'm doing. We had a pretty good deal with Ann obviously and she was pretty loyal to us. What's your thoughts?

10:22 – 10:57Speaker 1

Yeah, with with the new age and everything with us everything, you know, Somebody comes and has a complaint, you know, used to it was nice to have there. So she got firsthand. Well, with us reporting everything now, you know, pops up with the problem, we can, you know, like we used to, hey, you know, we'll have a man look into it, you know,

10:53 – 11:37Speaker 1

that way, you know, go from there. Yeah. Hopefully by our next meeting and I'll be able to finalize what kind of charges or how should we want to charge make sure we're within budget. Okay. Or we'll have to make some decisions. Sounds good. Are you good with that then? I did send flowers yesterday for her years of service. I was thinking about that.

11:34 – 11:57Speaker 1

So, thank you. we looking at on board? Well, you just that's we did that at the beginning instead of Okay, I forgot the board appointments were up there and I was just adding to it. Um, now we're at the 2026 council officers and meeting dates. Andy, what do you want? What do you want to do?

12:03Speaker 1

I don't think so because he keeps telling me it's my problem. Okay.

12:15 – 12:49Speaker 1

We can we can show up. So I'll keep doing it if you don't mind. I don't mind. Yeah. I mean it's it is what it is. We're pretty limited on resources obviously. two more years. I don't know. I think what is it? Two years. Yeah. Joe's shaking his head erratically. Yes.

12:46 – 13:21Speaker 1

No, he's not really. Yeah, I think so. I mean, it's, you know, it is what it is. It's sometimes it's a little more and sometimes, you know, nothing going on. Yeah. What about meeting dates? I feel like we ought to leave it consistent with what we have. And what about vice vice chair? You want to leave it? Yeah. All right. You want to just make a make a motion for that?

13:22 – 14:06Speaker 1

Dates are second. We have any utility adjustments? No, but I do have a couple things I missed. Um, we got the invoice from Chamber of Commerce for the dues for next year. If you guys are wanting to continue with that, how much are they? 3,000 as a platinum partner. What do you feel, Andy? That's the chamber. Yeah. You want to make a motion for Yeah, I'll make I

14:04 – 14:21Speaker 1

we get I mean we do get things from them and help and stuff. So um she offer she at least offers a lot of times for different things and it's changed you know it changed over from Julia to the the new lady. Yes.

14:19 – 14:54Speaker 1

And then also we got a letter from Mark Smith. This is not really something I guess has to be dealt with right now. He said Mark He a whole book. Um he's the head for the county I guess for the 250th birthday next year United States and just wanting to know if the town will be doing anything special or whatever so that he can keep a list of what's going on. That's something are they?

14:51 – 15:27Speaker 1

They're not recommending anything. Um I did get an email I mean we want to really do and I did get an email. They have come out with a 250 year um pole flags like what we put out the banners. Yeah, like that one. But for the 250, it's got like a red, white, and blue 2026 that says 200 years or something like that. But that's all I've got so far on it. They want us to we're going to do anything. They want us to start
